The Epoch Times: Rancher Angered When Uninvited Pipeline Surveyors Enter Home
Land surveyors for Summit Carbon Solutions arrived unannounced at a ranch in Brown County, South Dakota, to survey land without permission or compensation as part of their Midwest Carbon Express project. The project aims to build a pipeline that will pull carbon from over 30 ethanol plants and send it to North Dakota to be buried a mile underground as part of an initiative against carbon emissions. The project is being encouraged by the federal government through the federal Carbon Capture and Sequestration tax credit of up to $85 per ton of CO2 captured and sequestered, which will net the project $1.02 billion in taxpayer incentives. The Brown County ranch landowners, who do not want a pipeline on their land unilaterally entered, have been threatened with contempt of court, with the company hiring armed security guards to accompany survey crews on landowners' properties, reflecting the company's disregard for safety and disregard for private property rights.

Hongkongers are canceling their organ donor registration following the announcement by Hong Kong's Health Secretary, Lo Chung-mau, that Hong Kong hospitals would be integrated into China's Organ Transplant Response System (COTRS). Commentators believe that the Chinese Communist Party is using Hong Kong to "internationalize its organ transplant business" while avoiding the restrictions on organ transplants in mainland China.
