Kennedy has bipartisan support and is viewed favorably by 49 percent of respondents, with a net favorability rating of 19 points. Meanwhile, President Joe Biden has a minus 7 net favorability rating and former President Donald Trump has a minus 10 net favorability rating. Kennedy has conservative views on issues like the Second Amendment and illegal immigration but aligns with the Biden administration on abortion. Some view Kennedy's early polling numbers as a sign of the Democratic party's discontent with Biden's job performance.
The Federalist Papers: Biden Helped Off Stage After Puzzling Remark Regarding the Deceased Queen of England
Joe Biden made a bizarre speech on gun control in Connecticut. He thanked the crowd and said "God save the queen, man" but Queen Elizabeth II died nine months ago. If Biden was giving a speech on the importance of the relationship between the United States and Great Britain, maybe this would make sense. There was no reason to mention the queen. Biden also seemed unaware of where he should exit and needed an aide to help him off stage. These two embarrassing moments are really a bad look for Biden, which shows his age catching up to him in every possible way.

The Supreme Court upholds the Indian Child Welfare Act, which requires state courts to place American Indian children with Indian caretakers, if possible. Congress found that Indian children were being placed in non-Indian foster and adoptive homes due to states failing to recognize the cultural and social standards of Indian communities and families. The majority of the court held that Congress has authority to pass the ICWA under the Indian Commerce Clause, which authorizes Congress to regulate commerce with Indian tribes.

Red State: Dem Politician Steps in it Big Time With Comment from Dodgers Game Honoring Drag 'Nuns'
Dodger Stadium faced protests as they sought to honor the "Sisters of the Perpetual Indulgence,"an anti-Catholic drag queen group, with a Community Hero Award. Many wore red to protest and thousands called out the Dodgers for recognizing such a group. Supervisor Lindsay Horvath's congratulations to the group for their commitment to "Catholic values" led to public outrage and calls for her to resign. The event was held under the name of Vin Scully, a legendary Dodger broadcaster and Catholics are not likely to forget this move.

ISIS-linked terrorists from the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) attacked a school in western Uganda, killing 37 people and abducting six others. The attackers fled towards Congo and police said eight other victims are in critical condition. The ADF is an insurgent group that attacks targets in both Uganda and Congo.

The Epoch Times: People 'Up to Date' With COVID-19 Vaccines More Likely to Be Infected: Study
A new study by researchers at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio found that people who had received bivalent COVID-19 vaccines were more likely to get infected than those who had not. This held true even after adjusting for factors such as age and job location, and even for those who had received updated bivalent vaccines. The Omicron XBB subvariant was dominant in the US during the study's timeframe, and the bivalent vaccines from Moderna and Pfizer only target the BA.4 and BA.5 strains in addition to the old Wuhan strain. Being "up to date" on vaccines did not provide better protection, as the vaccines were not effective against XBB lineages, and the CDC does not recognize the protection from natural immunity. The study included 48,344 employees of the Cleveland Clinic, covering Jan. 29, 2023, to May 10, 2023.

A study found that a dog's social life has a stronger impact on its health than finances. While household income does have an effect, social support is five times stronger. The study was conducted through the Dog Aging Project, which surveyed over 21,000 dog owners. Questions ranged from diet and environment to medication and factors such as neighborhood stability, total household income, social time with children, social time with animals, and owner age were taken into consideration. The study reinforces the notion that social connectedness has a positive effect on dog health.

Mexican military arrested a Los Zetas lieutenant connected to multiple killings and a 2008 terrorist attack on a US consulate in Mexico. Héctor Raúl "El Tory" Luna Luna was arrested in Puebla, and was driving a Yukon Denali vehicle when he was surrounded by authorities and detained. El Tory is expected to face multiple federal charges in Mexico City.
