The Epoch Times: Presidential Records Act, Not Espionage Act, Applies to Classified Records Indictment Against Trump: Attorney
Presidential Records Act, Not Espionage Act, Applies to Classified Records Indictment Against Trump: Attorney
Former President Donald Trump's attorney, Jesse Binnall, has said that the indictment being pursued against Trump by the Biden Administration over classified records will not hold up against the law. Binnall states that Congress has been clear that the act that applies to Presidents and former Presidents is the Presidential Records Act, while everyone else is under the Espionage Act, which has different requirements. Trump is unable to be charged under the Espionage Act that the Department of Justice is pursuing, Binnall added. The DOJ alleges that Trump violated the Espionage Act and other laws after some classified documents were found in his Mar-a-Lago estate last summer. He allegedly had the right to declassify those records as President.

The chairmen are seeking any communications and documents related to the now-debunked statement which discredited the New York Post’s bombshell story implicating Joe Biden in his son Hunter’s business dealings.

Jonathan Turley: Trump Could Face 'Terminal Sentence' If DOJ Proves 1 Count
DOJ indicts former President Donald Trump on dozens of charges in connection to allegedly mishandling classified documents. He faces allegations of violating the Espionage Act, making false statements, and obstructing justice. Legal experts say that even if he is found guilty, he can still run for president, but if the federal government proves even just one count, it could be a "terminal sentence" for him. The former president is scheduled to be arraigned at a Miami court on Tuesday after departing his New Jersey residence and heading to Florida. He has repeatedly proclaimed his innocence and said he would not drop out of the 2024 race no matter what.

Whitlock: Joe Biden’s ‘nation of pride’ will inevitably collapse
America's prideful and ignorant culture is leading to its destruction. President Joe Biden tweeted that "America is a nation of pride" above a picture of a rainbow flag at the White House, but pride is a deadly sin and gateway drug to idolatry according to the Bible. Black, LGBTQ, and Jewish pride currently dominate American culture, and their shared goal is a new world order, a one-world government. Pride promotes division, idolatry, and cancel culture, with accusations of racism, homophobia, and anti-Semitism preventing exploration of healing truth. A nation of pride will not last.

Senator Michael MacDonald has questioned why China is classified with the same travel risk rating as Belgium and the United Kingdom. He raised concerns about the Chinese Communist Party's involvement in hostage takings and arbitrary detention of more than 120 Canadians in China, including the detention of Michael Spavor and Michael Kovrig in 2018. The government website advises Level Two travelers to “exercise a high degree of caution,” and MacDonald questioned how travel advisories were categorized. Honduras has officially joined China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), following the country's decision to break ties with long-time ally Taiwan. President Xi Jinping and President Xiomara Castro signed 17 bilateral agreements linking Honduras to BRI projects. China's BRI is controversial due to its "debt trap" loans which require countries to pay Chinese companies for infrastructure projects under unfavorable terms, eventually leading to inability to repay and allowing China to take over the projects or exert pressure and influence on countries. China has also expressed a willingness to sign a free trade agreement with Honduras and hopes to promote BRI projects throughout Latin America.

Foreign Policy: The New Washington Consensus on Trade Is Wrong
The New Washington Consensus on Trade Is Wrong
The Biden administration's shift toward protectionism as the primary objective for international economic policy threatens the US and global economy. The historical evidence shows that liberalized trade is central to economic growth, delivering tremendous value to American consumers and lifting 1 billion people out of extreme poverty. Biden's protectionist moves will fuel higher inflation, and a "green jobs" agenda comes with significant downside risk. Companies will push to expand government subsidies, and sectors dominated by subsidized firms will see less innovation and disruption. The US should instead deepen trade relations with key partners to check China's power, not abandon free trade.

Fox News reports that the Dodgers team has apologised for the initial decision to withdraw the invitation, meeting the group and local lawmakers, and has re-invited the group to accept a Community Hero Award at the event.

The condition, known as myosteatosis, can lead to cognitive decline and there is currently no cure for the disease. Clinicians should be aware about the importance of regional adiposity accumulating in the skeletal muscle, which may be an important, novel risk factor for cognitive decline in black and white participants independent of traditional dementia risk factors. Obesity and loss of muscle mass are emerging as risk factors for dementia and reducing muscle adiposity is being explored as a possible preventative measure. With no cure in sight, there is increasing focus on protective lifestyles.
