The Federalist Papers: Hollywood Star Eva Longoria Recoils, Pushes Biden's Wandering Hands Away at White House Event
President Biden was criticized on social media for an awkward hug with actress Eva Longoria during a screening of her movie at the White House. In a slowed-down video, viewers suggested that Biden’s hands wandered inappropriately, and Longoria redirected them. Some commenters called the move “disgusting and despicable,” while others dismissed it as a nothing-burger. Biden has a history of allegations of inappropriate touching with women, including a sexual assault accusation by former staffer Tara Reade. Despite the controversy, neither Biden nor Longoria has commented on the viral video clip.

The Epoch Times: GOP Senator Issues Warning to Fox News Over Matt Walsh's Allegations About Network
Fox News is allegedly promoting left-wing initiatives, including “pride” month, according to Daily Wire writer Matt Walsh. Internal documents published on Walsh’s Twitter account show that Fox News is supporting a group which gives sterilising hormones to homeless youth, and allegedly uses AI to monitor employees. Fox News has not responded publicly to these claims, and Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) has warned it that it risks alienating its own audience if Walsh’s allegations are correct. Failure to disprove Walsh’s claims could allow other broadcasting companies to appeal to right-wing audiences, according to Lee.
New York City laws mandate that all employers use pronouns, titles and names with which individuals identify, but Daily Wire writer Matt Walsh alleges that Fox News has refused to abide by these standards. Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) has called on Fox to issue a public statement if Walsh’s assertions are incorrect, but has suggested that failure to disprove claims could cause loyal viewers to desert the network in favour of other right-wing broadcasters. Fox News has claimed that it continues to dominate online news organizations, with some 3.1 billion “multiplatform minutes” generated in June alone.

Newsbusters: PBS: Trump Part of 'International Cabal' Who 'Support the Idea of Dictatorship'
Yale professor Timothy Snyder discussed the potential dangers posed by Trump's legal woes with Christiane Amanpour on PBS's Amanpour & Co. Snyder faulted Trump for calling the justice system corrupt, and bizarrely labeled it fascism. Snyder backhandedly praised Boris Johnson for at least not being a Trumpian "dictator" who admires Vladimir Putin. Throughout the interview, both Amanpour and Snyder expressed alarm at the threat of political violence ginned up by Trump supporters, while not addressing the actual political violence at BLM-inspired protests in the summer of 2020.

Newsbusters: Ben Shapiro RIPS WashPost for ‘Most Dishonest Headline Ever’ on Target ‘Trans’ Terrorism
Ben Shapiro criticizes The Washington Post for publishing "the most dishonest headline ever" regarding a Target bomb threat article. Shapiro accuses the newspaper of attempting to deceive its readers by burying important information deep in an article and not disclosing that suspected perpetrators were members of the LGBT community and were upset over the removal rather than the existence of the pride merchandise. The Post has covered this subject before, including an article whining about Target's decision to remove pride month items made by a Satanic designer. Shapiro suggests that readers would falsely believe that fans of Matt Walsh were responsible for the threats.

Forbes: President Biden Hosts A Meeting: Junk Fee Or Not Junk Fee?
President Biden met with event ticketing representatives to discuss ending "junk fees" which are added at the final checkout page. However, the agreement reached only requires displaying the final price at the beginning of the transaction, without changing the total cost. While this may change consumers' decision-making processes, the cost of ticketing remains high due to competition on search engines like Google. Furthermore, while some markets are moving towards all-in pricing, confusion may arise as some venues may still charge additional fees.

It had been discovered that Executive Health had "systematically" misclassified patients to improperly bill higher rates for inpatient services. The DoJ decided not to intervene, but proposed a dismissal of the case in 2019 despite years of Polansky's efforts. The court ruled that the DoJ could make such decisions over the objections of whistleblowers under the False Claims Act.
The Epoch Times: Empathetic Manipulation: A Class on How to ‘Support’ Parents of ‘Gender Diverse’ Children
A therapist at the CAMFT conference presented a class on how therapists can manipulate parents of gender diverse children to ignore potential mental health issues and blindly affirm their child's chosen gender identity. She categorized parents into "transformers," "transphobics," and "transporters" and instructed therapists to encourage parents to accept their child as transgender without question, and to call Child Protective Services if they do not comply. She also instructed therapists to keep a child's transgender identity secret from parents if the child is not "out," even favoring the affirming parent in custody situations. She referenced a clinical psychologist who believes a toddler unsnapping a onesie is communicating a desire to be a girl and that puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones are benign, despite psychological harms and potentially irreversible effects.

Jennifer Sahr, a college student in 2008, who left her newborn beside a South Carolina highway, has been sentenced to four years in prison for "Baby Boy Horry's" death. She pleaded "Not guilty" but took an Alford plea, which allowed her to maintain her innocence whilst admitting it was likely there was enough evidence for a guilty verdict. Sahr posed no threat to society, said her lawyer and questioned what message the "slap on the wrist" sentence would send. The prosecutor, however, said the strong message needed to be sent about this act of abandonment.

Forbes: Why Retail Needs To Market Loyalty Better – From Amazon, Starbucks And NASCAR
Some loyalty programs are undermarketed and receive little attention from retailers. For example, Amazon’s Prime Reading and Amazon First Reads benefits are often overlooked, even though they provide free access to digital books, audiobooks, magazines and comics. Ikea’s loyalty program, Ikea Family, offers extended price protection, access to member-only events, and free workshops, but is also under the radar. Starbucks rewards have changed in the last year, with the introduction of 25 bonus stars for members who bring reusable cups, but the brand stopped adhering peel-off “Star Reward” stickers to its bags of coffee sold at retail. Despite the inconsistency in marketing budgets for loyalty programs, retailers can adopt four foundational requirements to maximize each dollar spent: (1) ensure they are collecting the correct insights; (2) know where they need to be, when; (3) be more experiential and less promotional, and; (4) bring a data wizard on board.
