Red State: Former Asst. U.S. Attorney Takes Apart Trump Case and Raises Some Important Questions
Former Assistant U.S. Attorney Will Scharf believes that the indictment and case against former President Trump is shocking and outrageous. Scharf makes six key points on the case, including the interplay between the Espionage Act and the Presidential Records Act, and how just because something is classified, it doesn't necessarily make it National Defense Information under the Espionage Act . He also notes that the prosecution will have a hard time proving Trump's intent and knowledge of wrongdoing and wonders why Special Counsel Jack Smith, who had a history of overzealous prosecution, was chosen to handle such a controversial case .

Breitbart: China Holds ‘Human Rights Forum’ While Conducting Genocide
China hosted a human rights forum and praised their own achievements despite practicing slavery and genocide against minorities. UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Veronica Birga, attended and expressed appreciation for China hosting the event. The Chinese officials at the forum denied criticism of violations and claimed Western countries neglected their own human rights issues while trying to contain developing countries. The true audience for the forum was the host of developing nations China is luring into its orbit. China is promoting an alternative human rights framework called "normfare" that is conducive to autocratic rule and is inimical to outside advocacy.

Fox News: Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signs bill setting restrictions on transgender athletes in college sports
Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed into law a measure that would prohibit transgender women from participating in women's collegiate sports teams. The "Save Women’s Sports Act" mandates that intercollegiate athletes must compete on teams based on their biological sex rather than their gender identity. The law becomes effective on or after September 1, 2023, and it also enables Texas college students to sue their schools if transgender athletes breach the law. The NCAA, which had previously allowed transgender women to participate in female sports teams, established a new policy that eyes participation differently by sport after Lia Thomas, a transgender woman, won an NCAA national championship in swimming. Texas is the 22nd state to pass a law to prevent transgender athletes from participating in sports.

National Review: McCaul Says Biden’s Attempt to Bypass Congress in Informal Iran Talks Is ‘Deeply Disturbing’
House Foreign Affairs Chairman Michael McCaul warned President Biden that informal talks with Iran call into question the administration's intent to follow the law and submit any agreement with Iran to Congress. McCaul argued that even an unofficial deal would constitute a "reckless less-for-less arrangement." He warned that Iran continues to engage in malign activities, including attacking U.S. troops, threatening the global economy, and fueling the Russian invasion of Ukraine by providing weapons. McCaul also asserted that any agreement, formal or informal, that merely caps, rather than completely ends, Iran's nuclear program, represents a dangerous undermining of global nonproliferation norms.
Breitbart: Mobs Kill at Least 9, Burn Down Christian Homes in Northern India as Biden Prepares for Modi Visit
A campaign to eradicate smaller Christian tribes by Majority-Hindu Meitei tribe has resulted in deadly violence in Manipur, Northern India, for two months. The requests by Meitei community to put a “Scheduled Tribe” label, which would add government privileges and elevate their status, is blamed for the latest outbreak of violence by Christian groups, and tensions in the region have existed for years. Christian aid organizations have documented Meitei mob violence against Christians as going largely unpunished, even when mob attackers irrefutably record their crimes and post them online. The Modi government has ignored the violence, with some accusing it of encouraging Meitei Hindu violence against Christian cohorts through a lack of action and support for attackers.

He also commented on the slowdown in peace talks in the region since former President Donald Trump left office and the Biden administration tried to undo his legacy.

Tesla Inc experienced a 67.5% decline from its high on September 21, 2022, to its low on January 6, 2023, but has since gained 156% in a bull market. The company is expected to see an additional upside signal when a golden cross is confirmed, which will occur when the 50-day simple moving average moves above the 200-day simple moving average. Despite an elevated P/E ratio at 76.09%, Tesla's weekly chart has been positive since May 19, 2023, and it is recommended to buy on weakness to its annual pivot at $192.93.
Tesla Inc almost had a golden cross on September 30, 2022, but due to the 50-day simple moving average staying below the 200-day simple moving average, it did not occur, leading to a 67.5% decline from its September high to its January low. However, since January, Tesla has gained 156% in a bull market and is expected to see another upside signal with the confirmation of a golden cross. At present, Tesla is advised to be bought on weakness to its annual pivot at $192.93 and holdings should be reduced on strength to its quarterly risky level at $271.66.

Biden calls these changes "a win for consumers," but there is still work to be done to eliminate hidden fees in all industries. The Department of Transportation has also proposed a rule to force airlines to disclose all their fees upfront. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce criticized these efforts as "government control."
