The Epoch Times: Under Court Deal, Binance Can Continue US Operations as It Battles SEC Fraud Charges
Binance reached an agreement with the SEC allowing it to operate in the US while facing fraud charges. Binance will repatriate all assets held for the benefit of its US trading customers and is required to create new digital wallets within two weeks. The SEC has accused Binance of operating as an unregistered securities exchange and diverting customer funds. The order signed by the judge prohibits defendants from spending assets other than for business expenses, while requiring SEC oversight on any spending and prohibiting the destruction of records. The cryptocurrency industry has been marred by scandals and market meltdowns, prompting SEC chair Gary Gensler's remark that the crypto markets are more like the "Wild West" and investors aren't adequately protected.

If he accomplishes either feat, he would be the first player in MLS history to do so in back-to-back seasons. With 82 goal involvements (goals + assists) since the start of the 2021 season, Mukhtar is also 10 shy of the record for a three-season stretch.
