Red State: Oops! Democrats Did It Again - Trump Surges in Polls After Indictment
Former President Donald Trump is far ahead of other contenders for the Republican Presidential nomination, even after being indicted over the handling of classified documents. A recent CBS/YouGov poll shows Trump at 61 percent, with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis trailing far behind at 23 percent. A majority of likely GOP voters (80 percent) also believe that Trump should still be eligible to be president, even if he is convicted on the federal classified documents case. Democrats are reportedly terrified of Trump hitting the campaign trail again, while Joe Biden plans to campaign from his basement.

The Epoch Times: Republicans See Political Motives in Trump Indictment, Others See Security Risk: CBS Poll
Former President Donald Trump has been indicted by the Department of Justice (DOJ), accused of possessing classified documents, in what republicans have called a purely political move. Trump's possession of the documents is seen by some as a national security risk. A CBS poll found that most Republican voters believed the indictment to be politically motivated and said the indictment did not change their opinion on Trump. Republican party members have raised concerns over the DOJ's handling of the case, accusing the agency of political bias and wrongdoing, bringing up allegations against President Joe Biden, and former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, in comparison.
The Federalist Papers: Unexpected Order Stripped Capitol Police of Critical Equipment Weeks Before Jan. 6: Report
Former Capitol Police Lt. Tarik K. Johnson was ordered to confiscate “20 to 30” riot helmets from officers by Captain Ben Smith days before the January 6th Capitol Riots in 2021. Johnson assumed it was because the helmets had expired because "if they were perfectly good helmets, why would you take them?" This was an order that violated equipment protocols on multiple levels. Former Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund was not aware of the confiscation, and questioned the urgency and timing of the confiscation.
Yogananda Pittman, who eventually became the acting police chief after the January 6th Capitol riots, started a new position as the chief of police at the University of California-Berkeley in February. There are still too many unanswered questions about Jan. 6, and those whose lives have been destroyed by the media narrative deserve the truth. And so do the American people.
The Epoch Times: ANALYSIS: Analyzing the Trump Indictment
Special Counsel Jack Smith has unveiled a 38-count indictment of former President Donald Trump and his personal valet, Waltine Nauta. The charges relate to accusations of Trump retaining national defense information and failing to deliver it, as well as making false statements. Trump is charged with having retained and not returned 31 separate documents containing information allegedly relating to foreign countries' nuclear capabilities and US military contingency planning, among other topics. While Trump may have defenses for the Espionage Act charges, the remaining charges, all of which pertain to his response to a grand jury subpoena, are far more perilous for him. The charges include conspiracy to obstruct justice, concealing documents, and making false statements.
Breitbart: Jim Jordan Highlights Abnormalities in FBI Raid on Trump's Home
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) wrote a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland exposing abnormalities in the FBI raid on former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago home last summer, potentially leading to political targeting of Trump by President Joe Biden's Justice Department. Steven D'Antuono, the former assistant director-in-charge of the FBI's Washington Field Office, conveyed the abnormalities to Congress, which include the Miami Field Office not conducting the search, the Justice Department not assigning a U.S. Attorney's Office to the matter, the FBI not first seeking consent to effectuate the search, and the FBI refusing to wait for President Trump's attorney's presence before executing the search. Jordan demanded answers from Garland by June 16, 2023.
The letter from Jordan highlights concerns over Garland's reported politically motivated prosecution against Trump, despite declining to indict other political leaders for mishandling classified information. Jordan's demand for answers follows the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago in which D'Antuono exposed the abnormalities found in the FBI's handling of the matter, leading to grave concerns of political targeting against Trump. Trump Jr. reacted to the raid, stating that the Democrats are "openly targeting their political enemies."

Four Colombian children aged 13, 9, 4 and 1 who are part of the Huitoto Indigenous group survived in the Amazon jungle for 40 days after a plane crash. The eldest child had skills needed to survive and care for the younger siblings alone in the jungle. The children were found with limited supplies and were foraging and navigating the jungle on their own. They survived by eating cassava flour and fruit. The children are receiving treatment at a hospital.
Fox News: Supreme Court won’t review North Carolina decision ending Confederate license plates
North Carolina's decision to stop issuing specialty license plates featuring the Confederate flag will not be reviewed by the Supreme Court, the court confirmed on Monday. The case was brought by the North Carolina chapter of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, which claimed that the state's decision violated state and federal law. Lower courts dismissed the case, and a federal appeals court concurred. North Carolina offers over 200 specialty license plates, but no longer issues ones featuring the Confederate flag.
Fox News: 16 should be minimum age for social media use, parents and experts argue: '13 is too young'
A Wall Street Journal columnist and mother suggests parents should not allow social media for children under 16. Scientific research shows the brain's prefrontal cortex doesn't fully develop until 25, according to Julie Jargon. "Being 16 doesn’t mean going fully free-range on social media, either; after all, we don’t put them on the road without driver’s ed and licenses." Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, a Biden appointee, also said in February that 13 years old is too young for children to use social media, risk-benefits ratio skewed. Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., has pushed to raise the minimum age for social media to 16.
Fox News: Washington Post publisher Fred Ryan leaving newspaper amid staff turnover, financial struggles
Fred Ryan, CEO of the Washington Post for the past nine years, is leaving to lead a nonpartisan foundation, the Center on Public Civility, supported by Jeff Bezos. Ryan stated that he is concerned about the "toxic and corrosive force" of the decline in civility and respectful dialogue in politics, social media and society as a whole. The Post has been dealing with staff turnover and declining digital subscribers, losing approximately one-third of its 3 million digital subscribers since January 2021, leading to speculation that Bezos may be looking for younger leadership.
The Epoch Times: Barbara Kay: NB Premier’s Stance Supporting Parental Rights a Promising Sign
New Brunswick Premier Blaine Higgs has called for a review of LGBTQ policies in schools, allowing parents to be informed of any changes regarding names and pronouns. A majority of Canadian parents agree, but Prime Minister Trudeau has denounced the N.B. government as “far-right political actors” for infringing upon the rights of vulnerable people. As resistance to gender ideology indoctrination in schools grows, retired teacher Carolyn Burjoski has become a catalyst to activate school parents and trustee candidates against wokeness. Burjoski has launched a $1.75 million defamation suit against the Waterloo Region District School Board for censoring her concerns about inappropriate reading materials regarding sexualized content for K-6 students.
Fox News: Crews in Iowa demolish remains of collapsed apartment building
Crews have begun demolishing a six-story apartment building in Davenport, Iowa that collapsed over two weeks ago, killing three people and leaving dozens homeless. The 116-year-old building is believed to contain asbestos and other hazardous materials. The demolition will take several weeks and residents of nearby apartments have been ordered to vacate their homes as a precaution. The collapse has prompted questions regarding why tenants were allowed to remain in the building despite warnings of structural problems.
The Federalist: Unabomber's Crimes Don't Disprove His Diagnosis Of Modernity
Theodore Kaczynski, aka the Unabomber, reportedly died by suicide last week. Despite recent interest in his critiques of modernity, it should not be forgotten that his letter bombings killed innocent people. Kaczynski believed that industrial-technological society was inherently destructive and posed a threat to human freedom and well-being, but his materialist worldview may not sufficiently account for man's relationship with the metaphysical. The control of technology by man depends on remembering the truths about ourselves that make us masters of technology, rather than the other way around.

Breitbart: After Battlefield Losses, Ukraine Tells Germany to Send More Leopard 2s
Ukraine is requesting Germany to send more Leopard 2 main battle tanks and other armored vehicles to the front lines to counter invading Russian forces. Former ambassador to Germany, Andrij Melnyk, is calling for Germany to triple its commitment of tanks without endangering itself. Germany has donated 18 of the tanks so far, but Melnyk says Ukraine most urgently needs more Western battle tanks. Russia claims to have destroyed several German-made Leopard 2 tanks already.

Breitbart: Saudi Energy Minister Post-Blinken Visit: I'm 'Ignoring' U.S. Concerns About China Ties
Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman discussed growing Saudi-China ties, stating that he "ignore[s]" US concerns because of the many opportunities available for growth between the two countries. The Arab-China Business Conference in Riyadh resulted in "$10bn in investment agreements." Saudi Arabia and China have deepening business and political ties, which some believe comes at the expense of its longstanding alliance with the US. The groundbreaking Iran-Saudi deal was brokered in Beijing, where Saudi Arabia is allegedly supporting China’s operations in the Muslim-majority region of Xinjiang in exchange for investment, as well as the involvement of the Saudi Vision 2030 program and the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative.
Breitbart: Joe Biden Returns America to UNESCO with $600 Million Payment
The US has rejoined UNESCO, the international organization dedicated to preserving sites of cultural and historical significance. The country's withdrawal in 2019 under Donald Trump was partly due to allegations that the organization supported Palestinian terrorist groups and criticized Israel. Congress recently granted President Biden waiver powers over the law preventing the funding of United Nations agencies that recognize the Palestine Liberation Organization as a member. Biden's administration is also reportedly concerned about increasing Chinese influence at UNESCO in areas such as technology and global speech laws.
Forbes: It’s Time to Focus on Preventing War with China, Not Preparing for It
The U.S. government is considering military action against China, as officials warn about the "pacing threat" posed by Beijing. "Preparation for war with China industry" is driving such rhetoric, spurred on by the Pentagon and ex-military leaders eager to boost arms spending and weapons development. However, many critics say that military action is not feasible, let alone desirable, and that funding should focus instead on war prevention measures. The Quincy Institute task force suggests a strategy of "active denial," which involves raising costs to China for any military intervention in the region. There must also be a meaningful diplomatic track to avoid devastating losses on all sides, perhaps beginning with reciprocal, credible assurance measures between the two superpowers.

The Epoch Times: Three Steps to Defend Your Retirement Against 'Woke' ESG Investments
Retirement accounts are being impacted by environment, social, and governance (ESG) policies, resulting in stagnant portfolios filled with “woke” investments. Americans are turning to physical precious metals, but there are risks associated with rollover and transfer accounts that few are mentioning. Self-directed IRAs backed by physical precious metals are growing in popularity, with differences in the way these accounts are set up. Genesis Gold Group puts focus on integrity and customer service, and takes a three-step approach to helping Americans protect their wealth from ESG. The White House incentivized financial advisors to promote ESG funds, prioritizing ESG ideology over profits, but even BlackRock is now recommending precious metals investments.
Forbes: The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust Is Testing Key Technical Levels With An Extremely Overbought Weekly Chart. Here’s How To Trade It.
SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY) is testing its quarterly pivot at 430.21 with its annual pivot at 434.40. It has a positive but extremely overbought weekly chart with a stochastic reading of 94.17, indicating that it should not be bought at this time.
Trading strategy for SPY is to buy weakness to its ‘reversion to the mean’ at 380.32 and reduce holdings on strength to its semiannual risky level at 460.29.
The Epoch Times: Stocks Discount Too Much Easing and Optimism
The S&P 500 continues to rise to new highs based solely on multiple expansion, with no improvement in earnings or margins. Analysts are pumping up next-year estimates to justify poor profits this year. Investors are betting on quantitative easing as central banks are expected to remain accommodative. However, inflation remains elevated, and the impact of rate hikes has been limited. Also, a wall of state debt will flood markets in the next two years, which means less liquidity in markets. A correction of over-optimistic stock expectations is almost inevitable.

PJ Media: M10 Booker: Meet the Not-Tank Named After Two Army Heroes
The US Army has named its new combat vehicle, the M10 Booker, after two fallen army heroes. Though it looks, drives, and shoots like a tank, the Army insists it is not a tank, but rather a "mobile protected firepower" designed to bring new firepower and assault capabilities to light infantry formations. The first Bookers will be delivered later this year and boast a turret borrowed from the M1 Abrams, a 105mm gun from the early version of the M1, and serve as the first vehicle named after a service member from any of America's post-9/11 wars.

The Epoch Times: Supreme Court Denies Christian School’s Claim Against Teacher Who Accused It of Racism
The Supreme Court declined to hear the case of a Christian school in Colorado arguing that it cannot be sued for firing a teacher accused of racial bias. The school argued that its religious affiliation put it beyond the reach of the First Amendment to the US Constitution. The case represents the ministerial exception previously affirmed by the Supreme Court in 2020. Gregory Tucker, a former chaplain at Faith Bible Chapel International, claimed that the school fired him for organizing an event on racism.

Flag And Cross: High Levels Of Cholesterol Could Make Women Infertile: Study
Researchers from Houston have discovered that high levels of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol, also known as “good” cholesterol, could be contributing to infertility in women. By using a bacterial protein that reduces cholesterol levels quickly and effectively, the researchers were able to reverse infertility in mice with high levels of HDL. They also discovered that the protein could have the potential to be an alternative to statins in reducing cholesterol levels. By introducing the serum opacity factor protein into the mice, the researchers altered the structure of the cholesterol-carrying HDLs and made the excess cholesterol easier to dispose of. This discovery could help the 20% of women in the US with infertility issues.

The Epoch Times: 3 Years With COVID-19: The Real Story and Its Connection to the Erosion of Democracy
The COVID-19 pandemic has been plagued by false narratives, including the origin of the virus, risk assessment, overdiagnosis, overreaction, the vaccine, unprecedented challenges to medicine, science, and ethics, fear and manipulation, and the destruction of democracy. These narratives have resulted in harmful side effects, violations of civil rights and human liberties, and a loss of public trust. The failure of health care authorities to listen to scientific and medical professionals has resulted in a significant social fissure and economic and political instability, demonstrating the need for an honest and comprehensive investigation into the management of the crisis.
Fox News: Be well: Take these 5 smart steps to relieve musculoskeletal pain
About half of adults in the U.S. experience some degree of musculoskeletal pain, which can be sharp, sudden flares or chronic and long-lasting. Some find relief through alternative methods, like breathing exercises, gentle movement, hydration, simple stretches, and being positive about their bodies. Rather than fixating on the pain, the focus is on the whole person and implementing habits to reduce stress, increase pain tolerance, and promote overall well-being.
Fox News: North Carolina’s Blue Cross and Blue Shield allowed restructure
North Carolina governor, Roy Cooper, has signed into law a bill that permits Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina and a dental insurance provider to transfer assets into a parent holding company in order to increase flexibility and expand services. Despite some opposition from executive officials who warned the regulatory authority would be limited by such a move, the bill had bipartisan support and has now passed into law. There are now concerns as to whether Blue Cross will effectively use North Carolina ratepayers' money for personal gain, despite the legislation capping its admitted assets to 25%.

Newsbusters: ABC Scoffs at Fact Jordan Neely Threated to Kill Women, Children
Former Marine Daniel Penny speaks out about the incident resulting in the death of a violent homeless man who was threatening women and children on a New York City subway. Despite corroborating police reports and witness accounts, ABC's Good Morning America dismisses Penny's self-defense claims and paints him as the violent attacker, omitting the mentally disturbed Neely's history of subway assaults. Penny dispels claims of racism and clarifies that he acted to restrain, not choke to death, Neely in under five minutes. ABC's dismissal of Penny's evidence and accounts is seen to be encouraged by sponsorship from Ancestry and Macy's.

Fox News: Trump defense needs to 'run the table' or he could spend rest of his life in prison, says Jonathan Turley
Former President Donald Trump has been hit with a 37-count federal indictment, including charges of retaining national defense information, obstructing justice, and making false statements. According to Fox News contributor Jonathan Turley, the government only needs to prove one count for Trump to face a terminal sentence, and the evidence is "extremely damning." If even half of the indictment is true, Trump "is toast," echoes former Attorney General Bill Barr. Trump has claimed he will continue running for president in 2024, even if convicted. The indictment accuses Trump of failing to comply with demands to return classified documents, including defense and weapon capabilities of the U.S. and details of the U.S. nuclear program.
