Dr. David Tarantino, chief medical officer for U.S. Customs and Border Protection, has been reassigned following the death of an 8-year-old girl, Anadith Tanay Reyes Alvarez, who was in custody at a Border Patrol station in Harlingen, Texas. The girl's mother pleaded for medical attention due to her daughter's chronic heart disease and rare blood disorder, but her requests were ignored. The nurse practitioner on duty reported denying several requests from the mother for an ambulance. The CBP has stated that they are implementing improvements to their medical care policies and processes.

Red State: Media Ignorance Strikes Again as Reporter Claims Neil Gorsuch Is Just Like 'Woke' Historians
Media Ignorance Strikes Again as Reporter Claims Neil Gorsuch Is Just Like 'Woke' Historians
Conservative Justice Gorsuch is misunderstood by NBC News and left-wing media who misinterpret his views on "woke" history and historical injustices. While Gorsuch may hold conservative values, his recent opinions show support for Native Americans and recognition of historical facts that acknowledge past abuses towards Native Americans. The left's assumption that conservatives are unified in legal mind is wrong; originalist Justice Gorsuch may sometimes vote with the liberal justices.

Fox News: James Carville calls Vivek Ramaswamy's vow to pardon Trump the 'smartest strategy'
James Carville calls Vivek Ramaswamy's vow to pardon Trump the 'smartest strategy'
Democratic strategist James Carville praises 2024 Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy for vowing to pardon Donald Trump if elected, calling it the "smartest strategy" among competitors. Carville claims candidates without the same pledge, including former Vice President Mike Pence, former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, are "circling buzzards" waiting to take down Trump. Ramaswamy challenged fellow candidates to sign a pledge to pardon Trump, saying the Biden administration's charges against the former president are political. Meanwhile, Carville warns anti-Trump Republican opponents like Asa Hutchinson and Chris Christie not to appear unsupportive as the ex-president remains a significant figure in the party.

U.S. Intelligence Agencies Are Buying Americans’ Personal Data From Private Companies
U.S. government agencies are purchasing vast amounts of commercially available information (CAI) on millions of American citizens from private data collection firms, according to a recently-released report. Such firms have the same capabilities as federal agencies for surveillance techniques to carry out for commercial use. FBI Director Christopher Wray had admitted to purchasing precise geolocation data from mobile phone services for warrantless tracking in March. The U.S. intelligence community had long been restricted on paper but breaking rules has been rising since 2001.

Judge Cannon orders attorneys in Trump's legal battle with the DOJ to obtain security clearances due to the sensitive nature of the case. The attorneys have until Tuesday to comply with the order.

The Epoch Times: There Is No ‘Moving On’ From Corruption
There Is No ‘Moving On’ From Corruption
Some Republicans desire to "move on" from Donald Trump but it may be due to American voters' tendency to avoid recognizing political corruption. Despite allegations against Joe Biden such as mishandling classified documents and meddling with Ukrainian politics, there has been no legal action taken against him. This follows a pattern of government corruption in recent years including the IRS improperly holding up conservative nonprofit tax-exempt status, and the FBI covering up evidence of bribery within the government. Dismissing corruption enables the corrupt to continue their actions and ultimately destroy what citizens hold dear.

Fox News: Iowa high court refuses to unblock state's strict abortion ban
Iowa high court refuses to unblock state's strict abortion ban
Iowa's high court upholds 2019 ruling to block a strict ban on most abortions, preventing Iowa from joining other states with limited access to abortions. The law bans abortions once cardiac activity can be detected, usually around six weeks of pregnancy but the court's decision does not prevent lawmakers from passing a new law that looks the same. Reynolds signed the law in 2018 despite state and federal court decisions affirming a woman’s constitutional right to abortion.

Westchester County DA Ends Investigation Into Trump Golf Course
Former President Trump has been cleared of criminal charges by Westerchester District Attorney Mimi Rocah in a two-year-long investigation into allegations that he undervalued the Trump National Golf Club for tax purposes. Trump slammed the investigation as a "witch hunt", and said he did nothing wrong. Meanwhile, Trump is still set to face a civil lawsuit in October, as well as a Department of Justice prosecution over his alleged mishandling of classified documents. Despite his ongoing legal troubles, Trump remains popular among GOP voters, according to a National Research survey commissioned by American Greatness.

The Epoch Times: How Censorship Does and Does Not Work
How Censorship Does and Does Not Work
Despotism is unfolding before our eyes as the government tries to silence dissent. Censorship has become aggressive, with government controlling 95% or more of the main ways that people get information, while technologies make thoughts disappear. The game of curating the public mind involves amplification and minimization, and censorship seems arbitrary to make people fear and comply through self-censorship. This is putting the rest of our freedoms in grave jeopardy.

Instagram was found to host a vast trove of child pornography on its site, with algorithms promoting it, connecting pedophiles and guiding them to content sellers. Instagram is owned by Meta, which also owns Facebook and is run by Mark Zuckerberg, who is in charge of administering social media during lockdowns. Despite violating the terms of use and federal law, this heinous content has not made headlines. The censorship itself is being censored, and this is how authoritarian governments work. We need to speak without fear to protect our freedom.

The Epoch Times: Expert Calls for South Korea to Strengthen Intellectual Property Protection Against China Theft
Expert Calls for South Korea to Strengthen Intellectual Property Protection Against China Theft
Chinese researcher, Mr. A, is charged with stealing 10,000 files of advanced medical robot technology over the five years he worked at a Seoul-based research institute. He reportedly leaked the data to China, with some files valued at over $4 billion. Mr. A was allegedly part of the Thousand Talents Plan, a Chinese talent acquisition program widely criticized as a front for industrial espionage, and received subsidies from Beijing. South Korea has experienced frequent technology leakages, with an average of 1.6 leaks per month, mainly from critical industries such as semiconductors, rechargeable batteries, and autonomous vehicles. According to experts, China is the country South Korea should be most wary of regarding leaks.

The New American: Brazil Lectures EU During Trade Discussions - The New American
Brazil Lectures EU During Trade Discussions - The New American
Brazilian President Lula expressed concerns about environmental obligations proposed by the EU as part of its expected EU-Mercosur trade deal during a meeting with EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. He stated that coercive measures do not work well beyond the boundaries of Europe, and that strategic partners should rely on mutual confidence rather than mistrust or sanctions. The EU negotiators have recently suggested an additional sustainability and environmental protection document to chiefly halt deforestation efforts in the Amazon, which has not yet been officially responded to by the Mercosur bloc. Lula's remarks indicated South American countries may be hesitant about receiving lectures from the EU on managing their forests.

Despite Lula's reservations, von der Leyen stated that they both believed it was time to conclude the EU-Mercosur agreement and expressed hope that it would be completed by the end of the year. Talks over the deal started in 2000 and ended in 2019 but the EU has been hesitant to sign the agreement due to concerns over deforestation, a potential glut of Latin American produce affecting European farmers, and the tariff-free import quota for beef, which could challenge the EU's agricultural sector. European lawmakers welcomed Lula's election victory but also criticized his controversial comments about NATO weapons shipments to Ukraine. Obtaining the deal would be important for the EU's diplomatic relations with priority countries, particularly considering China's ongoing clout in the region.

The Blaze: CNN bends over backward to blame Bud Light's downfall on anything but the boycott — even suggests Cinco de Mayo
CNN bends over backward to blame Bud Light's downfall on anything but the boycott — even suggests Cinco de Mayo
Bud Light's downfall as America's best-selling beer started with its partnership with transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney went public. Modelo Especial replaced Bud Light as the top-selling beer in the US. Bud Light's sales went down and CNN attempted to connect Modelo's rise with "changing tastes" and Cinco de Mayo. However, CNN business correspondent Christine Romans downplayed Mulvaney's controversy and blamed Bud Light's downfall on long-term market trends.

Bud Light Maker CEO Responds to Boycott in New Statement: 'We Hear You'
Anheuser-Busch’s U.S. division, the company that manufactures Bud Light, has announced actions to move forward after a weeks-long boycott due to a promotional can with a transgender activist’s face on it caused the beer’s sales to drop significantly. CEO Brendan Whitworth confirmed the company is investing to protect jobs, providing aid to wholesalers, and changing its advertisement strategy. Recently, the sales of Bud Light hit a slump after conservative influencers and musicians distanced themselves from the brand, promoting its rival, Modelo Especial which had growth of 12.2% in the four-week period. There are concerns Modelo could surpass Bud Light as the best-selling beer in the U.S, but there is a long way to go, according to Bump Williams Consulting.

The Federalist Papers: Sports Station Blocks Marco Rubio's Pro-Christian Ad from Being Played: 'Tells You Everything You Need to Know'
Sports Station Blocks Marco Rubio's Pro-Christian Ad from Being Played: 'Tells You Everything You Need to Know'
Senator Marco Rubio's efforts to expose anti-Christian bigotry have been met with resistance as a sports network rejects his advertisement against a group of drag queens known for mocking Catholic nuns called "Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence." Rubio is calling out the Dodgers and Major League Baseball for promoting intolerance and hatred of Christianity by honoring the group at their Pride Night event. Spectrum SportsNet LA, the station set to broadcast the Dodgers game, has refused to air the advertisement, demonstrating a disturbing tolerance for anti-Christian sentiment in society.

Despite the importance of exposing this anti-Christian bigotry, the media's bias has silenced those who dare to call out this kind of mockery of Christianity. It is disheartening to witness a prominent sports team representing one of America's largest cities bestowing an award upon a group that openly mocks and desecrates the fundamental principles of the Christian faith. The refusal to broadcast the ad has little to do with genuine tolerance and everything to do with ridiculing Christians for upholding biblical truths concerning marriage, gender, and family. Rubio called upon Christians of all denominations to unite in prayer for reparation and national healing as our culture faces increasing challenges to religious liberty and the foundations of faith.

The Epoch Times: Patients to Get Jabbed Again After Storage Uncertainty Compromises Vaccines
Patients to Get Jabbed Again After Storage Uncertainty Compromises Vaccines
Dodges Ferry Medical Clinic in Tasmania failed to document whether it stored more than 20 years’ worth of vaccines at the correct temperature, leading to concerns that 1,948 people who received vaccinations may not have been effectively immunized. The clinic had no written evidence between 2003 and 2023 that vaccines were being stored in accordance with national guidelines, meaning they may not have been stored at the appropriate temperatures to remain effective. While officials have urged those who received vaccines at the clinic to discuss revaccination with their doctors, they have emphasized that there is no risk of harm to those who received the original vaccinations.

Fox News: Obese children turning to weight loss drugs, body-altering surgery despite risks
Obese children turning to weight loss drugs, body-altering surgery despite risks
Young teens are turning to body-altering surgeries and new drugs like Wegovy to lose weight and improve their health. These options are often considered necessary after years of ineffective diet and exercise programs, especially as excess weight in adolescence carries into adulthood, causing a variety of health problems. While critics of obesity drugs and surgery argue that they perpetuate harmful stigma, medical experts treating severe childhood obesity emphasize that non-drug options are not enough to combat the biologically driven disease. In the US, fewer than 1% of children who qualify for metabolic surgery receive the procedure, often due to limited access or prohibitive costs.

Fox News: Media continue to tout doctors defending transgender treatments for children in CBS interview
Media continue to tout doctors defending transgender treatments for children in CBS interview
The new head of the American Medical Association, Dr. Jesse Ehrenfeld, opposes laws banning minors from transgender treatments, seeing them as unethical and unscientific. He accused state bans on abortion and transgender treatments for minors as "criminalizing health care." Ehrenfeld stated that lawmakers are "telling physicians how to practice medicine" and "putting barriers [up] to care." He believes that these bans were "deeply damaging" to health care and feared being jailed for providing ethical and scientific medical care to patients because of these bans. Opposing voices were not presented in the CBS News segment.
