The Epoch Times: Hong Kong’s Major Journalist Group Swimming Against the Tide Under Financial Difficulties and Political Challenges
The Hong Kong Journalists Association (HKJA) faces financial difficulties due to a significant reduction in membership. The group has survived so far amid shrinking finances, stifling press freedom in the territory, and mounting political challenges. HKJA held its annual general meeting last week, during which its newly re-elected chairman, Ronson Chan, talked to the media about the group's current situation of shrinking membership and weakening financial strength. The plunging membership comes at a time of political deterioration in Hong Kong in recent years when major outspoken media outlets have been closing down out of political pressure.
The HKJA has been encountering the pressure of disbandment upon heavy criticisms from the pro-Beijing camp in Hong Kong. It has repeatedly been undergoing heavy criticism from Beijing’s mouthpieces in Hong Kong, which accuse the group of committing numerous “evil deeds.” The plunging membership comes at a time of political deterioration in Hong Kong in recent years when major outspoken media outlets have been closing down out of political pressure. HKJA passed a decision to lower the threshold on self-disbandment, from the portion of five-sixths to only a half of all members voting for it. Most recently, war of words between HKJA and the government is not a rare scene. HKJA condemned the police for obstructing the press from performing its duties, while the police reprimanded HKJA for its statements not being true to the facts.
American Thinker: Welcome to Comey's Grand Illusion Book Tour
Discredited former FBI director James Comey's book tour attempts to rewrite history and gaslight the American people. Comey, who has a well-documented track record of corruption, made a partisan decision to protect then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during the investigation into her use of a private email account while in office. Despite overwhelming evidence, Comey concluded that there was no case against Clinton. Comey's unethical behavior continued after President Trump's inauguration, with him ordering FBI agents to meet with former national security adviser Michael Flynn in an attempt to set him up. President Trump ultimately fired Comey, prompting a subsequent two-year obstruction of justice attempt by the Intelligence Community to bring down a sitting president.
American Thinker: Trump Indictment a Violation of Federal Law
The indictment against President Trump by Jack Smith and his prosecutors faces multiple legal challenges. The Presidential Records Act gives a former president unrestrained access to the presidential records and does not create an exception prohibiting the former President’s access to records marked as secret, classified, or confidential. The Espionage Act does not apply to records that have been declassified by a president, and even if it controlled over the Presidential Records Act, Trump already declassified all documents in his possession before leaving Washington. The grand jury illegally convened in the Republican-hating District of Columbia, indicting for acts that allegedly happened in Florida, lacks legal authority under the Constitution. The overly-broad search warrant violates the specificity provision of the 4th Amendment and ineffective assistance of counsel warrants another ground for immediate dismissal. The Hatch Act prohibits a United States Government agent or employee from using their “official authority or influence for the purpose of interfering with or affecting the result of an election,” which Smith and Garland have violated through the indictment. Democrats and independents factored in, more Americans believe these charges are political than not. The indictment against President Trump should be immediately dismissed.
American Thinker: Twenty Republicans Save Adam Schiff from Censure
Fox News reports that twenty Republicans voted against a resolution that would have censured Rep. Adam Schiff for repeatedly peddling the Trump-Russia collusion hoax. Schiff's lies caused instability and probably cost Republicans the House during the 2018 mid-terms. This is part of a Democrat coup to unseat President Trump, who was elected by the citizens of America. Democrats are now targeting conservatives, calling them domestic terrorists, and curbing citizens' freedoms and rights. They are the enemy of the people.
These betrayers are adept at deception and promise to drain the swamp but vote against the interests of their constituents. Voters should judge Republicans solely by their actions and not by their empty words. When President Trump wins reelection in 2024, he needs allies on Capitol Hill, but it appears that power will always reside with the Washington Democrat establishment. This is a crisis.
American Thinker: Trump Arrested -- Film at 11:00
: Trump's opposition is digging themselves into deeper holes through mindlessly repeating actions which yield negative results. The Bragg arrest did not accomplish anything except increase Trump's poll numbers and eliminate the remainder of the GOP primary field. Meanwhile, the desperation of his opposition only grows more evident as the 2024 election approaches. Trump's success in the previous election came from exploiting pushback against the globalist agenda and Trump 2024 now enjoys stronger tailwinds since he possesses a record of success and the landscape is littered with political, global and economic chaos.
: When Trump took office, North Korea was a primary global concern which he immediately resolved. However, the situation in Ukraine is now in ruins, the Taliban is armed and reinvigorated, the War Lobby is bringing us dangerously close to nuclear conflict, Saudis have aligned with China, and Europe's gas supply has been cut. Interest rates have soared, bank failures are developing, and the administration is planning to evacuate Americans from Taiwan. Trump's opposition is only contributing to the chaos with their desperate actions. However, something else is occurring, as a revolt forms against the woke agenda and its many facets, resulting in the 2024 election being reduced to a contest between truth and lies. Trump, with his record of success and traversing a landscape of chaos, has stronger tailwinds than ever before.

Fox News: 'The View's' outrage over climate activists vandalizing Monet work ridiculed: 'Performance art'
Climate activists vandalized a Claude Monet painting at the Swedish National Museum, prompting condemnation from co-hosts of "The View." While Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg said art should not be used as a political weapon, "The Five" host Greg Gutfeld argued that their reaction was driven by the incident making their cause look bad. Two women claimed responsibility for the action, citing a desire to pressure policymakers on greenhouse gas emissions. Police said the incident is being investigated as aggravated vandalism.
