Breitbart: Grassley Raises Double Standard of DOJ's Handling of Trump, Biden Alleged Audio Recordings
Senator Chuck Grassley questioned the Justice Department’s double standard concerning former President Trump's audio recording compared to current President Biden's reported audio recordings detailing an alleged "bribery scheme." Grassley revealed on Monday that two audio recordings exist about an alleged pay-for-play scheme between Biden and a foreign national for $5 million dollars. Grassley drew a contrast between Special Counsel Jack Smith’s use of an audio recording as evidence against Trump and the DOJ’s perceived lack of interest in alleged audio recordings of Biden.
Red State: Donald Trump Scores Minor Legal Victory as Case Against Niece Mary Trump Proceeds
A New York judge rejected Mary Trump's motion to dismiss former President Donald Trump's lawsuit against her, who is accused of breaching a confidentiality agreement regarding his late father's estate. The court ruled that the former President had a valid breach of contract claim, establishing a substantial legal basis to pursue such claim. Trump's legal team intends to seek damages. Mary Trump has argued that her work is protected by the First Amendment and free speech rights, but the former President's lawsuit against her already survived a similar legal challenge in the past.
Breitbart: Rubio: Damage of Prosecuting Trump 'Far Outweighs Damage' Alleged in Indictment
Sen. Marco Rubio defends former President Donald Trump, stating that the damage the DOJ's prosecution does to the country far outweighs the damage alleged in the 49-page indictment, which seeks to jail Trump for 400 years if convicted on all counts. The indictment alleges 31 separate counts under the Espionage Act of willful retention of national security information. Trump maintains his innocence, stating that the investigation has been weaponized. Trump was booked at the courthouse in Miami and is awaiting arraignment.
Fox News: PHOTOS: Trump pleads not guilty on federal charges in Miami; supporters, opponents gather outside
Former President Donald Trump pleads not guilty to 37 federal charges related to his handling of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago. Supporters and opponents gathered outside the courthouse during Trump's appearance, as this is the first time a former president has faced federal criminal charges. Trump faces decades in federal prison if convicted on all 37 federal counts, for failing to return classified documents, including plans for a retaliatory attack and defense and weapon capabilities of the US. He is also accused of storing the documents in inappropriate places at his residence and of showing off the documents to visitors.
Trump dismissed the charges as a "political hit job" against him by the Biden Department of Justice. He has not spoken in court, but commented on his social media platform Truth Social, thanking his supporters and criticizing the "dictatorial" targeting prosecution of his political opponents. Trump's lawyer, Alina Habba, called the charges "commonplace" for dictatorships like Cuba and Venezuela. Trump's motorcade made its way to the courthouse from the Doral golf club, where supporters and opponents had already gathered and prayed over him. Trump eventually boarded his plane to New Jersey, where he is holding a fundraiser for his 2024 presidential bid.
Forbes: Trump Arrest: Trump Pleads Not Guilty To 37 Federal Charges In Classified Docs Case
Former President Donald Trump has pleaded not guilty to 37 felony charges in federal court in Miami, including 31 violations of the Espionage Act, as well as obstruction of justice and directing associates to lie to investigators. If convicted, he may face up to 20 years in prison. This is the first time a former US president has faced federal charges, and marks his second indictment since announcing a 2024 presidential run. The charges relate to allegations that Trump mishandled sensitive government documents after leaving office.
Trump, who entered the court with lawyers Todd Blanche and Christopher Kise, was photographed waving from the backseat of a car as it made its way to the courthouse. He was reportedly booked and taken into custody by federal authorities ahead of his arraignment. Magistrate Judge Jonathan Goodman, who barred cameras or recording devices, is overseeing the arraignment for Judge Aileen Cannon. Cannon, who was randomly assigned to the case, was widely criticized for ruling in Trump’s favor following a Justice Department investigation.
Fox News: Republicans hammer Biden after trans activists go topless at White House event: 'Very disgraceful'
Transgender activists went topless at the White House's Pride Month event, which led to criticism from Republican lawmakers. Transgender activist Rose Montoya and other attendees were banned from future events after partially disrobing on the White House lawn. Colorado Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert called the act disgraceful, and Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz said it was a way that President Biden had degraded the office of the President. The White House condemned Montoya and others' behavior, stating it was inappropriate and disrespectful.

Daily Wire: Megyn Kelly, Others Blasts Newsweek For Slamming Critics Of Article Referencing Women As ‘Non-Men’
Newsweek came under fire from critics after referring to those who objected to Johns Hopkins University's use of "non-men" when referring to women as "right-wing" and "anti-gay". Megyn Kelly and feminist author Jennifer Gingrich were among those who criticized Newsweek for misogyny. J.K. Rowling also chimed in, tweeting that non-men were "a being definable only by reference to the male". Some called for Johns Hopkins to stop "erasing" women.
The Epoch Times: Illinois Becomes First State to Punish Public Libraries for Banning Books
Illinois has become the first state to penalize public libraries for removing books, requiring them to follow a Bill of Rights in order to remain eligible for state funding. The law specifically focuses on one tenet, which says that library books “should not be proscribed or removed because of partisan or doctrinal disapproval.” The bill, backed by Democrat Governor J.B. Pritzker and Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias, is aimed at stopping censorship demands from “far-right extremist groups.” Republican opponents have denounced the effort as government overreach.
The New American: California Bill Threatens Non-“gender-affirming” Parents With Abuse Charges, Loss of Custody - The New American
The California legislature is considering a bill that would require judges hearing child-custody cases to consider “a parent’s affirmation of the child’s gender identity because it is in the best interest of the child to affirm their gender identity.” Those who refuse to affirm their child’s gender identity could face abuse charges. The implications are enormous; the bill’s effect would go beyond custody cases as it takes nothing to say non-affirmation is now abuse because to take care of the health safety and welfare of a child, one must identify with their gender. Thus, schools, churches, hospitals, and other organizations interacting with children would be required to affirm “gender transitions” in minors by default — or risk charges of child abuse.

Fox News: Putin admits Russia lacks drones, other weapons in war against Ukraine
Russia lacks drones and other equipment in its war against Ukraine, according to a statement by President Vladimir Putin. Admitting things were missing in Russia's "special military operation," Putin said the country requires high-precision ammunition, communications equipment, aircraft, drones, and more. Despite admitting to this weakness, Putin suggested Ukraine's forces had suffered "catastrophic" losses in a new counter-offensive and hinted that he could order troops to seize more land in Ukraine to protect Russian border territory.

Daily Wire: Netanyahu: Iran, U.S. Close To ‘Mini-Deal’ Israel Can Live With
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed a potential new nuclear deal between the U.S. and Iran, which Israel "could live with." The deal reportedly includes a cap on Iranian nuclear enrichment and the loosening of U.S. sanctions in return for around $20 billion in Iranian assets, as well as a prisoner exchange. However, a Biden administration spokesperson denied that talks towards an interim agreement were taking place, but did not rule out future discussions. Netanyahu warned that Israel would not be bound by any deal with Iran and would continue to defend itself.
The Epoch Times: Putin Says Russia Thinking of Ditching Grain Deal Due to West's 'Cheating'
President Putin is considering withdrawing Russia from the Black Sea grain deal because the West failed to live up to its promises of getting Russian goods to world markets. The United Nations brokered the deal, called the Black Sea Grain Initiative, last year to allow Ukraine to resume seaborne grain exports and to help tackle a global food crisis. To convince Moscow to ratify the pact, U.N. officials agreed to three-year accord to help Russia with its own food and fertilizer exports, but this has not been implemented. Putin said, “We are thinking about getting out of this grain deal now. Unfortunately, we were once again cheated – nothing was done in terms of liberalising the supply of our grain to foreign markets."
The Epoch Times: RCMP Shut Down Operations at Alleged Chinese Police Stations, House Committee Hears
Senior RCMP officials testified before the House of Commons that the force has shut down secret Chinese police stations across Canada. The two locations in Quebec, the Service à la famille chinoise du Grand Montréal and Centre Sino-Québec de la Rive-Sud, both operated by Brossard City Councillor Xixi Li, are thought to have been functioning as police stations for decades. Beyond these, at least seven other police stations are suspected to be operating in Canada. RCMP Deputy Commissioner Mark Flynn confirmed during the hearing that the agency continues to investigate stations in Metro Vancouver and Toronto, which Safeguard Defenders reports suggests were involved in the coercion, harassment, and forced repatriation of Chinese nationals living abroad.

Fox News: Madeline Kingsbury's parents fear daughter's suspected killer 'would flee' with kids if released
Madeline Kingsbury's parents are fighting for custody of their grandchildren after Fravel, the father of the children, was charged with the murder of Madeline. Kingsbury's parents want to terminate Fravel's parental rights, claiming he poses a flight risk and could flee with the children. Fravel had a standoff with social workers and police, locked them out, and took one of the children into the house, arguing with social workers later.
Kingsbury disappeared on March 31, and her body was found later along a highway. Kingsbury's parents want to take custody of both her children and argued that Fravel should not be allowed to have supervised visitation rights. Fravel's lawyer said Kingsbury's parent's move was misplaced, calling it "moot" and stating a temporary arrangement was in place. Fravel's custody battle came after he was charged with Kingsbury's murder, a charge he has denied.
The Epoch Times: Lockdown Lifted for Ontario High School After Reports of Suspect With Knife
Kipling Collegiate Institute in Toronto was briefly on lockdown due to reports of someone with a knife, but it was lifted when no suspect was found. Ontario has seen several school lockdowns in recent months due to incidents like a student with a water gun resembling a firearm and reports of a suspicious individual in the area. The Toronto District School Board explains that a lockdown means all students are in their classrooms with doors locked and the lights off, while a hold and secure is when outer doors are locked and no one is allowed to enter or exit the building.

The New American: U.S. Professional Rugby League Allows Male to Compete Against Females - The New American
A biological male who identifies as female has been allowed to compete in America’s Premier Rugby Sevens League, despite regulations forbidding men competing against women due to their biological advantages. Emma Farnan is listed as a Prop, one of the two largest players on the team, a role which uses size, weight, and strength to win the ball. Women’s Rugby Comp has accused Farnan of holding back in competition as part of a political agenda and has warned that allowing a mediocre male athlete to compete against women sends a dangerous message.
National Review: Biological Differences between Men and Women Matter in Sports
Should schools keep sports separate by biological sex or allow students to compete based on one’s gender identity? Many states such as Connecticut are allowing biological males to compete against females while other states such as West Virginia and Idaho are facing lawsuits for standing up for women and girls in sports. The sex-based anatomical and physiological differences between males and females give males athletic advantages when compared to similarly aged, gifted, and trained females — no matter the age range.
