Human Events: ERIN FRIDAY: California Senate weighs bill to give mental health
officials ability to remove 12-year-olds from families with no
history of abuse or neglect
Assembly Bill 665, co-authored by Assemblywoman Wendy Carrillo and Senator Scott Wiener, allows children as young as 12 to consent to mental health counseling or residential shelter placement without parental consent, removing emergency circumstances needed for placement. Critics argue that the bill is a state-sanctioned kidnapping bill, intended to strip children away from their families and give mental health providers too much authority over children. Parents fear that the bill will allow mental health providers to convince their children to prefer a “chosen” family over their biological one and force gender transitions. Wiener has been criticized for his legislative efforts to turn California into a cesspool of sex trafficking and drug use while decimating parental rights.

She promises to obtain the audio recording of the discussion with a journalist referred to in Smith's indictment. Habba praises Trump for using the legal system to defend himself and the constitutional prerogatives of the presidency, studying and reading about the law regarding his cases. She refers to Special Counsel Smith as a "Democrat activist."

Kentucky Republican Party spokesman Sean Southard accused Beshear of misconstruing the data or intentionally misleading the public.

US Attorney General Merrick Garland discussed the DOJ's investigation into alleged racism and excessive force by Minneapolis Police Department pre-George Floyd's death but failed to mention the races of the white woman killed by a minority officer. Garland cited the 2017 death of Justine Ruszczyk as an example of MPD officers using firearms against people without assessing whether they posed a threat. However, he failed to note that she was white, and the officer who killed her, Mohamed Noor, was a person of color.

A San Francisco Chronicle column linked frustration with cyclists to racism, sexism, homophobia, and transphobia. The article, written by University of California professor Ruth Malone, discussed the aggression faced by cyclists and compared it to online attacks against marginalized groups. Fox News: Japan raises age of consent from 13 to 16
Japan has raised the age of sexual consent from 13 to 16 years old, making sexual intercourse with someone below 16 considered rape. The new changes, which were enacted as part of a revamping of laws related to sex crimes, also specify eight scenarios of "consentless sex crimes," a new term given for forced sexual intercourse. The new law on LGBTQ+ issues, which was passed separately, was criticized by activists for not guaranteeing equal rights for sexual minorities. Japan is the only member of the G7 leading industrialized nations without LGBTQ+ legal protections.
The Federalist: Library Book Tells Kids They'll Be Depressed If They're Not Trans
A children's book called Tabitha and Magoo Dress Up Too, written by Michelle Tea, is promoting transgenderism to kids. The book features an array of illustrations, including boys wearing dresses and girls wearing male sports apparel. Drag queen Morgana is depicted in the book, saying, “Like Mama Ru said, we all are born nude. All our clothing is drag—every dress, tie, and snood. Now, I know that some people make ridiculous rules, but you’ll learn to defy them, and I’ll give you some tools!” Parents are worried about the book's message, with one noting that the book is pushing children to "defy" the "ridiculous rules" of gender norms, which may cause "depression".

PJ Media: Biden Regime’s Strategy to Combat Antisemitism Appoints Fox to Guard Henhouse
Deborah Lipstadt, the Biden regime's Special Envoy for Monitoring and Combating Antisemitism, launched the Combating Antisemitism Strategy, which includes the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). The fact that CAIR is involved is problematic since they haven't denounced terrorist groups like Hamas and Hizballah. Lipstadt claimed that CAIR's involvement was peripheral but insists that they will be called to account and evaluated going forward. The presence of CAIR in the strategy is concerning since it could become a new means to pressure and harass Israel as the putative cause of antisemitism.

Breitbart: Welcome to Transhumanist Hell: Scientists Create 'Synthetic Human Embryo'
Scientists have used stem cells to create what they call a "synthetic human embryo" for research purposes. Despite not containing a beating heart or brain, the embryos include cells that typically go on to form the placenta, yolk sac and the embryo itself. UK laws prevent synthetic embryos from being implanted into a human womb but researchers say the proto-embryos could provide valuable knowledge for regenerative medicine and genetic disorders. Although the embryos were referred to as "synthetic," they were derived from living stem cells that originate from an embryo.
