Daily Wire: Former White House Deputy Press Secretary Ousted For Allegedly Threatening Reporter Joins Biden Campaign
Former White House Deputy Press Secretary Ousted For Allegedly Threatening Reporter Joins Biden Campaign
Former White House Deputy Press Secretary T.J. Ducklo, who was ousted from there two years ago for allegedly threatening and sexually harassing a reporter, has been hired by President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign. Ducklo resigned in February 2021 after telling Politico reporter Tara Palmeri in an off-the-record call that he would “destroy her” over an investigative story into the potential conflict of interest in his relationship with an Axios reporter and for sexually harassing her. Despite only being suspended, Ducklo resigned the next day.

After a year with New York-based public relations firm Risa Heller Communications, and a stint as a chief communications officer and senior advisor to Nashville Mayor John Cooper, Ducklo was recently hired by the Biden campaign, serving alongside Democratic National Committee’s former National Press Secretary Michael Tyler as Communications Director and recently-departed White House Office of Digital Strategy Director Rob Flaherty. Ducklo’s hire has drawn criticism for contradicting Biden’s promise to fire any employee found to have mistreated a colleague.

Forbes: Take A BTR Vehicle, Bolt On A Pair Helicopter Rocket Pods—Then Open Fire And Hope For The Best
Take A BTR Vehicle, Bolt On A Pair Helicopter Rocket Pods—Then Open Fire And Hope For The Best
Russian forces in Ukraine are employing a new armored vehicle, the BTR-80 with 32-round rocket pods, as part of a series of growing DIY technicals, such as the MT-LB armored tractor. This reflects the problems arising from high demand and limited resources, with the Kremlin losing over 500 armored vehicles per month during the first 16 months of the war in Ukraine, and only producing a few hundred new and reconditioned vehicles to replace them. Russian and allied forces have a long tradition of fitting UB-style rocket pods to trailers, trucks, fighting vehicles, and even tanks but the inherent problem of accuracy remains, reducing the effectiveness of these wider expedients.

The American Spectator: My Father’s Favorite Stories
My Father’s Favorite Stories
A tribute to Ivan D. Thunder, a man of honor and devotion who passed away at 97. He was a veteran of Iwo Jima and loved stories of honor, duty, and romantic love. He attended a reunion of his battalion in New Orleans and visited St. Martinville, Louisiana, the setting of Longfellow's love story Evangeline. He also enjoyed tales of Russian Count Nikolai Rezanov and travel memoirs like Two Years Before the Mast. His favorite musicals included The Desert Song and The Vagabond King. These stories and films shaped him into the man he was.
