Newsbusters: Nets Spend 291 Minutes On Trump Indictment, 0 Seconds On Biden Burisma Bribery
Nets Spend 291 Minutes On Trump Indictment, 0 Seconds On Biden Burisma Bribery
Former President Donald Trump was indicted by the Special Counsel in the classified documents case on June 8. On the same day, it was reported that President Joe Biden had allegedly received $5 million dollars from an executive of the Ukrainian gas company Burisma. The Big Three broadcast networks extensively covered the Trump indictment with a total of 291 minutes of coverage but did not cover the Biden/Burisma alleged bribery scheme at all. The double-standard between the coverage of the two political stories is staggering.

CNN's Effort to Explain the Differences Between Trump and Clinton Cases Goes All Kinds of Wrong
Former FBI official Andrew McCabe defends Hillary Clinton's private server and document scandals on CNN. Some GOP members compare her case to charges against former President Donald Trump, but McCabe claims that the facts are different and that there was no evidence of intentional mishandling of classified information. Critics question CNN's credibility for hiring McCabe as a commentator despite his past lack of candor, and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy has called out the network for downplaying the severity of Clinton's actions.

The Epoch Times: Tory MP Says Attorney General Lametti Threatened His Reputation in Private Email
Tory MP Says Attorney General Lametti Threatened His Reputation in Private Email
Justice Minister and Attorney General David Lametti is accused of threatening the professional reputation of Conservative MP Frank Caputo via email. In a private email sent moments after Caputo applauded another MP's question regarding a potential conflict of interest, Mr. Lametti wrote: "I will let the community know." While Mr. Lametti maintains the email was intended for the Italian-Canadian community as a pushback against the suggestion of a perceived conflict of interests with former Supreme Court justice Frank Iacobucci, Mr. Caputo says it was intended for the legal community. A media statement released by Mr. Lametti was issued during Italian Heritage Month celebrations, counselling the Conservative to take into account the negative impact public figures with powers to sway opinion could have on ethnic minority communities.

Georgia’s Kemp Calls Trump Indictment ‘Concerning,’ But Says GOP Must Stay Focused On Key 2024 Issues
Georgia Governor Brian Kemp commented on the federal indictment against former President Donald Trump, calling it "concerning" and raising questions about selective prosecution by the Department of Justice. He stressed the need for Republican candidates to stay focused on the future and articulate their vision for the country, rather than being distracted by the indictment. Kemp praised Trump for policies that helped Georgia, but also disagreed with him on many issues. He said he is focused on ensuring Republican victories in Georgia and may or may not make an endorsement in the presidential primary race, but will support Trump if he becomes the party's nominee.

Oregon Jury Finds Electric Utility Company PacifiCorp Liable for 2020 Wildfires
Electricity company PacifiCorp is to pay close to $72m in damages after being found grossly negligent and reckless with regard to the cause of four 2020 wildfires in Oregon. The company was taken to court by 17 plaintiffs who argued that PacifiCorp had failed to sever power during a windstorm, despite warnings, which caused both deaths and property destruction. Lawyers claimed the utility firm knew the risk of catastrophic wildfire from its power line system and what it could do to avoid it, but chose not to. PacifiCorp says it will appeal against the ruling. ( )

PJ Media: Illinois Becomes First State to Outlaw Book Bans in Public Schools and Libraries
Illinois Becomes First State to Outlaw Book Bans in Public Schools and Libraries
Illinois Governor J.B Pritzker signed a law that requires public libraries to adopt a statement prohibiting book banning. The measure will take effect from January 1 of 2022. However, many believe that the law limits the community's ability to govern themselves, making it a tyrannical law. The left turned the issue into their favorite whipping boy, white supremacy, and made an argument an exercise in Reductio ad absurdum.

Ex-transgender influencer Oli London says Bud Light, Target losing billions after forcing 'harmful' agenda
Detransition activist Oli London argues that brands are losing billions by forcing a gender agenda on their customers. London, who identified as a trans woman for six months, said playing an active role in the gender movement has left him disillusioned. He claims that while society accepts people of all genders, the push to normalize trans ideology on kids has resulted in consumers being offended by woke companies. The activist says social media influencers like Dylan Mulvaney, who has over 10 million followers on TikTok, is inauthentic and "desperate for fame."

Transvestite flashes fake breasts below White House's prominently flown Pride flag after taking photo with Bidens
A transgender actor, Rose Montoya, exposed fake breasts at the White House's "all-American picnic" during the Pride Month celebrations. Montoya met Joe Biden and Jill Biden, telling the president that trans rights are human rights. Critics online condemned the vulgar display, with some stressing that the nation had become unrecognizable, while others accused Biden of violating political norms. Montoya noted that it is not illegal in Washington, D.C., to go topless and suggested that denunciations of his nudity on the South Lawn amounted to affirmations of his gender dysphoria.

San Francisco ice cream shop robbed twice in one morning, owner forced to toss gallons of product
"What's the Scoop," a San Francisco ice cream shop, was burglarized twice in the same morning with the stolen items, including cash, equipment, and ice cream estimated to be worth $15,000-$20,000. Despite the losses, owner Anthony Womack said the community and Mayor London Breed have stepped up to help him recoup the damages. Police are continuing their search for the suspects, one of whom Womack already identified. The shop plans to reopen on Tuesday.

The burglars broke into the shop for about 40 minutes, stealing a lot of equipment. Womack felt angry about the losses and believed that the thieves were his neighbors. The incident made him question his decision to open the shop, but with the help of the community and the mayor's grant for business owners in San Francisco, he could reopen the store on Tuesday.

The Corner: ‘A Non-Man Attracted to Non-Men’
Johns Hopkins redefines lesbianism, stating it as "a non-man attracted to non-men." They confirm that the new definition includes non-binary people who identify with the label. However, the term "gay man" still refers to "a man who is attracted to other men." This redefinition undermines women, turning them into a being "definable only by reference to the male."

An export control list has been placed over national security and foreign policy concerns, which includes 43 "entities" from both Chinese and foreign companies. Some companies were sanctioned for aiding the development of China’s hypersonic weapons and modernizing its army, while others were placed on the list for allegedly supplying items that helped the Chinese government monitor Uyghurs and other ethnic minorities.

Don’t Put All Your Eggs in One Basket
Dave advises John not to buy single stocks, as they are too risky and a 15% discount is nothing special. Most companies offer the same discount and the stock's performance can vary up to 15% in a year. If John loves his company, he should invest in it, but not allow single stocks to make up more than 10% of his net worth. Diversification is paramount, as betting the farm on one horse is a high-risk play.

Garth Brooks doubles down on Bud Light stance: 'I think diversity is the answer to the problems that are here and the answer to the problems that are coming'
Garth Brooks has stood by his announcement that his Nashville bar, Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky Tonk, will stock Bud Light, despite a boycott of the beer brand. The move prompted criticism, including from Republican U.S. Rep Matt Gaetz. Brooks defended his stance on his “Inside Studio G” livestream, saying he believes in inclusiveness and will allow customers to make their own final decision as to which brand of beer they choose. Other country singers including John Rich, Brantley Gilbert, and Travis Tritt, have pushed back on Bud Light since its partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney was revealed in April, leading to billions in lost revenue for owner Anheuser-Busch.

AI You Need Is Love: Artificial Intelligence Helps Create ‘Final’ Beatles Song, Paul McCartney Says
A new Beatles song using AI to extract the voice of the late John Lennon from an old demo tape will be released later this year, according to Paul McCartney. The technology was able to isolate Lennon's voice and use it to complete the decades-old track. While audio restoration and posthumous releases are not uncommon, the application of AI is raising ethical and legal challenges for creative industries relating to the use of artists' work, image and voice . The generation of content by "generative AI", which is often trained on other artists' own work, is scarce in recognition or compensation for the originating artist .

The Epoch Times: Flavanols Linked to Better Memory: Study
Flavanols Linked to Better Memory: Study
A new study published in The Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences found that flavanols, compounds found in colorful fruits and vegetables, may help maintain mental sharpness in healthy older adults. Participants who took a daily flavanol pill with a lower baseline of flavanol intake experienced improved memory. However, taking a daily flavanol supplement with a rich flavanol diet saw only slight memory improvement. It's important to note that the study did not investigate the impact of depleting flavanol in individuals without deficiency, which would be ethically challenging.

The reporter used a Toyota electric SUV and experienced cold weather and insufficient charging stations, which resulted in charging times that added at least two hours to his nine-hour trip. He concluded that electric cars are not yet suitable for long trips, and the experience left him wishing for a gas-powered car.
