The Federalist Papers: Kari Lake Stumps for Trump in Florida, Watch What Happens When She Says DeSantis' Name
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis received prolonged boos when his name was mentioned by one of Donald Trump's top surrogates, Kari Lake, during her visit to Florida to meet with voters in Palm Beach County. Just a few months ago, DeSantis won the Florida gubernatorial race by a massive margin, but the crowd seemed to favor Trump over DeSantis, making it tough for him to win the GOP primaries. DeSantis has also been trailing Trump in polls by 40 points, which could be a big challenge for him to lead the anti-Trump campaign.
Fox News: Popular Republican governor in key battleground 'leaning' against re-election bid
New Hampshire Republican Governor Chris Sununu has indicated that he may not run for a fifth term as governor, despite winning the 2020 election by double digits. Sununu said although he has not made a definitive decision, it might be time for someone else to take the mantle, and he has opportunities to earn more money in the private sector. Democrats see this as an opportunity to seize control of the state in the upcoming gubernatorial election, with one Democratic candidate already running, and another expected to announce their candidacy soon.

It's rumored that the couple's insane spending, including $2 million a year on security, may lead them to financial ruin.
Red State: Professor Complains About Feeling ‘Anxiety’ When He Sees the American Flag
Milwaukee NPR station WUWM host Teran Powell and Marquette University Philosophy professor Grant Silva express anxiety towards the American flag. They believe it can represent exclusion, particularly for non-white people, and that patriotism can quickly slip into nationalism. They argue that anxiety towards the American flag stems from a fear of embracing the nation’s past mistakes and ongoing struggles. However, it is important to acknowledge that the flag represents not only historical blemishes but also remarkable progress achieved in terms of racial equality. People like Powell and Silva allow a symbol to cause them anxiety when it shouldn’t. Instead of allowing a symbol to cause anxiety, it would make more sense to consider how we can continue making progress in this country.
