Fox News: Texas congressman proposes DNA testing to determine illegal alien's family ties to a minor
Texas congressman proposes DNA testing to determine illegal alien's family ties to a minor
Texas Rep. Lance Gooden is introducing the "End Child Trafficking Now Act" that requires a DNA test to determine family relation between an illegal migrant and a minor to combat human trafficking at the border. The bill comes as over 81,000 unaccompanied or single minors were encountered at the southern border this fiscal year. Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn will reintroduce her bill mandating 10-year sentences for adults who fabricate family ties to minors and criminalizing "child recycling." DNA testing was previously utilized by ICE under the Trump administration.

The HHS's Office of Refugee Resettlement has been criticized for trafficking minors and the White House has authorized $14 million to staff the Homeland Security's Center for Countering Human Trafficking with at least 45 employees. Acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker said the DNA testing helps prevent children from being used as props to gain entry. The Flores Settlement requires DHS and HHS to share responsibility for migrant children and provide them with access to emergency services, shelter, and food. After less than a month, migrant children are given to sponsors, released, or transferred to adult facilities.

The Scandalous Life and Career of Silvio Berlusconi
Silvio Berlusconi, Italy's former prime minister, died at the age of 86. Berlusconi was known for his controversial political and personal life, which included a sex scandal involving an underage dancer, tax fraud allegations, and his close ties with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Despite these scandals, Berlusconi remained a powerful political figure until his death. His legacy is mixed, with some praising him for his contributions to Italy's media and real estate industries and others blaming him for the country's economic struggles and patriarchal society.

Tony Award Presenter Calls DeSantis A KKK Leader. Lefty Theater Crowd Goes Wild.
Tony Awards presenter Denée Benton compared Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to a Ku Klux Klan leader during a live broadcast, causing laughter from the audience. Benton cited DeSantis' opposition to Critical Race Theory and his signing of bills that limit DEI initiatives in Florida's education system as reasons for the comparison. DeSantis has faced backlash from the Left for his stances on these issues.

American Thinker: 'Walmart Melania' and the cheap-shot leftist media
'Walmart Melania' and the cheap-shot leftist media
The Daily Beast's Katie Baker wrote a hit piece against Florida's first lady, Casey DeSantis, comparing her to Melania Trump and calling her a "wannabe" Jackie Kennedy. Baker criticized DeSantis's fashion choices and policy decisions, failing to recognize her accomplishments as first lady, such as supporting foster families and volunteering during Hurricane Ian. Baker's bias is evident, unfairly targeting DeSantis because of her political beliefs.

Foreign Policy: Rishi Sunak’s Government Is Anti-Asylum
Rishi Sunak’s Government Is Anti-Asylum
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak plans to pass a law banning people from seeking refuge in the United Kingdom if they escape conflict, persecution, or famine. Those who enter the UK through an illegal route will be detained and swiftly deported to a "safe country" such as Rwanda, and banned from ever stepping foot in the UK again. Activists fear that this policy might lead to far-right and conservative politicians in other European countries to call for similar measures that will weaken protections granted to asylum seekers in Europe.

Sunak Says He Refused Johnson's Request to Overrule House of Lords on Vetoed Honours Names
The House of Lords Appointments Commission vetoed eight names from Boris Johnson’s resignation honours list. The list included seven nominees for life peerages and 38 people for knighthoods, MBEs and OBEs. On Monday, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak accused Johnson of asking him to “do something I wasn’t prepared to do,” possibly related to the vetoed nominees. The prime minister faces multiple by-elections following Johnson and former culture secretary Nadine Dorries’ resignations. The opposition Labour Party hopes to win Johnson’s Uxbridge seat, while the Liberal Democrats aim for victories in Mid-Bedfordshire and Selby & Ainsty.

Broadway actress calls Ron DeSantis 'Grand Wizard' during Tony Awards presentation
Broadway actress Denée Benton called Florida Governor Ron DeSantis a Ku Klux Klan leader during the Tony Awards, causing the crowd to cheer. She was giving the Excellence in Theatre Education Award from Carnegie Mellon University when she made the political attack. Benton also referred to an award winner from Plantation, Florida. The NAACP issued a travel advisory for Florida in May, criticizing the governor for trying to "erase Black history" and "restrict diversity, equity, and inclusion programs in Florida schools." Governor DeSantis has repeatedly stepped into the culture wars, particularly regarding education and parental rights. He signed SB266, which prevents any public university from using state funding to pay for DEI programs, and grants University Presidents more authority over hiring practices.

American Thinker: Trump surges in CBS poll
Trump surges in CBS poll
A CBS News poll shows former President Trump leading potential Republican primary opponents with 61% support, a 38-point lead over Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. The poll suggests Trump's indictment for allegedly mishandling classified documents has not affected his support base. Republican primary voters feel the indictment is politically motivated and, in itself, does not disqualify Trump from re-running for President in 2024. Democrats' selective prosecution of him could bring more votes to his cause.

Fox News: GOP hopeful Ramaswamy seeks communications between DOJ and White House over Trump indictment
GOP hopeful Ramaswamy seeks communications between DOJ and White House over Trump indictment
Vivek Ramaswamy wants the communication between the White House and the Justice Department concerning Donald Trump's indictment. Ramaswamy wants to know exactly what was said and believes that Americans deserve the information. Ramaswamy would pardon Trump on day one if he became president and believes the issue is politicized and requires more attention.

National Review: South Florida Law Enforcement on ‘High Alert’ for Violence Ahead of Trump Arraignment
South Florida Law Enforcement on ‘High Alert’ for Violence Ahead of Trump Arraignment
Former President Donald Trump is set to appear at a Miami federal court to face 37 counts relating to his handling of classified documents. Trump has called the case “THE GREATEST WITCH HUNT OF ALL TIME” and his allies are calling the indictment politically motivated. Republican Congressman Clay Higgins has tweeted for Trump supporters to be ready for a “perimeter probe from the oppressors”. Radicalisation expert Jeff Sharlet has warned that this is “a congressman calling for the real thing”.

Authorities are working to boost security in South Florida ahead of Trump’s court appearance on Tuesday; with deep concerns over potential violence and protests. Republican Congressman Andy Biggs posted on Twitter saying, “We have now reached a war phase. Eye for an eye.” Kimberly Guilfoyle posted a picture of the former president on Instagram that said, “RETRIBUTION IS COMING.” Conservative radio host Pete Santilli called for every US Marine to throw President Biden into “zip ties in the back of a freakin’ pickup truck”. Miami-Dade police will not be allowed Tuesday off and plainclothes detectives have been asked to wear their uniforms in case they need to be deployed.

Red State: Moore to the Point - The Truth Isn't out There
Moore to the Point - The Truth Isn't out There
The public is being lied to by the media, government, and experts, leading to confusion and distrust. People exist in information silos, making it hard to have productive conversations across differing viewpoints. Truth should be an external, fixed point and people should anchor themselves in it.

Spectator USA: The Ukrainian counteroffensive, explained
The Ukrainian counteroffensive, explained
The Ukrainian counteroffensive has begun, with fighting focussed on several key areas. While there is little information on events unfolding on the battlefield, both sides are spinning for all they are worth, and footage of modern armor being destroyed is circulating on social media. So far, the Russian morale seems stronger than expected and their airpower is more visible and effective than in the past. The Ukrainians still have most of their modern units in reserve, and are quicker and better at improvising their plans to respond to challenges and opportunities. Early casualty and loss reports from both sides should be treated with caution, as they are engaged in calculating the political impacts of their claims.

Carlson's popularity surpasses his former employer's, with 59% of likely U.S. voters holding a favorable view of Carlson, according to a Rasmussen Reports poll. Only 52% view Fox News favorably. Carlson's Twitter show faces opposition, but his audience and influence remain strong.
