The Epoch Times: Queensland Government Tells Miners to Stop Complaining About Sky High Royalties
Queensland mining companies have spoken out against the state’s coal taxes, claiming that they are pushing away record foreign investment. The council has launched a campaign to raise awareness about the impact of the tax reform on the sector’s new investments and jobs, estimating that two billion dollars’ worth of investments already canceled. Government has defended its policy and introduced an $8.2 billion cost of living relief package for households.
Queensland’s mining companies are protesting the state’s high coal tax. The Queensland Resources Council has warned that high taxes could result in the cancellation of new projects worth over $100 billion. Japanese investors have also criticized the taxes, warning of potential declines in the partnership between Australia and Japan. Local mining companies are only one of the critics of the new tax reform. Treasurer Cameron Dick stated that the coal industry should display respect towards people who are having difficulty with high mortgage rates and inflation. The Queensland government has introduced an $8.2 billion cost of living relief package for households in response.
Fox News: How the Trump indictment puts our country on trial
The country is divided as many Trump supporters refuse to grapple with the serious offenses of which former President Trump is accused in the indictment, choosing instead to demonize the Justice Department and FBI. The indictment accuses Trump of obstruction and mishandling classified documents, with evidence provided by his own lawyers and aides. The stress test for our country is whether Americans can view law and order objectively, or succumb to deep-seated suspicion and partisanship.
Fox News: Marjorie Taylor Greene announces bill to defund Special Counsel Jack Smith, derail investigation of Trump
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene will introduce a measure to remove funding for special counsel Jack Smith's office and investigation into former President Donald Trump. Greene argues that Smith's investigation is politically motivated and claims there is a double standard between Trump and Democrats who also removed classified material. She also referenced Biden's handling of classified documents, which are being investigated by Special Counsel Robert Hur. Rep. Andy Biggs suggested using the Holman Rule to defund the DOJ's efforts during the appropriations process. Trump is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Miami, Florida on 37 charges connected to his handling of classified documents.
The Federalist: Pro-Abortion City Councils Restrict Pro-Life Free Speech
Pro-life advocates are suing the city of Carbondale, Illinois, over restrictive speech zones that make it difficult for them to operate. The city council voted unanimously to establish a buffer zone around "health care" clinics, including abortion facilities, and sidewalk counselors offering information on free services and support to pregnant women have been told where they can and cannot stand, what they can and cannot wear, that smiling and waving are prohibited, and most egregiously that a volunteer couldn’t pass out copies of the Holy Bible. The lawsuit seeks to reinstate free speech rights and set a national precedent for pro-life sidewalk advocates.
Since the overturning of Roe v. Wade last year, Carbondale in southern Illinois has welcomed several abortion facilities and a mega Planned Parenthood is currently under construction. Coalition Life says that 82% of abortion clients are from out of state, and abortion-minded women driving from several hours away are responding to sidewalk counselors and turning around. The city council attempts to enforce regulations, effectively creating a "bubble zone" outside abortion facilities. In Hill v. Colorado, the U.S. Supreme Court said protesters could not engage in any acts of physical violence and must stay outside of a 50-foot buffer zone. In a post-Dobbs world, any constitutional right to an abortion has been overturned and should be dominated by the right to free speech.
Front Page Magazine: One Law for Republicans and Another for Democrats (VIDEO)
America has two sets of laws: one that is written and one that is unwritten. The written laws are selectively enforced while the unwritten laws of politics are the only ones that truly matter. This leads to politically selective enforcement of existing laws, where only Republicans get tickets and Democrats don't. The First Amendment is threatened by this selective prosecution and civil rights law has largely displaced the Bill of Rights.

The Epoch Times: Supreme Court Won’t Review Decision Banning Confederate Flag License Plates
The Supreme Court refused to hear an appeal to reinstate North Carolina’s specialty license plates that display the Confederate flag. Confederate symbols are being removed from the public square due to their link to slavery, racism, and white privilege. The Sons of Confederate Veterans petitioned for their plates to be reinstated, arguing that they are non-political and honor the sacrifices of Confederate soldiers. North Carolina urged the Supreme Court not to take up the appeal, arguing that specialty license plate designs constitute government speech and that states are entitled to refuse to issue plates featuring designs they find offensive. The Supreme Court did not provide a reason for its decision.
PJ Media: The Morning Briefing: Pride Month Week Two—We're Clearly Not Being 'Phobic' Enough
Pride Month is in full swing, and the LGBTQ+ Mob is out in force, pushing their agenda on children at events. Many conservatives, including Stephen Kruiser, are fed up with the Rainbow assault and want to become louder in their opposition. Parents taking their children to Pride events has long been a disturbing aspect of the groomer era, and Kruiser urges conservatives to denounce the disgusting celebration and become more vocal in pushing back against it.

The Federalist: Kids Learn Virtue And Truth By Embracing The Great Outdoors
American children spend 4-9 hours daily on screens. Childhood screen use lacks self-control, virtue, and inhibits the formation of people in public schools. Open doors to real outdoor play, free movement, and self-forgetfulness. Young minds can develop in harmony with nature and express freedom and beauty learned from the natural world. Make an introduction to the outdoor lifestyle, set good boundaries around screen time, and offer gifts of nature to cultivate self-control and free thinking.
