Fox News: VP Biden's Ukraine trip came 3 days before holiday party with Hunter, Rosemont Seneca execs
VP Biden's Ukraine trip came 3 days before holiday party with Hunter, Rosemont Seneca execs
Hunter Biden and his partners from Rosemont Seneca attended a holiday party hosted by then-vice president Joe Biden just days after his infamous Ukraine trip in December 2015, where he pressured the country to fire prosecutor Viktor Shokin who was investigating Burisma Holdings, a company where Hunter served on the board. This casts further doubt on Joe Biden’s claim that he had no knowledge or involvement in his son’s business dealings. Emails and White House visitor logs show that Burisma connections and discussions were ongoing between Hunter and his partners in the days leading up to the party.

Republicans are seizing on allegations that Joe Biden took $5 million from Burisma and that a Burisma executive bribed the Biden family. Meanwhile, Trump pleaded not guilty in a Miami court to 37 criminal counts after a grand jury voted on the charges following a months-long investigation by Special Counsel Jack Smith, who was appointed by Biden Attorney General Merrick Garland. The House Oversight Committee has subpoenaed Devon Archer, a former business partner of Hunter, to appear for a deposition this week in its investigation into the Biden family's business dealings. Archer lost an appeal last week to have his 2018 conviction and prison sentence for fraud thrown out.

Daily Wire: Vanderbilt Pediatric Transgender Clinic Terminates ‘Gender-Affirming Care’ Before Tennessee Law Takes Effect: Report
Vanderbilt Pediatric Transgender Clinic Terminates ‘Gender-Affirming Care’ Before Tennessee Law Takes Effect: Report
Vanderbilt University Medical Center has stopped providing minors with gender-affirming care due to a Tennessee law prohibiting doctors from performing such treatments and surgeries on minors. The law is set to be enforced from July 1 and threatens doctors with losing their licenses while allowing parents and the state attorney general to sue them for providing children with life-altering treatments. The move follows an exposé by Daily Wire host Matt Walsh last year, which showed a doctor referring to certain sex-change surgeries as "huge money makers." The transgender surgery industry has a $1.9 billion valuation in 2021 and is forecast to expand at a compound annual growth rate of over 11%.

Flag And Cross: Hurricane Season To Test South Florida's Battle Against Urban Flooding
Hurricane Season To Test South Florida's Battle Against Urban Flooding
As El Niño disrupts tropical development in the Atlantic, concerns grow over urban flooding in Miami during the Atlantic hurricane season. Even thunderstorms can cause chaos, as seen in June 2022, when tropical rain led to floods in the city, prompting City of Miami to invest billions in flood prevention measures. Although the city government claims to have achieved an improved Community Rating System rating from the National Flood Insurance Program, many are skeptical that improvements are sufficient. Nonetheless, Miami residents are advised to understand their risk for flooding and to purchase flood insurance.
