The Blaze: CNN reporter tries to slam McCarthy over Trump's handling of classified docs — but McCarthy turns the tables on the liberal cable network
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy criticized CNN's selective outrage over the alleged weaponization of government power and access. McCarthy specifically called out CNN for its hiring of former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, who was fired after leaking sensitive information to the media and lying about his actions. He also targeted the network's decision to hire former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, who helped spread disinformation about the Hunter Biden laptop. McCarthy argued that by hiring individuals who had engaged in such behavior, CNN itself was weaponizing networks, and that this was inappropriate.
Flag And Cross: Leftist Lawmaker Claimed a Conservative Protester Punched Him - Then Video Came Out and He Changed His Tune
Canadian politician Joel Harden claimed he was punched in the face by a conservative at a protest in Ontario, but no footage of the attack has emerged. Harden, a Legislative Assembly of Ontario member, then amended his story to say a female protester knocked a megaphone into his face, leaving it cut, though no video has surfaced to support his claim. Five people were arrested at the event, held due to opposition to gender and sexual identity being taught in schools, but the reasons and sides of the arrests are unclear. Harden's NDP is the most left-wing of Canada's three major political parties.
Forbes: Trump Couldn’t Find New Lawyers For Arraignment, Reports Say
Former President Donald Trump will reportedly be represented by two existing attorneys - Todd Blanche, who had already said he would serve as his defense counsel in the documents case, and Christopher Kise, a Florida attorney who has already been serving on Trump's legal team - when he is arraigned on 37 felony counts in court in Miami. Multiple attorneys have reportedly declined to represent Trump, citing his "difficult" reputation and history of using attorneys as "attack dogs or political aides," refusing to heed legal advice and not paying his legal bills. It's still unclear who will eventually end up representing Trump.
Newsbusters: Ruhle Rewrites History, Attacks GOP 'Misinformation' On Hillary's Server
Stephanie Ruhle fact-checked Republicans comparing Trump’s indictment to other classified document scandals. She left out important information and rewrote the law when defending the decision not to charge Hillary Clinton for her email server. Ruhle used the segment to sponsor Walgreens.
Daily Wire: Freshman Republican Lawmaker Files To Impeach Biden Over ‘Illicit Family Business Dealings’
Tennessee Rep. Andy Ogles filed articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. Ogles claims Biden abused his power, covered up family business dealings, and misused taxpayer resources, while Harris failed to secure the southern border. Ogles accuses the Department of Justice of not taking action against the Biden family, calling it up to Congress to hold him accountable. Ogles also accuses Harris of being Biden's accomplice.
Fox News: Mexico City's mayor resigns to launch bid to become country's first elected female president
Mexico City Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum, a member of the leftist National Regeneration Movement (Morena) party, will step down on Friday to pursue the ruling party's candidacy for the 2024 presidential election, hoping to become the country's first female leader. Sheinbaum is one of the two favorites for the nomination and is heavily favored to win the June 2024 presidential election. She made history in 2018 by becoming the first elected female and Jewish mayor of Mexico City.
Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador cannot seek re-election due to the law restricting Mexican presidents to a single six-year term. Some of his aides say he would like Sheinbaum to succeed him, but he denies having any favorite. Sheinbaum has cited a poll showing that over two-thirds of Mexicans strongly backed a woman holding the presidency and says it's time for women to lead.
The Federalist: McCarthy Torches CNN For Hiring Hoaxers McCabe, Clapper
Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy confronted a CNN reporter over the network hiring former FBI Director Andrew McCabe and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper after they leaked classified information and interfered in the 2020 presidential election. McCarthy criticized the media's double standard for not holding politicians accountable for clear corruption while pursuing political persecution against former President Trump. He emphasized the need for equal justice and to restore true justice in the American bureaucracy.
Red State: The Workforce Protections Committee Puts the Screws on Julie Su as Her Nom to Secretary of Labor Languishes
Democrats remain optimistic about Julie Su's nomination for labor secretary, but Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has yet to bring the nomination to the floor amid signs that Su's nomination is on life support due to a lack of support from Democratic Senators. An ace in the hole to get Su over the finish line may be Sen. Lisa Murkowski, but so far, she appears hesitant to cross the aisle. The Democrats' push to get Su confirmed may be in part due to their struggles to push through the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act, legislation that would radically overhaul the country's economy for the worse, and which left-leaning lawmakers reintroduced after failing to pass previously.
Washington Free Beacon: House Republicans Order Hunter Biden’s Ex-Business Partner To Testify
House Republicans subpoenaed Hunter Biden's former business partner, Devon Archer, in their probe of the Biden family's foreign business dealings. Archer played a role in the Biden family's business deals abroad, including in China, Russia, and Ukraine. House Republicans are probing any possible corruption and have demanded Archer sit for a deposition this week.
Biden is the focus of other investigations, including a federal investigation into the purchase of a firearm he made while using drugs and a probe by the Internal Revenue Service over his taxes. Two whistleblowers from the IRS have come forward to say Biden is receiving special treatment in the investigation.
Daily Wire: Conservative Outlets Face Cyberattacks After Reporting On Alleged Recordings Of Joe And Hunter Biden
Conservative news outlets including The Post Millennial, the DC Enquirer, and Human Events were targeted with DDoS cyberattacks just minutes after reporting on the news that a foreign national who allegedly bribed Joe and Hunter Biden has audio recordings of his conversations with them. Sen. Chuck Grassley said the FBI possesses a file containing 15 recordings of conversations between a Burisma executive and Hunter Biden and two recordings between the executive and then-Vice President Joe Biden. Grassley dropped the bombshell during a Senate floor speech Monday, saying, "These recordings were allegedly kept as a sort of insurance policy for the foreign national in case he got into a tight spot." (Hash tag: )
The attack on The Post Millennial, Human Events, the Bongino Report, and the DC Enquirer may be related to the GOP report about Biden's recordings, suggested Tim Pool. Conservative political commentator Dan Bongino said his website, the Bongino Report, was "under a relentless DDoS attack," but he connected the breach to a show he did earlier in the day when he discussed leftist billionaire philanthropist George Soros. As of Tuesday morning, all four conservative websites appeared to be running normally, and the Biden/Burisma alleged bribery scheme remained a top story on them. (Hash tag: )
The Epoch Times: Republican Lawmaker Warns Trump Supporters About Falling Into DOJ Trap
Rep. Clay Higgins warns conservative Americans not to fall for the DOJ/FBI trap and react to the probe by protesting against former President Donald Trump's latest indictment. He believes that the DOJ/FBI would like to have "J6 again" and imprison Trump supporters. Meanwhile, a new Gallup poll showed that more Americans considered themselves to be conservative on social issues since 2012. Among Republicans, more respondents said they were socially conservative, and Trump leads the GOP pack in the 2024 race for the White House.
National Review: The Corner: Trump Argument No. 3: The Hillary Clinton Precedent
Former President Donald Trump's argument that he is being selectively prosecuted for crimes similar to those Hillary Clinton committed is not entirely wrong, but it is overstated. Selective prosecution works best as an argument against being charged, but once the prosecutor rejects the argument and charges the defendant, selective prosecution loses much of its forcefulness as a legal argument. At trial, the court will likely preclude Trump from turning his case into a trial of Clinton. The problem with pressing the Hillary precedent is that it is unworkable and gets the problem exactly backwards. It is wrong that Clinton was not prosecuted for crimes similar to Trump's. The country can't be protected if we can't keep secrets. It is essential to national security to criminalize the exposure of secrets, and it is specious to assert that mishandling classified documents should not be a crime absent proof of intent to harm the United States.
The cure for the double standard is to demonstrate that henceforth, we are committed to a single standard of justice that is applicable to both political sides and the powerful as well as the powerless. One way to do that is to have a simultaneous investigation of President Biden for his apparent decades of recklessness in mishandling classified information and the Biden family’s influence-peddling scheme. Congress should require the Justice Department and the FBI to provide similar information about Biden as the Trump indictment provides about the Mar-a-Lago documents. The FBI and the DOJ cannot credibly say that disclosing this information would compromise an ongoing investigation of Biden, and Ergo, the FBI and the DOJ should disclose the requested information. Finally, the contention that the Biden Justice Department is so politicized that its prosecutions are illegitimate, like its Obama-Biden forebear, is playing with fire and can result in people no longer believing we have a legitimate justice system.

Fox News: Target stores received bomb threats accusing retailer of betraying LGBTQ community amid woke backlash: reports
Target stores in at least five states received bomb threats last weekend related to their handling of LGBTQ Pride merchandise. Initially, conservatives were upset by the prominent displays, but subsequent safety concerns led Target to scale back the presentation, enraging members of the LGBTQ community. The threats cited Target's perceived “betrayal” and "cowardice" in response to resistance from “far right extremists who want to exterminate us." No explosives were found, and Target did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The retailer's market cap has fallen over $15.7bn since the backlash began last month.
PJ Media: Johns Hopkins University Is Literally Erasing Women to Be More 'Inclusive'
Johns Hopkins University has redefined "lesbian" in a way that erases women under the guise of inclusivity. The university's LGBTQ Glossary now defines a "lesbian" as "a non-man attracted to non-men," which includes non-binary individuals. However, the definition of a "gay man" has not been changed. This effort to be inclusive panders to the transgender movement, which has become the most celebrated subset of the LGBTQ community, at the expense of women.
Fox News: Relatives of 4 Amazon plane crash survivors fight for custody as the resilient siblings remain hospitalized
Four Colombian Indigenous siblings, aged one to 13, survived a plane crash in the Amazon rainforest and were found 40 days later. The children are currently hospitalized, and their relatives are in a custody battle over who should care for them after their mother died in the crash. Colombia's child protection agency is interviewing family members to make a decision. Officials have not ruled out the possibility of domestic abuse in the family.
The children were found after eating cassava flour, seeds, and fruits in the forest. They were familiar with the area as members of the Huitoto Indigenous group. The eldest child reported their mother was alive for four days after the crash, and relatives are sharing harrowing details of the children's time in the jungle. The children will remain in the hospital for several more days.
The Epoch Times: On This Dad’s Day, Let’s Polish Up Fatherhood
Traditional fatherhood is often overshadowed by mothers who play a bigger role in their children's lives. The U.S. has the largest number of single-parent households in the world, with many fathers missing in action. This Father's Day, it's time for a change. Even those who have strained or broken relationships with their fathers can celebrate fatherhood as an ideal and acknowledge that all of us were born of a mother and father. Fathers should also take this opportunity to reflect on their performance and look for ways to be better fathers. Mothers, children, and even those whose fathers have passed away can also play a role in rebuilding the importance of fatherhood.

Human Events: China opens talks with Honduras, promises debt relief
Honduras and China are beginning trade talks after recently establishing diplomatic relations. Honduras hopes to reduce their debt by promoting their products in the Chinese market and receiving policy support and facilitation. However, China is also making moves in other Central American countries, including El Salvador, where they have established free trade talks, while Guatemala remains committed to Taiwan. China has urged Honduras to recognize the "One-China" principle, which suggests that Taiwan should not be recognized as a separate entity. The situation highlights ongoing tensions between China and Taiwan.
American Thinker: COVID-19: A 'biological 9/11'
Former congressional staffer and geopolitical analyst Brandon Weichert argues that COVID-19 was a bioweapon unleashed by China to remove Donald Trump, citing evidence from a 2015 document by People's Army officials. Weichert provides an in-depth history of how the Wuhan Lab became a bioweapons producer, despite being designated for civilian research, and the machinations and domestic factors that enabled the virus to wreak havoc on the US. Weichert warns that the same labs involved in coronavirus research are now working on developing a smallpox vaccine, potentially leading to a Chinese-produced Biological 9/11 involving smallpox.

The Epoch Times: Why Are Beef Prices Soaring?
Beef prices are rising due to cattle inventories being at their lowest level in over 60 years and a drought that has hit many beef-producing states. This has led to increased costs for cattle producers, making it more expensive to produce beef. The overall economy, including high fuel prices and labor shortages, has also contributed to higher beef prices.

Swift's latest single, "Karma," featuring Ice Spice, reached No. 2 on the charts but was unable to oust Morgan Wallen's "Last Night" from the top spot.

National Review: The Corner: Our 28th and 29th Presidents
Bob Graboyes argues that the idea of presidents who expand federal power being taught as good and those who don't being taught as bad is flawed. Harding pardoned Eugene Debs, reduced government scope and expense and didn't get the US into any wars, making him the superior of Woodrow Wilson. Harding gave an important speech on racial equality, where he called for democracy and equality, which was significant due to the high amount of Klan activity. The economy was left to recover on its own after the 1921 recession, which has been praised for several decades.

The Epoch Times: Biden Admin Asks for Billions More to Combat Post-Pandemic 'Loneliness' in American Youth
Loneliness, depression, and anxiety are reaching epidemic levels amongst young Americans, and the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor & Pensions held a hearing to address this rising mental health crisis. Suicide is the second leading cause of death among America's young people aged 10-14 and the third leading cause among American teenagers. The root cause of this rapid epidemic appears to be an increasing sense of loneliness and isolation, plus the increase in social media usage among young people.

Two active-duty Marines, Joshua Abate and Dodge Dale Hellonen, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges related to storming the US Capitol on January 6. Both Abate and Hellonen will be sentenced in September, and face a maximum of six months imprisonment. While most Capitol rioters were military veterans, only a few were actively serving in the armed forces when they joined a mob's attack.
A third active-duty Marine, Micah Coomer, who was also charged with the same crimes as Abate and Hellonen, pleaded guilty to the same misdemeanor in May and is scheduled to be sentenced on August 30. The Marines were still in service as of May 19, and no additional information was available Monday. The three men were arrested in January and identified in videos and photos of the January 6 attacks.

The Epoch Times: Picnics at Montreal's Unique Plane-Spotting Park Risk Bird Strikes: Airport
Montreal’s airport is cracking down on picnics at its plane-spotting park due to fears that hungry birds could cause collisions with landing or departing aircraft. The park has become increasingly popular, leading to picnics, which are strictly prohibited for safety reasons. The airport has launched a campaign to explain the dangers of picnicking, with special constables increasing surveillance, and if the situation worsens, the park may have to close. Bird strikes have been linked to crashes in Canada, including one that killed a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force’s Snowbirds demonstration team in 2020.
The park’s location along the runway makes it particularly dangerous for bird strikes, which are most common during takeoff and landing. People have been warned of the risks involved with feeding birds and picnicking, and the airport is trying to avoid tragic incidents by cracking down on picnics, increasing surveillance, and warning park-goers about the risk of collisions with landing or departing aircraft. Some people do not seem to understand the rule against picnics, and if the situation worsens, the airport may have to close the park due to safety concerns.
