The Federalist Papers: GOP Presidential Candidate Teaches CNN Anchor How to Do Her Job in Heated Interview
GOP Presidential Candidate Teaches CNN Anchor How to Do Her Job in Heated Interview
Republican Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy admonished CNN anchor Dana Bash for failing to investigate leads and find the truth during their interview discussing the federal indictment of former President Donald Trump. The segment showcased how biased the media is towards the Democratic Party. Ramaswamy reminded Bash and the media that journalists should investigate whether the directive to investigate Trump came from President Joe Biden himself and not just blindly take their word for it.

Red State: Biden's ATF Just Turned 29 Million Law Abiding American Gun Owners Into Felons Overnight
Biden's ATF Just Turned 29 Million Law Abiding American Gun Owners Into Felons Overnight
A majority of AR-15-style pistol owners have rejected the extensive regulations imposed by President Biden's administration. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) had set a deadline for the registration of the firearms by May 31st. Only a small percentage of owners have complied with the rule, with millions of braces now required to be detached, registered, or destroyed. The resistance to gun registration is the largest pro-gun protest in history, with the movement potentially leading to Second Amendment legal battles in the Supreme Court.

Fox News: Biden would veto GOP bill protecting access to pistol braces
Biden would veto GOP bill protecting access to pistol braces
President Biden will veto a Republican bill that restricts his administration's plans to regulate pistol braces. The measure introduced by Rep. Andrew Clyde, R-Ga., puts a halt to an ATF rule announced in January that places regulations on stabilizing braces for pistols. The White House has argued this reclassification is necessary because the gun industry uses braces to work around regulations on short-barreled rifles, which shoot more accurately.

The House GOP measure that disapproves of the ATF rule has 188 cosponsors. Several pro-gun groups have challenged the rule in court. These critics note the ATF initially approved pistol braces as a simple firearm attachment, often used by disabled gun-owners who can only use one arm to shoot. Clyde said when he announced his resolution in March, "Unquestionably, this is nothing more than a reckless attempt to advance President Biden's ultimate goal of an unarmed America."

Fox News: Maine eyes ranked choice voting for gubernatorial elections
Maine eyes ranked choice voting for gubernatorial elections
The Maine Legislature is considering expanding its ranked choice voting system to include gubernatorial elections. Maine and Alaska are the only states to elect governors using this system. Supporters say it could prevent "spoiler" candidates and promote cooperation and political moderation. Conservative groups argue that it overcomplicates voting and violates the traditional one-person-one-vote principle. The proposal has passed a key committee and is expected to face a vote in the state Legislature soon. It would require a two-thirds majority to pass and the direct approval of a majority of state voters to become law.

‘Schizophrenic’ Transgender Student Terrorized Top Law School, Ranted About ‘Gavel Dildos,’ Sex With ‘Trumpies’ In His Own Law Journal
Northwestern School of Law admitted a transgender student who dismissed diagnoses of mental disorders as coming from a “white bitch” psychiatrist in “Amerikkka,” and subsequently cursed out a feminist law professor and sent bizarre emails to all students. The law school gave the student, Ishani Chokshi, his own law journal, which published his screeds likening judges’ gavels to “dildos”. The publication of his "legal" paper detailing his purported sexual escapades with seven men provides insight into the culture that has overtaken top law schools .

If You Are Struggling to Define 'Woke,' a Viral Ad From RedBalloon Makes it Child's Play
The term "woke" is not indefinable and refers to an ideology that views people as individual atoms and divides society into oppressors and oppressed. It requires full-throated support and anyone who opposes it is accused of being oppressive. This ideology has infiltrated not only public schools but also workplaces where employees are expected to engage in leftist activism and where saying the wrong thing can lead to confession sessions. A viral ad by RedBallon makes fun of the absurdity of this state of affairs, even resonating with those who are typically apolitical.

UN Official Warns Of The ‘Increasing Trend’ Toward Trans Activist Violence
UN Special Rapporteur warns about violence committed by trans activists and calls for protection of freedom of speech and thought on issues of sex, gender, and gender identity. Recent events including a murder at a school in Tennessee, an assault on a NCAA swimmer, and threatening social media posts demonstrate the growing trend of violence by trans activists aligning with hard-left groups. Women's Declaration International president Kara Dansky was attacked while protesting against trans women convicts being housed in women's prisons.

Breitbart: Chinese State Media Claims Recon Aircraft Monitored U.S. Naval Exercise
Chinese State Media Claims Recon Aircraft Monitored U.S. Naval Exercise
China's state-run Global Times claims a People's Liberation Army spy plane was able to monitor a joint naval drill in the Philippine Sea involving the US, France, Canada, and Japan, and gather valuable intelligence on the ships involved, including the USS Nimitz and USS Ronald Reagan. The Shaanxi Y-9 can be configured for reconnaissance, but the Global Times was vague about what made this particular Y-9 a “new type” of spy plane. The reconnaissance flight plus another aggressive incursion into Taiwan's Air Defense Identification Zone, the Global Times claims, sent an intimidating message about the folly of intervening against a Chinese attack on Taiwan.

The exercise involved “more than 12,000 sailors from across four maritime nations,” including the US and its allies, and was intended as a demonstration of interoperability of forces, readiness to respond to any contingency, and a commitment to uphold freedom of navigation and overflight in the Indo-Pacific region. China claims the two US carriers were operating in waters around the Ryukyu Islands and were of key strategic value in the Taiwan question. Japan claims that the most interesting feature of the Chinese Y-9 spy plane was “a piece of equipment attached to the undercarriage” that has not previously been seen in the field.

US Cracks Down on Flight Training for Chinese Military Pilots
The Biden administration added 43 entities to export control list, including Frontier Services Group Ltd and Test Flying Academy of South Africa, for activities that threaten U.S. national security and training Chinese military pilots. Companies on the list are restricted from receiving U.S. exports for activities deemed contrary to U.S. interests. In addition, companies were added to the list for acquiring U.S.-origin items in support of China's military modernization, including hypersonic weapons development and hypersonic flight modeling.

The Epoch Times: Persistent Inflation, Federal Reserve Rate Hike to Headline the Economic Week
Persistent Inflation, Federal Reserve Rate Hike to Headline the Economic Week
Investors will be watching inflation data and the Federal Reserve's policy meeting this week. The May consumer price index (CPI) report is expected to show the annual print at 4.1%, down from 4.9% in April. Producer prices are also expected to ease to 1.5% YoY. The Federal Open Market Committee is set to meet, and while the futures market is suggesting no rate hike, ING economists say the most likely outcome will be no change to the policy rate, but they highlight that it may require more work from the Federal Reserve to grapple with service inflation.

Ex-Marine Daniel Penny, hailed as a hero for stopping a dangerous man threatening subway passengers, has been charged with second-degree manslaughter and awaits a decision from a grand jury. ‘I Just Couldn't Sit Still’: Daniel Penny Speaks About Subway Chokehold, Death of Jordan Neely
Marine Corps veteran Daniel Penny was charged with manslaughter after he put Jordan Neely in a fatal chokehold on the floor of a northbound F train. Penny says he didn't intend to kill Neely but to protect passengers from him. According to Penny, Neely threatened to kill people on the train, and he acted to protect the frightened passengers. Neely had a long history of severe mental illness and was on New York City's "Top 50" list of the most urgently in need of mental health care. Penny's actions were not racially motivated, and many of the passengers he tried to protect were people of colour.

Flag And Cross: Why You Should Never Rinse Dishes Before Stacking The Dishwasher
Why You Should Never Rinse Dishes Before Stacking The Dishwasher
Experts urge people not to rinse dishes before stacking the dishwasher as it wastes £195 million of water each year. A poll of 2,000 dishwasher owners found 62% always prewash items. Those who pre-rinse pour the equivalent of 95 million liters of cold water down the sink daily, a total of 7.6 billion gallons washed away annually, but 59% justify their actions out of fear of clogging the machine. However, over half of the 38% who don’t rinse argue it’s pointless as items are washed thoroughly in the machine. Other reasons for rinsing include keeping the machine clean, and to ensure no long-term issues or smells occur, while almost a quarter say it’s what they were brought up to do.
