The Epoch Times: Republican Investigating DHS Secretary for Alleged Dereliction of Duty
Republican Investigating DHS Secretary for Alleged Dereliction of Duty
Former immigration officials have said that the Biden administration must be held accountable for the crisis on the US southern border, with accountability starting with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. Law enforcement agents tasked with securing the border are processing and caring for illegal immigrants, leading to human trafficking, drug smuggling and violence that is out of control. Wolf and other witnesses testified that Mayorkas has intentionally violated the law to implement an “open borders” policy favoured by the administration. Republicans charge that Mayorkas and the Biden administration have used broad language and vague policies to circumvent the law.

Fox News: Sen. Kennedy hits FBI, DOJ on silence on Biden bribery allegations: Dog the Bounty Hunter couldn't find them
Sen. Kennedy hits FBI, DOJ on silence on Biden bribery allegations: Dog the Bounty Hunter couldn't find them
Republicans are demanding a special counsel to investigate President Biden's alleged bribery crimes following former President Trump's federal indictment. Senator John Kennedy believes that only FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland can address the American people's "doubts" and uphold the integrity of law enforcement institutions. Senator Chuck Grassley claims that 17 audio recordings were kept by the Burisma executive who allegedly paid Joe and Hunter Biden $5 million. The allegations relating to form 1023 may extend beyond a single document, with additional evidence of bribery linked to the Biden family. House lawmakers continue to demand further action from the FBI and DOJ as a federal indictment has been brought against former President Trump.

Red State: The White House Shamelessly Announces It Will Keep Violating the Law Regarding the Hatch Act
The White House Shamelessly Announces It Will Keep Violating the Law Regarding the Hatch Act
The independent Office of Special Counsel has determined that White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre violated the Hatch Act by using the term "MAGA Republicans" during press briefings. Despite being warned, the White House has continued to use the term, flaunting the law and showing a lack of accountability.

While the Hatch Act may be outdated and a legal challenge may succeed on First Amendment grounds, the Biden administration's blatant disregard for the law is still notable. Jean-Pierre's excuse that "MAGA" is used as a technical, not political term, is a lie and the lack of shame or accountability in Washington is concerning.

A PAC aligned with Ron DeSantis releases an ad accusing President Joe Biden of accepting $5 million in bribes from a Ukrainian oligarch while in office. The ad draws on allegations made in an FBI confidential human source report and accuses the Biden administration of holding a double-standard in enforcing laws. The ad suggests DeSantis as the candidate to fix a broken justice system.

These 20 Republicans saved Adam Schiff from censure over Trump-Russia 'lies'
The House of Representatives voted to set aside a resolution that censured Rep. Adam Schiff for his comments regarding former President Trump's collusion with Russia. Twenty Republicans joined Democrats in voting against the measure, effectively killing it. Kennedy Jr.'s net favorability rating is 19 points higher than any other candidate, including Joe Biden and Donald Trump. Despite touting conspiracy theories about mass shootings and Covid-19, Kennedy Jr. has gained unexpected traction and has gained a collection of tech moguls, including Elon Musk and former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, behind him.

Franklin Graham Wishes Trump a Happy Birthday After Indictment
Evangelist Franklin Graham wishes President Trump a happy 77th birthday and requests prayers for him and his family following recent events, including Trump's arraignment in Miami. Critics point out the irony of Trump being prosecuted for document handling while previous presidents and political figures, such as Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton, were not prosecuted for similar offenses. Supporters continue to show their love and support for Trump, with some singing "Happy Birthday" and others praying over him.

Spectator USA: Biden gives Trump the silent treatment
Biden gives Trump the silent treatment
Former president Donald Trump pleaded not guilty to thirty federal charges and celebrated his birthday in Miami, showcasing his signature flair for drama and absurdity. Meanwhile, current president Joe Biden and the Democratic Party have taken a vow of silence on the indictment, with some Democrats expressing concern that Biden may miss an opportunity to underscore the gravity of the situation and deliver a political blow to his rival. However, the quiet approach may be the better strategy, especially given Biden's own legal challenges and the growing pressure on him to speak up as legal questions continue to dominate the conversation.

The New American: The Invasion of Taiwan is Already Underway
The Invasion of Taiwan is Already Underway
The Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) goal of conquering Taiwan is already underway and being pursued through non-military means, but with military intimidation as backup. China is using economic harassment, cyber attacks, propaganda, and threats of military invasion to pressure Taiwan into "reunification." China's dominance in unrestricted warfare allows them to use any means necessary to achieve their goals and outmaneuver the United States on the global stage. The CCP hopes to achieve its goal of "reunification" with Taiwan by 2032 to coincide with Xi Jinping's term as president or by 2049, the centennial of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

The Epoch Times: House Republicans Take Aim at Federal Regulations
House Republicans Take Aim at Federal Regulations
House Republicans aim to roll back regulations imposed by the Biden administration, citing excessive costs for businesses and fewer choices for consumers. Democrats argue that regulations protect public welfare and contribute to a thriving economy, while Republicans believe that regulations inhibit economic growth. Both parties agree that the federal rule-making process could be improved, and Biden issued an executive order to make it more transparent and inclusive. The Republicans plan to pursue legislative solutions to ensure regulatory reform, while Democrats advocate for regulations that ensure clean air, water, and safe workplaces.

Newsom touted the success of California’s high-tech sector and its leading status in IPOs, as well as pointed out that middle-class families in Texas and Florida pay more taxes than those in California. He also took responsibility for California’s homeless population, saying he has tried to tackle the problem raising the minimum wage and suing cities that aren’t following housing laws. Hannity criticized the state’s top income tax rate of 13.3 percent, compared to Florida’s 0 percent, and departure of companies such as Target, Whole Foods, and Walgreens due to the “smash and grab issue.”

Space Force General Admits She’d Prioritize Gender Surgery Access Over Qualified Officers
Lt. Gen. DeAnna M. Burt of the United States Space Force said access to gender-affirming care would take priority over qualifications when assigning officers, citing concerns over anti-LGBTQ+ laws. Burt said while she normally considered job performance and qualifications first, she also had to factor in whether her troops would feel safe in those assignments in relation to the laws of the state. Space Force veteran Lt. Col Matt Lohmeier criticized Burt's statement, saying she was being politically partisan while acting in an official capacity.

The Epoch Times: Southern Baptists Vote to Solidify Position Against Female Pastors
Southern Baptists Vote to Solidify Position Against Female Pastors
The Southern Baptist Convention upheld the ousting of two congregations that had elevated women to lead and senior pastoral roles, including the second-largest congregation Saddleback Church, at their annual meeting in New Orleans. Additionally, over two-thirds of members voted to clarify their position against women as pastors by adding language to the SBC's constitution, with a second vote to be held next year for it to officially be added. The decision sets a precedent for more churches to be ousted in the future for breaching the constitution by elevating women to high roles.

The Baptist Faith and Message from 2000 stated that "while both men and women are gifted for service in the church, the office of pastor is limited to men as qualified by Scripture." However, the constitutional amendment being proposed would add the wording that churches are only in "friendly cooperation" with the SBC if they "appoint, affirm, or employ only men as any kind of pastor or elder as qualified by Scripture." Both Saddleback founding pastor Rick Warren and Fern Creek pastor Linda Popham spoke up on the floor of the convention Wednesday, pleading with messengers to understand and accept their position. Albeit, the decision to uphold the ousting prevailed with messengers responding overwhelmingly with a vote against welcoming back both churches.

American Medical Association: BMIs are... racist?
The American Medical Association adopted a new policy aimed at clarifying how body mass index (BMI) can be used as a measure in medicine. BMI has a "problematic history" and doesn't account for differences across race/ethnic groups, sexes, genders, and age-span. The AMA suggests physicians measure other factors such as body adiposity index, body composition, waist circumference, etc. and not use BMI as the sole criterion to deny appropriate insurance reimbursement.

Democrat Witness Unable To Name One Study That Shows Benefits Of Sex-Change Treatments For Minors
Representative Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) grilled a Democratic witness, Dr. Meredithe McNamara, during a hearing on his bill that would block federal funding for hospitals offering gender transition treatments for minors. Crenshaw repeatedly asked Dr. McNamara to provide evidence to support her claim that sex change treatments were beneficial for children, but she was unable to do so, falling back on the “standards of care”. Crenshaw cited reviews from various medical journals concluding that there was little evidence to support the benefits of gender transition treatments. The exchange highlighted the contentiousness of the issue and the lack of consensus on it.

Stray Kids Can Conquer Billboard’s Albums Chart—Here’s What They Have To Dominate Next
K-pop group Stray Kids celebrates their third No.1 album on the Billboard 200 with their latest release 5-Star and fans are speculating about their future achievements. They aim to move beyond the album chart success and achieve their first Hot 100 hit, sustain success with albums, receive radio play, and win major awards such as the Grammy Awards, American Music Awards, and MTV honors. Despite the limited recognition of K-pop acts in the Grammy Awards, Stray Kids have the potential to secure nominations and potentially win these awards, considering their immense popularity and dedicated fanbase.

Stray Kids look forward to achieving new milestones as they continue to dominate the charts. With a strong promotional power, they aspire to achieve a Hot 100 win and sustain success with released albums by remaining for an extended period on the Billboard 200 chart. However, to achieve radio airplay, they need to actively pursue it in America. Winning major awards, including the prestigious Grammy Awards, should also top their list of goals, but they could equally win various other prizes such as the American Music Awards and several MTV honors.

OC Animal Care Troubled by High Euthanasia Rates, Poor Leadership: Grand Jury Report
A report by a grand jury in Orange County expressed concerns over euthanasia rates, poor leadership, and lack of proper assessment at OC Animal Care, with previous reports detailing similar issues. Euthanasia rates for perceived aggressive or poor animal behavior have increased, partly due to the pandemic limiting appointments and viewing for potential adoptees. The grand jury recommended the shelter returns to its previous system by the end of the year to increase animal welfare and potential adoptions.
