The Blaze: NYC mayor admits his invitation to house illegal aliens at Gracie Mansion was purely symbolic
NYC Mayor Eric Adams offers to house illegal immigrants at Gracie Mansion, citing his belief in leading from the front. This comes after parents demanded the mayor open up his five-bedroom estate to the migrants who have overrun schools and other public spaces. Adams acknowledges legal limitations but reiterates his willingness to help alleviate the migrant crisis. NYC has already spent close to $4.3 billion dealing with this issue, and the roughly 80,000 illegal aliens received so far is a small fraction of those who have entered the country since President Joe Biden took office.

Fox News: RFK Jr tells Joe Rogan he has to ‘be careful’ the CIA doesn’t assassinate him
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. claims that the CIA might assassinate him if he wins the presidency due to his connection with his uncle, former President John F. Kennedy's assassination. He stated that both the military and intelligence community were "at war" with his uncle, and they tried to mislead the late president into deploying troops to multiple countries like Cuba and Vietnam. His consistent polling numbers and growing support could inspire a third-party challenger who might siphon votes away from President Biden.

Breitbart: Rep. Clyde: Res. to Block Stabilizer Brace Rule Sends Message to Court
The House of Representatives has passed H.J. Res. 44, which aims to overturn the ATF's pistol brace rule. GOP Congressman Andrew Clyde discussed the Senate's response, stating that he believes there will be at least two or three Democrats in their chamber who will vote in favor of the resolution. Clyde also believes that the passage of the resolution will send a strong message to the courts about Congress's intent regarding legislation related to short barrel rifles and pistols. This victory comes despite President Biden's threatened veto.
Washington Free Beacon: Obama Slams GOP ‘Minority Candidates’ as Too Eager To ‘All Get Along’
Former President Barack Obama criticized GOP "minority candidates" such as Nikki Haley and Tim Scott for not having a plan to address generational poverty, encouraging voters to be skeptical of their calls for unity. Haley responded by accusing Obama of setting minorities back by portraying them as victims rather than empowering them to take responsibility for their success. Similarly, Scott criticized Obama for not taking action to heal race relations during his presidency.
Daily Wire: Iowa Supreme Court Upholds Ruling Blocking 6-Week Abortion Ban
Iowa's six-week abortion ban remains blocked as the state's Supreme Court has upheld a lower court ruling. Republican Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds expressed disappointment at the decision and claimed it disregarded Iowa voters who support the rights of unborn children. The heartbeat bill was signed by Reynolds in 2018, before Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization overruled Roe v. Wade.
Daily Wire: Sen. Mike Lee Warns Matt Walsh Revelations Could Prove ‘Devastating’ To Fox
Sen. Mike Lee warns that Fox News' parent company's advocacy of radical gender theory could be "devastating" to the news network, as it could alienate its conservative viewer base. Fox Corp.'s annual "Pride" month campaign includes the recommendation of sexually explicit literature to employees, with the company using artificial intelligence to monitor workers' commitments to woke principles of inclusion and diversity. Lee warns that turning on its loyal audience could lead to the loss of viewers that will not return, and that there are no other large conservative news outlets.
The Federalist: What We Know About The Biden Bribery Scheme From FBI Doc
Iowa Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley and House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer of Kentucky subpoenaed the FBI for an unclassified document, FD-1023, alleging a bribery scheme between President Joe Biden and a "foreign national." The document suggests Biden took a foreign bribe during his time as Vice President in the Obama administration. The confidential human source is highly credible and has collaborated with the FBI since the Obama administration. The source claimed that Mykola Zlochevsky, the founder of Burisma, bribed "the Big Guy" (Biden) $5 million and $5 million to Hunter Biden, coercing the foreign businessman to pay the multimillion-dollar bribes. There are allegedly 15 audio recordings of phone calls between Mykola and Hunter Biden and two with Joe Biden.
The American Mind: Their Democracy
The National Endowment for Democracy (NED) has become more partisan since the 2016 election, risking its mission and integrity. Despite being a bipartisan institution, it has engaged in openly partisan advocacy against Trump and Republicans. This includes violating its supposed neutrality, as well as publishing books and journals that attack the Republican Party.
PJ Media: Some GOP Presidential Candidates Worry About Pledge to Back a 'Potential Felon' in Order to Participate in Debates
The Republican National Committee requires presidential candidates to sign a "loyalty pledge" to support the eventual winner of the primaries. Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchison complains that he didn't want to support a "convicted felon" for president, to which the RNC responded by telling him to leave. Other declared candidates have not requested amendment to the pledge. Christie's hollow pledge to support the nominee echos Trump’s refusal to do the same.

Fox News: Parents' rights groups slam WH over topless trans activists at Pride event: 'I agree with Gov. DeSantis'
Parents' rights groups support Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis after two topless transgender activists were at a White House gay pride event. DeSantis questioned why that kind of curriculum would be "jammed into a second-grader's classroom?" in reference to a parental rights bill signed into law in Florida that prohibits instruction on sexual orientation or gender identity before third grade. The White House agreed the activists were "inappropriate and disrespectful" and will not be invited back. Parents' rights groups argued that such material is not age-appropriate for students and have been reading sexually explicit books from their child’s school library out loud at school board meetings.

Breitbart: Experts: Biden's Gamble on Russian Nukes Leaves 'New York Vulnerable'
The Biden administration is shifting its strategy to deter Russian nuclear attacks in Ukraine through the promise of non-nuclear strikes, experts say. This change is a departure from the traditional nuke-for-nuke approach that has been the basis for nuclear deterrence for 70 years. Russia refuses to believe this new threat is credible and thus feels more emboldened to use its nuclear arsenal. The United States is also investing in hypersonic missiles and cutting-edge non-nuclear capabilities. Analysts warn that a regional crisis might escalate to a conflict involving nuclear weapons, highlighting the threat of nuclear war between Russia and the West.

Breitbart: Report: Chinese Hackers ‘Breached Hundreds of Public, Private Networks’ Globally
Cybersecurity firm Mandiant revealed a major cyber-espionage campaign carried out by China that exploited a vulnerability in the Barracuda Email Security Gateway software. The espionage campaign, conducted by the UNC4841 hacking group, relied on a zero-day vulnerability in the email program to infiltrate computer systems. Over half of the targets of the campaign were located in the Americas, with almost a third being government agencies, and included foreign trade offices, academic research organisations, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
The Epoch Times: Tory MP Introduces Bill to Enhance Canada-Taiwan Ties
Canada's Conservative MP Michael Cooper has introduced the private member's bill C-343 to enhance Canada's ties with Taiwan, its 11th most significant trade partner and a manufacturer of high-tech products. The bill aims to recognise Taiwan as a de facto sovereign entity. The current representative offices would be renamed to reflect more formal diplomatic relations, ushering in possibilities for Taiwan's more meaningful participation in international organisations and trade agreements, and a boost in exports of various commodities. Canada has seen a steady increase in its solidarity with Taiwan lately, strengthened by Beijing's intensified military and economic coercion against the island nation.
Breitbart: Reports: U.S., Iran Near Verbal 'Mini-deal' that Israel May 'Live With'
The U.S. and Iran are reportedly nearing a verbal agreement on Iran's nuclear program brokered by Oman. Israel is reportedly aware of the deal and may be able to accept it, but Israeli opposition parties are already criticizing Netanyahu for not being able to influence the Biden administration.

Forbes: How Nike Learned A Wholesale Lesson
Nike is returning to Macy’s after a year-long split, as the sportswear and apparel brand recognises the lack of success from direct-to-consumer (DTC) sales. This came after Macy's chairman and CEO Jeff Gennette announced that the brand is incredibly important to their customers, leading to additional plans to expand the retail range over the next few years. CEO of HeadCount Corporation, Mark Ryski, believes Nike is reconsidering its strategy now because DTC wasn't providing the expected business outcomes.
Daily Wire: Biden’s America: Majority Of Americans Expect To Work In Retirement, Poll Finds
More than half of Americans (57%) plan to work during retirement, with 43% expecting to work part-time and 14% expecting to work full-time, according to a new poll from Retire Guide. The pollsters suggest expectations to work increase as Americans approach retirement age. Many older Americans are being forced to "unretire" due to skyrocketing healthcare costs, the rising cost of living, deteriorating financial positions due to massive stock market losses in 2022, and inflation-driven affordability crises, along with Federal Reserve interest rate hikes meant to combat inflation that have driven housing costs higher. An AARP survey found that more than a third of people 65 and older said their current financial situation at midyear was worse than a year before.

Red State: After Bud Light Tumbles out of Number 1 Spot, CEO Finally Forced to Speak to Customers
Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth finally directly addressed the customers after the company's endorsement of trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney's “365 Days of Being a Girl” triggered a boycott, forcing Bud Light out of the “number one beer in America” spot. Sales dropped by 34.4% for the week ending June 3, and distributors expect the boycott to persist. A separate survey by Goldman Sachs showed most respondents do not believe Bud Light will make a “full recovery” in its “brand equity and market share.” Whitworth announced “three important actions” to move the company forward, including investing to protect frontline employees and providing financial assistance to independent wholesalers to help them support their employees to help regain consumers' trust.
Spectator USA: The surreal life of Leonora Carrington
Leonora Carrington, born in Lancashire, England in 1917, lived in Paris, Spain, Portugal, Mexico and New York and only died in 2011. She was the “last living Surrealist”, an accolade which only began to bring her more attention in the latter part of her life. In the years since her death, however, her fame has skyrocketed, from an all-but forgotten participant in one of art’s most confusing movements to inclusion in institutional art galleries, major exhibitions and solo retrospectives. She is the subject of endless books and biographies; this summer alone, there is Joanna Moorhead’s Surreal Spaces and the graphic novel Armed with Madness by Mary M. and Bryan Talbot. Carrington’s life story is the focus of the latest two books, but there’s much more to be gained by getting lost in her paintings.

Fox News: Bryson DeChambeau says there's 'not as much tension' between PGA Tour, LIV players following merger
Bryson DeChambeau shot a 67 in his opening round at the U.S. Open, leaving him five shots behind record-setters Rickie Fowler and Xander Schauffele. This Open is the first major since LIV Golf attracted top players with lavish payouts, but last week's seismic move put golf in flux once again. DeChambeau senses that the us-against-them mentality that arose from the LIV defections is not so prevalent anymore.
Despite the uncertainty over golf’s future, DeChambeau is enjoying every chance to play in big events against the best. Opinions vary on whether LIV's pseudo-outlaw status plays a motivational role. Dustin Johnson says LIV will stage events as planned in 2024. DeChambeau feels like he’s very close to returning to his 2018 form and is preparing differently for major championships.
Newsbusters: MLB Apparently Not Diverse Enough For Progressives
MLB receives a B grade from the Institute for Diversity and Ethics in Sport for racial hiring practices. The group claims that there aren’t enough black people in the league despite 40.2% of all players in the MLB being people of colour. Lapchick, one of the report’s authors, pointed out that only 6.2% of players in the MLB are black, down from 7.1% in 2022. He sees this as a “glaring issue” along with the small number of black people in positions of power within MLB organisations. However, he doesn’t explain why the numbers are a bad thing nor propose any benchmark for change.

The evacuation will continue and they have said residents will be able to return depending on the risk level.

The Epoch Times: Federal Government Tells Automakers to Not Comply With Massachusetts Automotive Law
The NHTSA has stated that Massachusetts' right to repair law conflicts with federal car safety legislation, potentially ending the state's automotive law enacted in 2020. The legislation required car manufacturers to provide telematic information to consumers and independent repair shops, providing access to sensitive vehicle information to millions of cars. The NHTSA argues this could pose significant safety concerns and could be exploited by criminal hackers to manipulate important vehicle operations such as steering, acceleration, and airbags.

Spectator USA: Taylor Lorenz was right all along
Over half of TikTok and Snapchat users, and over half of Instagram users, get their news from "personalities" rather than mainstream media outlets or journalists, according to a new report by the Reuters Institute at the University of Oxford. Content creators are the new media, which is becoming increasingly clear as people trust other people rather than institutions, said Washington Post columnist Taylor Lorenz. However, the shift to influencers as the main source of news could make information less reliable, leading to the public turning to them, rather than trusted news sites.
Spotify and Archewell Audio have decided to "mutually part ways", ending a production deal after only one series, Archetypes, was produced. The season aimed to "investigate the labels that try to hold women back" and followed the Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's departure from the UK's royal family. Vivek Ramaswamy, who opposes Donald Trump for the Republican nomination, encouraged all candidates to sign a pledge to pardon the former president if elected. Rumours that Ramaswamy would drop out emerged ahead of Trump's Tuesday arraignment in Miami, with some speculating he would endorse the former president instead.
