The Federalist: 6 Reasons DOJ’s 'Get Trump' Docs Case Is Seriously Flawed
Former U.S. attorney, Will Scharf, has expressed concerns regarding the indictment of former President Donald Trump in the documents case by Special Counsel Jack Smith. Scharf identifies six key issues surrounding the way the case is being conducted, including the interplay between the Espionage Act and the Presidential Records Act and the difficulty in proving mens rea due to Trump's rights under the PRA. Other issues Scharf identifies are the role of classification and National Defense Information, allegations of DOJ misconduct by senior officials, issues surrounding attorney-client privilege, and the timing of the case.
The Federalist: We Must Resurrect Tea Party Principles For 2024
Conservative activists must reject political trends of the past eight years and return to Tea Party principles to elect good people to public office, win policy battles, and save the republic. The right needs to engage in important fights as the institutional left does to properly deploy its resources. Conservative media must put emphasis on local elections, inject energy and new blood into them, and offer proper solutions. The right should promote the rightward-most viable candidate and use the broken media ecosystem against itself in primaries. Winning in the court of public opinion requires rejecting the left’s false premises, framing messages in basic sense and truth, and never compromising on bedrock conservative principles.

The Epoch Times: Supreme Court Holds Bankruptcy Law Trumps Tribal Sovereignty
The US Supreme Court has ruled 8-1 that federal bankruptcy law supersedes Indian tribes’ sovereign immunity in Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians v. Coughlin . The tribe argued that it could not be sued and that bankruptcy protections, such as the law’s automatic stay of collection efforts when an individual files for bankruptcy, did not operate to block its efforts to seek repayment of a debt from a person who filed for bankruptcy. The court, however, disagreed. Coughlin sued the tribe for almost $173,000 in damages and attorney fees for the collection efforts that he says caused severe emotional distress.

The Epoch Times: Australia Reports Surprise Drop in Unemployment Rate in May
Australian unemployment rate dips to 3.6% in May, with an increase of 76,000 jobs, higher than consensus forecasts of 17,500. Economists believe the data could lead to another interest rate hike in July by the Reserve Bank. However, the underemployment rate grew by 0.3% to 6.4%. Response from Treasurer Jim Chalmers and economists expressed optimism for the robust labour market showing, despite the expectation that the jobless rate would trend up in the coming months due to higher interest rates and a weakened global economy.

The Federalist: Cormac McCarthy And The Language Of The Common Man
The author Cormac McCarthy has passed away, leaving a legacy of work that explores the hard questions about human existence, using rich and witty language to portray the moral commitment and values of the common man in the southern American dialect. While critics perceived his work to be bleak, McCarthy affirms the themes of basic moral commitment, strong values, and decency through his portrayal of characters. In his final novel, "Stella Maris", McCarthy explores his personal interests and fascination through the character of Alicia, although she remains attached to the world of the common man through her admiration for her grandmother.

The Federalist: Study: Charter Schools Outperform Traditional Public Schools
Charter schools are generally better than traditional public schools, according to a study by researchers at Stanford University’s Center for Research on Education Outcomes. The study found that charter school students were generally ahead in English and math, although gains varied among states and schools, particularly those under a charter management organization. Traditional public schools can learn from charters by adopting straightforward teaching methods and discipline, but they lack the selectivity offered by charters, the article said. The burden that weaker students place on the classroom and campus cannot be overstated, it added.

Fox News: Meet the American who founded Father's Day, Sonora Smart Dodd, daughter of Civil War veteran and devoted dad
Sonora Smart Dodd founded Father's Day in Spokane, Washington, in 1910, inspired by her devoted father, William Jackson Smart, a Civil War veteran. Dodd was a devoted daughter, but also a free spirit, pursuing dreams and passions far from home. Dodd gifted loved ones with books and encouragement throughout her life. Father's Day thrived in Spokane and spread to other communities, but failed to generate the same national enthusiasm as Mother's Day until the U.S. Congress finally passed a joint Father's Day resolution on Dec. 28, 1970 — after six decades of being championed by Dodd.
