The American Spectator: Three Basic Truths Behind the Trump Indictment
David Catron argues that the Democrats' obsession with Trump is a pump-and-dump swindle designed to destroy the Republican Party and establish a one-party era of political dominance. Lawsuits, indictments, and endless focus on Jan. 6 are used to keep Trump front and center of every news cycle, alienating everyone else while hardening support among core Republican voters. Catron suggests that defeating the pump-and-dump either requires a different GOP candidate or a touchy-feely Trump who elicits sympathy from soft voters who turned against him in 2020. The endless pump-and-dump is all we have, and it's a trap we're not allowed to escape.
The Epoch Times: Labor's Attempt to Appease Greens Fall Flat as Greens Cling to Rent Freezes
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese criticizes the Greens for failing to support the Housing Affordability Future Fund (HAFF) after the government rejected their demand for a rental freeze across the country. The government amended the bill to address concerns but the Greens maintain their demand for guaranteed funding for public and affordable housing and a billion dollars to incentivize a national freeze on rent increases. The Greens' hardline stance has also caused pushback from independent senators who support the bill.
PJ Media: REPORT: Burisma Founder Who Allegedly Bribed Joe and Hunter Biden Is a Russian Asset
Bursima founder Mykola Zlochevsky is believed to be an asset of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service by the US intelligence community, according to a national security source. Zlochevsky allegedly paid $10 million in bribes to Joe and Hunter Biden in exchange for getting Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin fired. Bursima is also accused of being involved in a $5 million bribery scheme.
Sen. Chuck Grassley claimed the foreign national who bribed the Bidens has audio recordings of conversations with Joe and Hunter Biden, while Reps. Anna Paulina Luna and Marjorie Taylor Greene have read an FBI informant file accusing Biden in the bribery scheme. Joe Biden was jokingly asked about the allegations but did not deny them.
Townhall: The Trump Indictment
Former President Donald Trump has been indicted on 37 counts. Joe Biden may feature in the trial, having backed his car with boxes of classified documents into his garage. Republicans are said to be angered by the trial, believing that the two-tier system of justice doesn't equally apply to both sides. A source has also told the FBI that Biden and family members took a $5 million bribe from a natural gas firm in exchange for U.S. policy decisions. The Hunter Biden investigation has yet to come to an end, leading some to question whether justice is being applied equally.

Spectator USA: Ireland’s treatment of migrants has turned shameful
Anti-immigrant sentiment is on the rise in Ireland, despite the country's traditional image of being welcoming. The issue is fuelled by a housing crisis and lack of communication from officials. Such sentiment recently culminated in Irish natives torching tents belonging to a makeshift encampment of migrants in inner city Dublin, an event described as a "truly shameful moment". The number of asylum seekers needing to be accommodated has increased to the level of the indigenous homeless population, leading to fears the situation could deteriorate further.

PJ Media: On the Argument That We Shouldn't Be Aiding a Corrupt Country
Conservatives who oppose aiding Ukraine against Russian aggression need to reconsider. While compromises may be necessary, corruption is not a valid reason to withhold aid, given America's past aid to corrupt regimes. Furthermore, the level of corruption in Ukraine is not worse than that of America, which has been heavily influenced by left-wing corruption. Opponents of aid should not let corruption blind them to the fact that Ukraine is a victim of aggression and deserves support.

The American Spectator: ‘She Looks Like She Just Went to Sleep’: Thousands Travel to Visit Incorrupt Nun
The Benedictines of Mary Queen of the Apostles in Gower, Missouri, have become a pilgrimage site after exhuming Sister Wilhelmina Lancaster's body and discovering that it was completely intact and her habit was in pristine condition. Sister Wilhelmina founded the order in 1994, which until recently was mostly known as the “singing nuns” after topping Billboard’s classical music charts. Her cause for canonization has not yet been opened, but the event has inspired many Catholics. Her life was one of personal sanctity and service; she left the Oblate Sisters of Providence to start a new order alongside the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter, a group of priests who are devoted to celebrating the Tridentine Latin Mass.

The American Spectator: No, Judge Hinkle, Gender Identity Is Not Real, Nor Legally Relevant
A federal judge in Florida has ruled that the state's law prohibiting doctors from prescribing puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones to minors is unconstitutional, based on gender identity being "real," thereby excluding its use as a legitimate state interest. Judge Robert Hinkle dismissed the medical risks associated with the treatment as outweighed by its benefits. However, Judge Hinkle's assumption that gender identity is "real" imposes a particular worldview on the people of the state that overturns the will of the elected representatives of that state. The ruling, with its obvious political bias is, therefore, highly problematic.

The Epoch Times: Nashville Shooter's Autopsy Indicates No Testing Ordered for Potential Prescription Medications
Toxicology reports for the March shooter at a Nashville Christian school show no drugs or alcohol and no hormone therapy for the transition to male for the 28-year-old Audrey Hale, who was reportedly transgender. The autopsy reports state that Hale sustained numerous gunshot wounds in an attack at The Covenant School and physical changes were not made in her transition. Clothing found on the scene included ammunition magazines, some labelled with stickers and drawings, while Hale was handcuffed and her hands removed and X-rays showed no physical evidence of drug use or self-harm. State Senator Todd Gardenhire is interested in whether Hale was taking mental health medication.

Townhall: Golf Merger Exposes Government’s Flawed Antitrust Mindset
LIV Golf and PGA Tour have merged into a single entity, after weeks of talks and legal battles. The deal provides a better product, paying golfers more generously and promoting team golf tournaments. However, US regulators continue to circle, with some lawmakers calling for a Federal Trade Commission investigation and unionization of players to oppose the merger. The situation highlights the error of the current antitrust policy in politics, as big companies and mergers are not inherently bad, and can provide better products and entertainment.
Fox News: On this day in history, June 13, 1966, Supreme Court decision creates Miranda rights for those under arrest
On June 13, 1966, the US Supreme Court announced the Miranda ruling, stating that arrested individuals have the right to remain silent and an attorney under the Fifth and Sixth Amendments of the US Constitution. This decision resulted in the requirement of the "Miranda rights" during arrests, which must include instructing the arrested individual about their right to remain silent, that anything said could be used against them, and their right to consult legal counsel. The landmark case originated in Phoenix, Arizona, and involved a man named Ernesto Arturo Miranda, who was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping and rape and ultimately found guilty.
The Miranda warning is only to be used by law enforcement when a person is in police custody and about to be questioned; anything said before that point can still be used in a court of law. Recently, on June 23, 2022, the Supreme Court ruled that officers cannot be sued for damages under federal civil rights law for failing to issue the Miranda warning to suspects.
Townhall: The Stupidity of Polls
Polls are useless for electoral politics, but they're created and reported as if they're a reflection of something meaningful. Most Americans don't read or watch news, listen to podcasts, or watch cable news, so the "news" business doesn't do much actual reporting anymore. They either attract as large an audience as possible or cultivate a loyal audience and cater to them. This leads to a lack of actual news delivery and a preponderance of choir-preaching. Polling is a prime example of this trend, with polls being conducted for the purpose of creating what can be passed off as news.
