Washington Free Beacon: Why the Media Are Rushing To Defend AOC's Honor
Elon Musk promoted a parody account mocking Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, leading to accusations of harassment and spreading disinformation. The account's tweets fooled some readers, with some attributing them to the real Ocasio-Cortez, while others recognized them as parody. The real Ocasio-Cortez has a history of cutesy sparring with Musk on Twitter and has been known to spread disinformation of her own.
The American Spectator: FBI’s Wray Fails to Release Subpoenaed Document in Biden Family Investigation
FBI Director Christopher Wray did not turn over subpoenaed documents regarding an alleged illegal bribery scheme involving President Joe Biden to the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability by the May 30 deadline. The unclassified FBI form was requested in connection with the investigation into the Biden family. Comer stated that the committee will hold Wray in contempt of Congress for his refusal to turn over the subpoenaed documents.
Fox News: Oath Keeper, Roger Stone guard gets 4½ years for Jan. 6 charges
Roberto Minuta, member of the far-right Oath Keepers group and bodyguard of Roger Stone, has been sentenced to 4.5 years in prison for seditious conspiracy related to the January 6, 2021 Capitol riot. Minuta, along with Edward Vallejo, were both convicted of seditious conspiracy in January and sentenced on Thursday. Fox News: FBI to bring Biden document to Capitol Hill Monday, after threats to hold Wray in contempt of Congress
The FBI will bring a subpoenaed document alleging Joe Biden was involved in a criminal bribery scheme to Capitol Hill for lawmakers to review on Monday. The document in question is an FBI-generated FD-1023 form that allegedly describes a $5 million criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Joe Biden and a foreign national relating to the exchange of money for policy decisions. The FBI’s accommodation to bring the physical document to Capitol Hill comes after House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer threatened to hold the bureau in contempt of Congress if they missed the May 30 deadline.
Comer subpoenaed the document last month and set a May 30 deadline for FBI Director Christopher Wray to physically turn it over to the House Oversight Committee, but the FBI did not comply with the subpoena and missed the deadline. The document is being sought after a whistleblower approached Comer and Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, alleging that the FBI and the Justice Department were in possession of it and that it would reveal "a precise description of how the alleged criminal scheme was employed as well as its purpose." Grassley viewed the document Wednesday at the FBI and told Fox News that if the bureau complies with the original subpoena and gives Congress the document, lawmakers will "make it public."

The Epoch Times: New California Bill Would Limit Rental Security Deposits to One Month's Rent
California lawmakers are considering a bill that would cap security deposits for renters at one month’s rent. The state has one of the highest costs of living in the US for renters, and the bill has been sponsored to increase housing affordability. Several property owners and real estate groups are opposed to the bill, which would prohibit landlords from charging more than one month’s rent as a deposit. Existing laws allow a deposit of up to two months’ rent for unfurnished rental, and three months’ rent for furnished units. The bill is now under consideration in the Senate. If passed by both chambers and signed by the governor, California would become the 12th state in the country to impose a one-month cap on rental security deposits.

Daily Wire: ‘It’s All Their Fault’: Matt Walsh Has Message For LGBTQ Activists Upset About Boycotts And Pride Backlash
LGBT activists are responsible for the backlash against Pride and other woke agendas, according to Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh. Speaking on his podcast, Walsh said the activists were guilty of running “roughshod” over the culture, pushing increasingly “outlandish” and “grotesque” ideas until people became “sick of it”. He added that many on the right were against attempts to promote gender ideology, transgenderism and “satanic merchandise” to children, calling for all Pride flags to be banned.
Fox News: Minnesota law letting ex-felons vote takes effect
Minnesota has restored voting rights to at least 55,000 ex-felons with a new law championed by Democratic Secretary of State Steve Simon. The law allows those with felony convictions to vote if they are not currently incarcerated and marks the largest single act of enfranchisement for the state in over 50 years. At a registration event in St. Paul, Simon registered newly eligible voters and celebrated the expansion of voting rights. Supporters of the law argue that it restores rights to people who have been deemed safe to release by the courts and who are already contributing to the community, while opponents say it is not tough enough on those who have committed crimes. #[]

The US hopes for a quick resolution to the issue as it believes Sweden will strengthen and unify the alliance, with recent Russian aggression highlighting the need for Sweden's accession. However, Russia's response to extending NATO's border could be provocative.

Fox News: Minnesota Gov. Walz signs $2.6B infrastructure bill into law
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz signed a $2.6 billion infrastructure spending package, which includes $1.5 billion in borrowing and $1.1 billion in cash to fund various projects statewide. These projects include roads and bridges, bus rapid transit lanes, water treatment plant upgrades, facilities for state parks and trails, affordable housing and community centers, among others. The signing took place upstream from the landmark Hennepin Avenue bridge over the Mississippi River in downtown Minneapolis, where then-Gov. Rudy Perpich signed a projects bill in 1988 that funded construction of the span.
Minnesota's largest previous project package, known as a bonding bill, totaled nearly $1.9 billion in 2020. This year's infrastructure package didn't come together until the closing days of the legislative session due to disagreements between the Democratic-controlled House and the GOP-led Senate. Republicans settled for $300 million to aid struggling nursing homes. This package makes “historic” investments in Black, Brown and Native American communities that have often been left out of public investment.

The Epoch Times: Trump's Lawyers Seek Recusal of Judge in NY Criminal Case
Donald Trump's lawyers are seeking a replacement for Judge Juan Merchan, who is hearing the case against the former President in which he faces 34 felony counts. The lawyers claim Merchan has “significant conflicts” and that his daughter stands to financially benefit from a decision her father may make because of her direct efforts with Joe Biden’s campaign. The lawyers are also seeking to transfer the state case to federal court as they argue it revolves around alleged violations of federal election law, raising “important federal questions.” Trump is accused of creating false business records to conceal that he was reimbursing a $130,000 payment made by Michael Cohen, his former lawyer, to adult film star Stephanie Clifford.

Davidson Courthouse building in Judge Kevin Murphy's Alameda County recently saw a judge get robbed at gunpoint by three masked individuals carrying firearms. Price, who supports “restorative justice” rather than incarcerating criminals, believes most or all crimes are committed because individuals who commit them are victims of systemic racism or other oppression.
