Forbes: Trump Heads To Miami: Here’s What To Expect At His Court Appearance Tuesday In Classified Docs Case
Former President Donald Trump is due to appear in a Miami federal courthouse at 3 pm on Tuesday to face charges of mishandling classified documents. He is expected to surrender himself to authorities beforehand, and it is likely he will be arrested and booked before appearing in court. It is unlikely that he will be handcuffed as he is a low security risk, but he will likely face fingerprinting and possibly a DNA profile. Journalists are not allowed electronic devices, and there will likely be no visuals released to the public.
Trump appears to be defiant, saying he won't take a plea without financial compensation, and boasting to his supporters on Truth Social. A CBS/YouGov poll indicates that the indictment has made no impact on his support base, and in fact may have even solidified it among GOP primary voters, while they suggested that the case may be politically motivated. The indictment is a first for a former president facing federal charges and has raised a number of unprecedented issues. Federal judges are randomly assigned cases, but a significant number were appointed by Trump in Florida, including judges in the Southern district where the Miami court is located.
The Federalist: Grassley’s ‘17 Recordings' News Brings Burisma Into The Spotlight
Sen. Chuck Grassley revealed that the Ukrainian owner of Burisma allegedly made 17 audio recordings of conversations with the Bidens. The conversations suggest that then-Vice President Joe Biden may have been involved in prompting Burisma to hire his son for a job on the board of directors. Grassley has pushed the FBI to release a confidential human source report that alleged that a foreign national had bribed the Bidens to influence policy decisions.
The House Oversight Committee subpoenaed Hunter Biden's business partner and fellow Burisma board member, Devon Archer, to testify. Archer sat on the Burisma board with Hunter and was present for meetings with his foreign business partners. He is likely to assert his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination, but he may see cooperation as more attractive after losing a challenge to an unrelated criminal conviction for fraud. The Republican-controlled House may have the power to grant him immunity to expose the extent of the Bidens' corruption.
Liberty Nation: Donald Trump in the Dock
Former President Donald J. Trump surrenders to authorities in Miami’s federal courthouse today (June 13). He faces accusations of 37 federal crimes for offenses related to handling classified documents after he left the presidency. Trump will likely present himself to authorities in a parking garage and be escorted through a tunnel into the courthouse for processing, including fingerprinting and an arraignment. Reports say police are prepared for crowds of five to 50,000. Trump will be accompanied at all times by his Secret Service security detail.
Trump is charged with 31 separate instances of illegally retaining “National Defense Information” and the rest of the charges are based on attempts to keep the documents from being turned over or revealed. Judge Aileen M. Cannon has been assigned to the case. She was appointed to the federal bench by President Trump in 2020 and she made several rulings that favored Trump in 2022. Court watchers should expect she will apply the law to the facts as best she can. Evidence in the case involves classified, secret, and top-secret documents and it’s been suggested that the nature of the evidence will result in significant delays in pre-trial processes.

Forbes: Why Defense Production Struggles To Meet Ukraine War Needs
The war in Ukraine has led to an increased need for defense manufacturing to accelerate production to meet the wartime needs of Ukraine and NATO allies. However, simply spending more money on defense will not guarantee munitions and advanced weapon systems will be there in the necessary numbers. Accelerating production demands a different and technical approach that requires critical synchronization of both internal and external processes to avoid bottlenecks. Managing the S-curve acceleration is key to success and being able to control how steep the curve can be at any point in time is a missing element of most acceleration plans. Properly executed technical production boosts can often generate 30% to 50% more throughput capacity in a period of months and can be achieved without significant capital expenditures (CAPEX).

The Epoch Times: John Robson: With Johnston Gone, We Need a Real Public Inquiry With Teeth
There may be a public inquiry into Chinese communist meddling in Canadian elections, and former rapporteur David Johnston has resigned from his position. Johnston had faced accusations of conflicts of interest and his report was seen as unsatisfactory. However, it was also suggested that his appointment was part of a ploy by the PMO to make the issue a headache for Trudeau, given that Johnston is an old family friend of the PM and connected to the Trudeau Foundation. Commentators argue that Canada's establishment has been slow to realise the extent of China's influence over Canadian elites and that a real inquiry is needed.

Forbes: Liberate The Doctors: Four Principles
Doctors have been left out of discussions to reform the healthcare system for almost half a century, leading to rising costs and declining quality of care. To change this, doctors should be given the freedom to repackage and reprice their services, encouraged to innovate on the supply-side, and opportunities for private sector solutions should be explored. Deregulating the medical marketplace and making changes such as allowing employers to put money in a Health Savings Account and providing free services to the chronically ill would also benefit both doctors and patients.

The Epoch Times: Successful COVID-19 Vaccine Injury Claims Double In Three Months
The UK government has paid out over £11.5 million in successful COVID-19 vaccine injury claims which has nearly doubled in three months. Victims who receive payment under the Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme will get a one-off sum of £120,000 if they prove they have been severely disabled or have had family members die as a result of vaccination. According to an FOI, 96 claimants have been notified they are entitled to a Vaccine Damage Payment, and all the claims were awarded where the AstraZeneca vaccine was used. However, the number of claims could actually be higher.
Peter Todd, a consultant solicitor with Scott-Moncrieff & Associates, has initiated a claim against AstraZeneca under the Consumer Protection Act 1987, representing dozens of people who claim they suffered severe reactions or family members died after taking the vaccine. The legal team is seeking personal injury compensation from AstraZeneca, claiming that the vaccine was “not as safe as the public were entitled to expect.” The UK government has not ordered future supplies of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine.
National Review: The World Is Turning against Gender Experiments on Children
The United Kingdom's National Health Service will limit the use of puberty-suppressing drugs going forward, only allowing those enrolled in clinical trials to be prescribed the drugs in response to gaps in evidence found in an interim report about the infamous Tavistock gender clinic. Other European countries such as Norway, Finland, and Sweden have also pulled back on the medical experimentation on children in the name of gender ideology. They are reversing course not due to a religious revival or conservative culture war politics, but because of their publicly rationed healthcare provision severely constrained by public budgets. The U.S. federal government and progressives are still pushing full steam ahead, championing off-label use of puberty-blocking drugs.
