DHS Secretary Mayorkas Is One Step Closer to Impeachment
DHS Secretary Mayorkas is facing impeachment as preliminary findings support allegations of lying to Congress about the border crisis. Chairman Mark Green of the House Homeland Security Committee revealed the initial results of the investigation, stating that Mayorkas allowed the southern border to deteriorate into a crisis with both national security and humanitarian implications. The investigation is expected to conclude within approximately 12 weeks.

The Federalist Papers: Watch: Anti-Trump Agitator Immediately Pays the Price After Rushing Motorcade Outside Courthouse
Watch: Anti-Trump Agitator Immediately Pays the Price After Rushing Motorcade Outside Courthouse
A man wearing a prison uniform and carrying a "lock him up" sign dashed in front of former President Donald Trump's motorcade in Miami as the former president left a courthouse. The man, identified as Dominic Santana, was swiftly removed by officers and taken away in handcuffs. Santana said prior to his arrest that he was there to see Trump "locked up once and for all." Trump was arraigned in court Tuesday on a federal indictment. Some Trump supporters in the crowd pushed back against Santana's message, with one saying Trump is innocent and should be left alone.

Fox News: Trump raises over $2 million at Bedminster fundraiser following arraignment
Trump raises over $2 million at Bedminster fundraiser following arraignment
Former President Trump raised over $2 million at a fundraiser at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, just hours after pleading not guilty to federal criminal charges in Florida. Trump is facing 37 felony charges, including illegally retaining national security records and obstructing federal efforts to recover the documents. Ninety percent of the funds raised at the event will go to the Trump 2024 campaign, and the remaining 10% will go to his Save America PAC. Trump's fundraising faces competition from Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who raised a record-breaking $8 million in the first 24 hours after declaring his candidacy last month.

Despite facing numerous criminal charges, former President Trump continues to have sway with deep pocketed donors and bundlers in the GOP. While his fundraising has mainly come from small grassroots donations, the money raised at the Bedminster fundraiser shows that he still has financial support from influential donors. However, he does face competition from Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who appears to have strong financial backing as well. Trump's campaign is expected to see another fundraising boost in the wake of the latest indictment.

The Epoch Times: IRS Banned From Buying Guns With Taxpayer Funds Under New Bill
IRS Banned From Buying Guns With Taxpayer Funds Under New Bill
Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) proposed a bill to ban the IRS from purchasing, receiving, or storing guns and ammunition, transferring the agency’s firepower to the General Services Administration for auction. The measure would also move the armed Criminal Investigation Division of the IRS to the Department of Justice. OpenTheBooks previously found that the tax agency spent millions of dollars of taxpayer money on military-style equipment, prompting backlash. IRS Commissioner Danny Werfel denied claims that the tax agency sought to arm IRS auditors during a hearing in the House.

Red State: The Trump Indictment Is the Singing Canary In the American Coal Mine
The Trump Indictment Is the Singing Canary In the American Coal Mine
The United States is on the verge of collapse, just like past empires. The prosperity of the nation has made people complacent, ignoring the cracks in the foundation of the civilization. Groups have been easily manipulated into demonizing enemies, like former President Trump, and hating him to the point of a witch hunt. The Democrat party and media exaggerated his flaws and created a visage of him as a horrible and dangerous person. Trump had 37 felony counts brought against him, and the Democrat party is less interested in threats to America than the threats to their party. The purpose of the article is to point out that if it's happening to him, it can just as easily happen to anyone. It's an endorsement of a banana republic and the promotion of a two-tier justice system. It's the hard beginning of late-stage empire.

Trump hits back at Jake Tapper after he demanded that CNN cut footage of enthused Trump supporters
Donald Trump clashed with CNN anchor Jake Tapper when the latter refused to air his appearance with supporters in Florida. Trump responded by branding Tapper "Fake Tapper" and mocked CNN's low ratings. Tapper had called for the footage to be cut, saying Trump was trying to turn the event into a campaign ad. They made the comments amid a background of the former president being indicted on 37 charges, which Trump called a "day [that] will go down in infamy."

Former NSA employee Paul Lovley has been sentenced to 14 days in prison and three years of probation for storming the U.S. Capitol with white nationalist associates. Lovley had worked as an IT specialist for the NSA until January 6, 2021. Prosecutors charged Lovley and four other men as members of the America First movement, a white nationalist group. Lovley pleaded guilty to demonstrating in a Capitol building, a misdemeanor. Lovley and his associates broke into the Capitol with the mob and entered Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office. Lovley is the latest to be sentenced for Jan. 6-related crimes.

National Review: The Corner: Joe Biden to Allies: Hands Off the GOP While It’s Self-Destructing
The Corner: Joe Biden to Allies: Hands Off the GOP While It’s Self-Destructing
Biden administration silent on Trump's indictment by Justice Dept. Officials believe it's an opportunity to highlight Trump's unsuitability for office, but Biden wants to avoid influence and defer to the tradition of presidents avoiding commenting on ongoing investigations. By appearing impartial, the administration hopes to let the Republicans devour themselves and avoid inflaming the GOP's base. The White House will seek to influence the conversation through surrogates with a deniable connection. Biden's deference is more informed by prerogative than principle and some voters are pledging allegiance to Trump despite his legal troubles.

PJ Media: Netanyahu Says Biden Administration Is in 'Indirect Talks' With Iran on a 'Mini Agreement' on Nukes
Netanyahu Says Biden Administration Is in 'Indirect Talks' With Iran on a 'Mini Agreement' on Nukes
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirms that the Biden administration held "indirect talks" with Iran to revive the nuclear deal, a move that goes beyond statecraft and is an attempt by Biden to salvage Obama's legacy. However, both the US and Iran deny such talks, stating that "any reports of an interim deal are false." Netanyahu opposes a new deal with Iran and confirms the "understanding," which includes an Iranian commitment not to enrich uranium above 60%, the release of billions of dollars in Iranian funds, and a prisoner exchange deal. Iran's "pinky promise" not to enrich uranium above 60% is useless and releasing more billions into Iran's regime is perhaps the most cynical act of Biden's presidency.

Senator Chuck Grassley testified about the FBI withholding information regarding the Bidens' involvement with Ukranian energy company, Burisma, while indicting Trump for similar conduct. Grassley also claims that the FBI withheld tapes of conversations between a Burisma executive and the Biden family, which were kept as "insurance policy." Journalists and politicians expressed concerns about the allegations of bribery and national security risks.

Contingent of Republicans Weigh Defunding DOJ Over Mistreatment of Jan. 6 Prisoners
House Republicans are considering using the power of the purse to respond to the alleged civil rights violations of Jan. 6 prisoners and defendants. During a field hearing hosted by Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), members of the public called for justice and indictment for Michael Byrd, the Capitol Police lieutenant who shot and killed Ashli Babbitt on Jan. 6. The hearing also revealed that family members of accused individuals had been placed on government watchlists, with several designated as a high-security risk for flying. Republicans are considering using appropriations to hold the government accountable and also proposing venue reforms so Jan. 6 defendants could face a true jury of their peers.

'Schiff just hit the fan': House Republicans poised to censure Rep. Adam Schiff
House Republicans are seeking to censure and fine Rep. Adam Schiff for his role in promoting the debunked Russian collusion theory and allegedly abusing his position as Intelligence Committee chairman. GOP Rep. Anna Paulina Luna's resolution claims Schiff repeatedly lied to Congress and the American people by citing falsified evidence of collusion between President Trump and Russia, and demands Schiff pay $16 million in damages related to the investigation. The resolution is set to be voted on Thursday. Some Republicans are not on board with the wording of the resolution, and Democrats plan to challenge it.

In response, Schiff has started asking voters to contribute to his Senate campaign, as he aims to fill the California seat being vacated by retiring Sen. Dianne Feinstein. Schiff is now in a high-profile primary race with fellow California House Democratic Reps. Katie Porter and Barbara Lee.

White House flew controversial new transgender flag that promotes grooming and pedophilia, say critics
The Biden administration's new "Progress Pride Flag" was hung at the White House during a Pride Month celebration, featuring an 11-color design that includes stripes for trans, non-binary, and intersex Americans, as well as a memorial to AIDS victims and survivors. However, critics argue that the new design glorifies pedophilia and represents an unwanted takeover of traditional gay symbolism. Some social media users also criticized the display for disregarding American flag etiquette and as an affront to national sovereignty. Two trans activists at the event removed their tops under the Progress Pride Flag, further fueling the controversy.

Fox News: Woman arrested for silent prayer outside abortion clinic notches legal win but still faces potential charges
Woman arrested for silent prayer outside abortion clinic notches legal win but still faces potential charges
Police in the UK have loosened bail restrictions on Isabel Vaughn-Spruce, a pro-life activist who was arrested twice for silently praying outside an abortion clinic in Birmingham, but she may still face charges. The West Midlands Police imposed restrictions on her following her March arrest; these have now been lifted although Vaughn-Spruce could still be charged. She had previously been arrested for the same action in December last year and accused of breaching a Public Health Protection Order introduced by Birmingham banning protests near clinics.

Vaughn-Spruce said she was concerned that “peaceful presence” could still be restricted in future and reasserted her right to pray without harassment. Defending her was ADF UK, which hailed her case as an example of the dangers of police powers over citizens’ rights. Vaughn-Spruce’s legal defence argued that silent prayer was protected under Article 9 of the European Convention on Human Rights.

STUDY: More LGBT Bomb Threats, but TV News Media Remain Totally Silent
Liberal TV news networks have not reported on new bomb threats against Target by alleged LGBT activists, accusing the retailer of betraying the LGBTQ+ community by moving their pride month-themed merchandise to less prominent displays. Despite the threats accusing Target of betraying the community in May, which led to store evacuations, law enforcement found no explosives. Though the networks failed to report on the latest spate of threats and their shared motive, they have expressed outrage over conservatives boycotting Target. NBC News Now did air reports on the threats and their origins, while The Washington Post insinuated that the right was the origin of the attacks. The networks' silence serves to downplay terrorism by their own side.

This suggests a fractured relationship with the family and a preference for luxury hotels. It's not the first time Harry has chosen a hotel over a multi-million dollar home, sparking rumors about his relationship with Meghan and the state of his family dynamics.

Escalating conflict in Sudan displaces over 2M people, UN warns of potential 'crimes against humanity'
Sudan's conflict has displaced over 2 million people and killed at least 959 civilians. Clashes between the military and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces erupted in April in the capital, Khartoum, and other parts of the country, resulting in the displacement of over 1.6 million people within Sudan. Around 530,000 people fled to neighbouring countries while some 1.3 million people remained internally displaced. The ongoing conflict appears to be escalating, with tensions mounting in Darfur city potentially leading to "crimes against humanity."

The Epoch Times: US Sanctions Companies Training Chinese Pilots, Helping China in Weapons Development
US Sanctions Companies Training Chinese Pilots, Helping China in Weapons Development
The US Commerce Department added Chinese and foreign entities to its Entity List over concerns of national security and foreign policy risks. Firms including Frontier Services Group and the Test Flying Academy of South Africa were sanctioned for providing training to Chinese military pilots using Western and NATO sources. Additional companies were blacklisted for assisting China with building hypersonic weapons and upgrading its military. China criticised the sanctions, calling them a “wrong practice of politicising, instrumentalising, and weaponising economic, trade, and sci-tech issues with a pretext of human rights or military-related issues”.

Around 30 former UK Armed Forces pilots have been lured to train Chinese-armed forces, according to a UK MoD intelligence alert. Compensation packages of around $270,000 a year were offered. The UK is taking steps to stop China from attempting to headhunt current and former UK Armed Forces pilots from training Chinese armed forces in China. Meanwhile, former US military pilot Daniel Edmund Duggan was arrested in Australia and faces extradition to the US over allegations that he worked for a Chinese aviation consulting firm from 2017 to 2020.

Canadian PR manager resigns from Chinese-founded development bank, accusing it of Communist Party influence
Bob Pickard, a Canadian public relations manager, resigned from his position as director general of global communications at the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) on Wednesday, accusing the Chinese-founded bank of being dominated by "Communist Party hacks" and claiming that it had "a toxic culture". He added that he did not believe Canada's interests were served by the bank, which has 106 member governments, including most Asian countries and Australia, Canada, Russia, France, and Britain. The AIIB rejected Pickard's accusations as "baseless and disappointing".

With Poland gaining in international prominence and influence, Morawiecki hopes that the US will reciprocate its offer of friendship.

Human Events: US tries to angle China out of subsea internet infrastructure market
US tries to angle China out of subsea internet infrastructure
market
China is building its own international subsea cable network, fearing Western powers may use their subsea cables to spy on China. The move could create a worldwide split in subsea cable infrastructure, bringing about a "Cold War under the sea." The US, France, and Japan are leading in the installation of subsea cables, but have largely barred China from penetrating this market, fearing it may exploit the infrastructure to commit espionage. Several countries have made clear only certain ships and personnel can install and maintain cables within their economic zones, due to concerns of potential espionage and sabotage.

China is overcoming being left out of the international subsea cable development, involving US investments, by building their own international cables that will benefit them and their global allies. However, there are concerns that subsea cables are vulnerable to hacking and data extraction. Beijing has its sights set on targeting areas where it has political and commercial influence such as Africa, Latin America, and other areas of Asia. China has a number of levers that it can pull to push back against being shut out of global cable projects, including the protection of its offshore territories.

China establishes 'strategic partnership' with Palestinian Authority following Mahmoud Abbas' Beijing visit
China and the Palestinian Authority have established a “strategic partnership” during Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’ visit to Beijing, marking another step in China’s ambition to gain political and economic influence in the Middle East. The move comes as China seeks energy resources and markets for its exports, while also promoting its form of authoritarian governance. The strategic partnership was hailed an “important milestone in the history of bilateral relations,” although there was no immediate indication of its financial details. By forging such partnerships, China seeks to bolster its diplomatic posture and give corporations an advantage when seeking infrastructure deals in alignment with the Chinese government’s “Belt and Road Initiative.”

Here's How Much Money Michael Saylor's Company Would Have Now If It Had Invested In Ethereum.
Data intelligence firm MicroStrategy could have been more profitable if it had invested in Ethereum instead of Bitcoin, according to statistics platform blockchaincenter.net. MicroStrategy currently holds the largest number of Bitcoin, but its portfolio has declined in value by 14% since its latest acquisition of 1,045 Bitcoin in April. If the company had invested in Ethereum at different points, it could now be holding 3,681,627 ETH, yielding a 54% increase against BTC. MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor holds Bitcoin in higher esteem than Ethereum and switching to ETH is unlikely.

By staking its Ether stash, MicroStrategy could have potentially earned an additional 326,225 ether, bringing in a staking profit of about $572.5 million annually at an annual percentage rate of 4%. However, Saylor maintains that Bitcoin will continue to dominate and that regulatory clarity will drive Bitcoin adoption. Although MicroStrategy’s portfolio could have been more profitable with Ethereum, Saylor believes Bitcoin is the only institutional-grade asset.

Replacing Aging Canadian Submarine Fleet Appears Unlikely to Happen Soon
Canada's need to replace its aging submarine fleet remains unresolved as nuclear-powered options are off the table and replacement commitment is not expected in the upcoming defence policy update. The need for resources to modernize NORAD and buy new fighter jets may delay submarine replacement while the budgetary implications are a concern. Defence experts are also questioning Canada's capacity to tackle another massive capital procurement project. While the Royal Canadian Navy continues work on the Canadian Patrol Submarine Project, some experts suggest Canada's absence from alliances like AUKUS and the Quad is due to its lack of formal commitments in the Pacific.

Gataway Couple: What Does DEF Fluid Actually Do?
What Does DEF Fluid Actually Do?
All diesel engines need diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) to cut down on harmful nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions. DEF comprises 67.5% deionized water and 32.5% urea, which, when injected into the hot exhaust gas, evaporates and leaves behind ammonia that reduces harmful NOx before releasing exhaust gas into the air. DEF fluid comprises (NH2)2CO, which breaks down into ammonia and isocyanic acid to reduce NOx. DEF fluid is necessary for all diesel-powered vehicles manufactured after Jan. 1, 2010, including trucks, buses, RVs, and SUVs. The frequency of topping-up depends on how often the vehicle is driven and for what purposes. When it's time to fill up the DEF tank, you'll receive an alert on the dashboard of your vehicle. You can fill up DEF fluid from any truck stop that has diesel fuel, or from Walmart, Target, and auto parts stores, among other locations. Keep an eye on the DEF level just like you do your fuel.
