The Epoch Times: Florida Law Invalidating Diver's Licenses for Out-of-State Illegal Immigrants Gets Mixed Reviews
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed Senate Bill 1718 into law, which forbids local government agencies from issuing identification cards to illegal immigrants and invalidates driver’s licenses issued to illegal aliens in other states. The new law establishes that any illegal immigrant who knowingly uses a fake ID document to gain employment will face a third-degree felony. It also tasks FLHSMV with the responsibility of maintaining a list of out-of-state licenses that would be considered “invalid” on its website.
The new Florida law was passed as a means of protecting the state and its citizens from the costly and sometimes dangerous effects of illegal immigration the Florida legislators believe have been exacerbated by the Biden administration’s weak border policies. SB 1718 makes the use of E-Verify a mandatory measure for employers and establishes enforceable penalties for employers who hire illegal immigrants. They are also issuing citations for driving without a license, which is a second-degree misdemeanor in Florida.
Daily Wire: Migrant Smugglers Advertise On TikTok And YouTube: Report
Migrant smugglers use TikTok and YouTube to advertise their illegal services, with one smuggler quoted as charging $10,500 to smuggle a Mexican person over the border. Drug cartels make about $13 billion per year through human smuggling. President Biden's policies, including halting construction of the border wall and scaling back deportations, are said to encourage migrants to try their luck entering illegally and offer smugglers with dangerous practices an opportunity to take advantage.
Fox News: Democrat bill gives immigrants instant access to federal benefits, ends ‘xenophobic’ 5-year wait
House and Senate Democrats introduced a bill to eliminate the five-year waiting period for immigrants to access federal benefits. This bill would allow immigrants to have immediate access to federal benefits such as Medicaid and food stamps. Democrats believe that the waiting period is arbitrary and creates unnecessary barriers for immigrants accessing critical services. The bill is called the LIFT the BAR Act and is sponsored by Representatives Pramila Jayapal and Tony Cardenas and Senator Mazie Hirono. Critics argue that this bill would further encourage illegal immigration and increase the strain on federal resources.

Human Events: BREAKING: Fox News denied Trump’s request to call in during 8 pm
hour after arraignment: source

Sources say Fox will only allow pre-taped interviews, shunning the former POTUS. Trump was arraigned on Tuesday on charges including false statements, willful retention of national defense information, and conspiracy to obstruct justice. He pled not guilty to all 37 counts and raised over $7 million in one day following the indictment. Trump has a long-standing relationship with Fox News host Sean Hannity.
Red State: The Attacks on Republicans Who Voted Against the Schiff Censure Are Short-Sighted and Dumb
A censure resolution aimed at Adam Schiff failed due to 26 Republicans either voting no, present, or not voting at all- leading to accusations that the Republicans who voted against the measure were “traitors” and “RINOs.” However, it turns out that many Republicans voted against it for legitimate reasons. Rep. Thomas Massie believed the resolution was unconstitutional and a violation of the 27th and 8th amendments, while Rep. Kevin Kiley is another conservative who had legitimate reasons for voting no. Instead of chasing clout online, Republicans should get together with those who have concerns to ensure what’s brought to floor passes.

The video has gone viral on social media, drawing backlash from many who view it as intolerant and hateful.
The Federalist Papers: Donald Trump Finally Scores a Major Victory

Daily Wire: Biden Snaps At Reporter Who Asks Him About Alleged Bribery Scandal
President Biden reacted aggressively to a reporter's question about his alleged involvement in a Ukrainian bribery scheme during his time as Vice President. The reporter asked why he was referred to as the "Big Guy" in an FBI confidential human source's report. The allegation is that Biden and his son Hunter were potentially paid up to $5 million each in bribe money from an executive at the Ukrainian gas company Burisma. The confidential human source has been consistently reviewed by the FBI and has been found to be highly credible. Biden is accused of pressuring the Ukrainian President to replace a prosecutor investigating Burisma while he was Vice President.

Daily Wire: Fox Corp. Encourages Employees To Support Radical LGBTQ Organizations, Uses ‘Woke AI’ To Track Commitment To DEI, Matt Walsh Reveals
Internal documents obtained by conservative commentator Matt Walsh reveal that Fox Corp. is promoting radical LGBTQ organizations and using "woke AI" to track employee commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) principles. The documents show that Fox encourages employees to read explicit LGBTQ books, support groups like the Trevor Project and the Ali Forney Center, and engage in activities that promote DEI. The media company also praised the Los Angeles LGBT Center, which posted a video of a mother surprising her trans daughter with their first doses of hormones. These revelations have sparked concerns about Fox's embrace of leftist ideas and its commitment to conservative values.
The Blaze: Belgian man faked his own death, then showed up at his funeral in helicopter to teach family a 'life lesson'

David Baerten said he wanted to give his family a life lesson and show them that you shouldn't wait until someone is dead to meet up with them. Only half of his family came to the funeral, and Baerten claimed that those who didn't come contacted him to meet up, proving who really cared about him.
National Review: Tribal Nationalism in Adoption Wins at the Supreme Court
The US Supreme Court has upheld a congressional statute that gives priority to Native American parents in the adoption of Native American children in Haaland v. Brackeen. The decision has highlighted the issue of nationalism and how it conflicts with America’s creed that sees all citizens as equal regardless of race. Three liberal Supreme Court justices, as well as Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Brett Kavanaugh, sided with the law. Justice Amy Coney Barrett wrote the decision, which was also joined by Justice Neil Gorsuch. The ruling upholds the provisions of the Indian Child Welfare Act, which requires that Native American children should be adopted by Native American parents.
The Epoch Times: President Trump, Bud Light, Target, and the LA Dodgers
The negative reactions to President Trump's indictment are due to a cultural civil war waged by a potentially dictatorial elite minority. Americans reject coercive wokeness and the elite minority wants to coerce the country into positions they would not reach voluntarily. With 89% of Americans supporting parental rights over brainwashing education and 91% favoring Martin Luther King Jr.'s assertion, the elite minority seeks to maximize government dependence and transgresses freedom of beliefs.

The Epoch Times: Chinese Hackers Breached Hundreds of Public and Private Networks, Investigation Concludes
Chinese state-backed hackers exploited a vulnerability in Barracuda Networks’ Email Security Gateway to gain access to the networks of numerous public and private sector organisations. A third of the total were government agencies, amongst them foreign ministries and cyber security firm Mandiant claimed this is the most far-reaching cyber-espionage to have been conducted by a China-related threat since the mass exploitation of Microsoft Exchange in early 2021. Barracuda discovered the intrusion in May 2023, but the hacking had begun on October 10, 2022. Its subsequent investigation, alongside multiple intelligence agencies and governments, concluded that the attackers, who sought political and strategic information of interest to the Chinese authorities, were a highly-skilled and aggressive hacking team.

The Republican senators reminded Biden that redactions are only allowed to protect intelligence sources and methods, and are seeking the greatest degree of transparency possible.

National Review: The Corner: Bastiat-Posting
Two articles explore the "seen" and "unseen" effects of economic policies. Economist Scott Lincicome explains that good economic analysis takes into account the immediate and successive effects of an action, habit, institution or law, and considers whether money could have been better spent elsewhere. Meanwhile, Josh Hendrickson argues that consumers are capable of evaluating the stability of banks without government deposit insurance, and that specialist middlemen can provide necessary information. Both articles emphasize the importance of considering the "unseen" effects of policies in economic analysis.

Fox News: MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred says teams should have option to have Pride Night instead of league-wide event
MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred says it's the best practice to leave it to individual teams to decide whether to have a Pride Night or not. Some teams have already held their own Pride Night events in observance of June as Pride Month. Controversy has surrounded the Los Angeles Dodgers' event after re-inviting satirical protest group Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, known for their anti-Catholic public showings. Despite some opposing views, many big leaguers have shown support for LGBTQ+ inclusivity and celebrated Pride Month on social media. Other professional sports leagues also have their own events to celebrate LGBTQ+ inclusivity, but there are also those who oppose the events and what they represent.

The Epoch Times: EXCLUSIVE: Military's COVID Vaccine Mandate Violated Charter Rights, Grievance Review Committee Finds
A military administrative tribunal has found that the Canadian Armed Forces’ (CAF) vaccine mandate for COVID-19 violated the charter rights of members who refused vaccination. The committee concluded that the CAF vaccination policy was “arbitrary” in some aspects and “overly broad.” The grievance reviewed by the committee was filed by a soldier with the rank of master corporal in February 2022, and the review began in May of that year. The CAF vaccine mandate was lightened in October 2022 by removing COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of service but kept in place a mandatory primary series of injections for numerous operational roles.
Fox News: Drinking alcohol weekly could be connected to 61 different diseases, study finds
Alcohol use has been linked to 61 diseases, including gout, cataracts, and ulcers. Drinking regularly was believed to have health benefits, but the new study indicates that is not the case. Higher amounts of consumption were linked to higher risks of disease and hospitalization. The study did not differentiate between light or moderate drinking and heavy drinking, but did show that each additional four drinks per day increased the risk of alcohol-related diseases by 14%. The study used data from over 512,000 participants from China. Alcohol causes more than 140,000 deaths each year in the United States and three million worldwide, according to the World Health Organization.
Forbes: Nearly 20% Of Americans Faced Depression In 2020—Led By These States
Nearly one in five American adults were diagnosed with depression in 2020, according to a new study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The survey found that the Appalachian region and southern Mississippi Valley had the highest rates of depression, with West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee and Arkansas reporting the four highest rates of diagnosis. Depression was more prevalent among women and younger adults. Experts say that the increase in depression rates can be attributed to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, which has caused disruptions in mental health services and elevated substance abuse.
The Epoch Times: California Authorities Seize Lethal Amounts of Fentanyl, Other Drugs in San Francisco
California authorities have seized a significant amount of fentanyl in San Francisco, enough to kill the city’s entire population nearly three times. The state launched a public safety partnership in May, and the California Highway Patrol and California National Guard personnel have since seized over 4.2 kilograms of fentanyl in the Tenderloin neighborhood. The focus is on “targeting fentanyl trafficking, disrupting the supply of the deadly drug in the city, and holding the operators of drug trafficking rings accountable.”
Fox News: American Medical Association adopts new policy on healthy weight assessment
The American Medical Association (AMA) will advise doctors to consider other factors in addition to body mass index (BMI) to determine a patient’s healthy weight, as BMI does not predict disease risk equally across racial and ethnic groups. Doctors were advised that other measures, such as body composition, belly fat, waist circumference, and genetic factors, are also important. The AMA's new policy comes after acknowledging BMI's historical harm and use for racist exclusion. The group also said overemphasis of bodily thinness is as deleterious to one's health as obesity. The new policy also says BMI should not be used as a sole criterion for denying insurance reimbursement.
The Epoch Times: FDA Panel Recommends Updating COVID-19 Vaccines
Experts recommend updating COVID-19 vaccines due to subpar performance against the XBB variant and its sublineages. The FDA is expected to clear the updated shots, which are projected to be available in or near September. Companies presented animal and clinical trial data indicating that vaccines targeting just XBB trigger higher levels of neutralizing antibodies compared to current shots. The goal of updating the vaccine is to convince more people to get vaccinated.

Fox News: Woman speaks out after father's remains trafficked in Harvard Medical School morgue scandal: 'No words'
Harvard Medical School was rocked by scandal recently when former morgue manager Cedric Lodge and his alleged accomplices Katrina Maclean, Joshua Taylor, Jeremy Pauley, and Denise Lodge were indicted on charges related to stolen body parts. Lodge is accused of stealing body parts from donated cadavers, which he then sold to third parties between 2018 and 2022. Paula Peltonovich, whose father's remains had been donated to Harvard Medical School, spoke out, saying that the crimes were "unthinkable." Harvard confirmed that Peltonovich's father was a victim. Peltonovich said that her family is now working to retrieve her mother's body from Harvard.

The chemical engineering professor was caught on tape performing bestiality in a state forest in Pennsylvania. Matsoukas donated at least $331 to Warren's campaign between 2019 and 2020 and has donated more than $1,000 to Democratic candidates and committees.
The Epoch Times: 'Rust' Armorer May Have Brought Live Rounds on Set, Prosecutors Say
Prosecutors now have evidence suggesting that the armorer on the film set of "Rust" possibly introduced live rounds onto the set where Alec Baldwin was holding a gun that fired a bullet, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. The armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, was previously responsible for allowing live ammunition on the set, but not for bringing live rounds. Prosecutors found four spent casings in Gutierrez-Reed's gun kit that match live rounds found on the New Mexico set, leading them to believe she may be responsible for introducing live rounds.
Gutierrez-Reed is the only person charged with Hutchins' death, but prosecutors may file new charges against Baldwin in the next 60 days. The first assistant director on "Rust" pleaded guilty to negligent use of a deadly weapon for his involvement in Hutchins' death. Charges against Baldwin were dropped after new evidence suggested the gun's hammer might have been modified, causing it to misfire. Gutierrez-Reed maintains that she loaded a live round into the gun thinking it was a dummy round.
