He expresses concern that this practice could give Chinese companies a competitive edge in the global marketplace.
Breitbart: Gallagher: China Exploits Biden's Desire to Meet with Them and We've Avoided Tough Actions to Get a Meeting
Rep. Gallagher believes that China uses this ardent pursuit of meetings to further its agenda and slow-rolls necessary defensive actions. He warns that this "zombie engagement" could lead to the death of commonsense steps needed to defend the country.
Breitbart: Waltz: We're Rewarding China with a Meeting the Same Way We Rewarded Russia After Pipeline Hack
Rep. Michael Waltz (R-FL) criticized Secretary of State Antony Blinken's trip to China, stating that it rewards bad behavior by the Chinese Communist Party. Waltz compared it to the Biden administration's meeting with Russia after the Colonial pipeline hack, which he believes rewarded Russia's bad behavior. He also argued that the Biden administration's view that engagement with China will lead to a change in their bad behavior is flawed, citing China's recent harassment and spying activities against the US.

National Review: The Corner: What to Do about College Accreditation?
College accreditation is a flawed system that is more concerned with inputs and policies rather than educational standards. Accreditors are now using their power to force schools to adopt leftist diversity policies. Legislation is being proposed to limit the power of accreditors, but the root issue would be resolved if schools were required to repay the loans of students who don't pay back their loans, thus changing schools' incentives and encouraging them to improve educational standards.

Red State: Opinion: ACLU Makes the Worst Argument Against Death Penalty, Citing Transgender Serial Killer
The ACLU made a weak argument against the death penalty by suggesting that a murderer was denied the "essence of human dignity" by not being given a medical gender transition before execution. Duane Owen brutally raped and murdered a 14-year-old girl, in addition to raping and murdering another woman and attacking multiple victims. The argument of denying someone the chance to be who they were meant to be before death is not a valid reason to oppose the death penalty.
