Liberal outlet roasted for 'Latino White supremacy’ warning: Hispanic voters 'are not hardwired left'
A New Yorker op-ed claiming the rise of "Latino white supremacy" drew backlash from Hispanic leaders, who called it "absurd" and said it was comparable to Clinton's "deplorables" label for Trump supporters. The leader of LIBRE Initiative, Daniel Garza, said Latino voters are increasingly rejecting left-wing ideology and turning to the GOP for support of pro-growth policies. The claim that Hispanics are supporting white supremacy has been called out as unfounded.

Report: Hunter Biden to Use Pro-2A SCOTUS Ruling to Overcome Possible Gun Charges
Hunter Biden's attorneys may use the Supreme Court's Bruen ruling to help their client with any potential gun charges he may face. The Bruen decision struck down New York's proper cause requirement for concealed carry licenses and Justice Clarence Thomas used it to note the Second Amendment's protection of an individual's right to carry a handgun for self-defense outside the home. Biden's lawyers reportedly told Justice Department prosecutors that charges against him would be moot. His attorney believes there are cases under appeal that will undercut any charges against him, citing Bruen as precedent.

Hunter Biden may have lied about his history of drug use while filling out ATF Form 4473 for a gun purchase in 2018. The punishment for false answers on the form includes fines up to $250,000 and/or ten years imprisonment. Biden's attorney believes there are cases under appeal that will undercut any charges against him, citing Bruen as precedent.

Greenie activists humiliated by Big Oil shareholders, who said 'no' to their virtue-signaling proposals by big margins
Shareholders of Exxon Mobil Corp and Chevron Corp have voted against a series of green proposals aimed at mitigating climate change. The proposals were dismissed, with no single oil major seeming to truly want to transform, despite pressure from investor groups. Activist group Follow This had previously represented some 9,500 shareholders in oil and gas firms and requested that Exxon set medium-term goals for decreasing emissions from fuels burned by clients. However, the group's resolution received only 11% of the vote at this year’s meeting. The rejection of what Reuters called the “green wokesters'” proposals is a potential sign of change, as previously shareholders had been more willing to back them.

Republican Alyssa Farah Griffin refused to push back, while Sunny Hostin accused Republicans of “stealing” elections and attacking minority groups. The View’s rhetoric against Republicans was made possible by lucrative sponsorships from Dunkin’ Donuts and Tylenol.

CBS Discovers ‘Brand Politics,’ Frets ‘Woke’ Businesses Being ‘Caught‘ in ‘Culture Wars’
Major American brands are entangled in the culture wars as they take on social issues, and it's causing a conservative backlash. Though some see taking a stand as a positive, others view it as evidence of corporate America's woke agenda. A look into brand politics reveals Americans are divided on the issue, yet surveys suggest 70% of Americans believe brands should align themselves with certain values, and nearly two-thirds would buy products based on their beliefs and values. Critics, however, accuse businesses of forcing consumers to adopt and endorse progressive causes.

The incident highlights the Left's tendency to attack even its own and is a reminder to "get a life."

Thursday Afternoon Update: Elon Musk Responds To Twitter Canceling Daily Wire Screening, California Senate To Honor Anti-Catholic Group, Pentagon Cancels Drag Show
Twitter cancelled a deal with The Daily Wire to stream its hit documentary “What is a Woman?” after claiming it “misgendered”. However, Twitter owner Elon Musk responded, saying the cancellation was a “mistake by many people at Twitter". The California Senate’s LGBTQ Caucus announced it will honour Michael Williams, who performs in a nun costume as “Sister Roma” as part of its June 5 recognition of Pride month, amid criticism from officials over the move.

The Pentagon cancelled the third annual drag show at Nellis Air Force Base, suggesting hosting events using federally funded venues is an unsuitable use of DOD resources. The Oklahoma Supreme Court ruled that two state abortion laws barring illegal termination of pregnancy were unconstitutional, while "That 70s Show" actor Danny Masterson was found guilty on two counts of rape in a retrial.

California Lawmakers Will Honor Anti-Catholic Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence Member
California lawmakers plan to honor Sister Roma of the “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence” drag group despite controversy over the Los Angeles Dodgers’ previous decision to honor the group. The group is known for dressing in drag queen versions of Catholic religious habits and pushing LGBTQ+ activism. Michael Williams, or Sister Roma, has fought against HIV/AIDS for over 30 years and has raised well over $1 million for LGBTQ+ organizations, according to lawmakers. The “Sisters” had initially been removed from the Dodgers’ award list due to backlash from Catholic organizations but were later re-invited to the “Pride Night” celebration for the team’s June 16 home game.

Will Daily Wire Force Elon Musk Make Good on His Free Speech Rhetoric?
Twitter has rescinded an offer to stream Matt Walsh’s documentary, "What Is a Woman?" due to two instances of “misgendering” in the film. Daily Wire CEO Jeremy Boering claims that enforcing “misgendering” policy places Twitter on the side of the radical elements in society, and Daily Wire declined to make the requested change. The platform’s “speech not reach” policy has made it difficult for discussion over the matter to continue. Musk believes the situation is a result of a mistake by several employees. The documentary will still be streamed on Twitter tonight at 8 p.m. EST.

Maduro Henchman: Chile's Leftist President ‘Works for the Gringos’
Diosdado Cabello, vice president of the PSUV, accused Chilean President Gabriel Boric of aiding US sabotage during a South American presidential summit. Cabello made the accusations on his weekly state TV show, Con el Mazo Dando (“Hitting with the Mallet”), after Boric condemned the human rights crisis in Venezuela during the summit. Cabello claimed Boric’s condemnation was part of an act of sabotage orchestrated by the US in which Boric was a “fool” used to undermine the meeting. Cabello called Boric “merluzo,” a colloquial nickname used in Chile to describe someone as “silly, foolish, or unskillful,” and claimed Boric was a “disguised president that the economic and financial groups put in place so that the people would not say anything.”

China and India Received Record Amounts of Russian Crude in May
Shipments of Russian crude oil to China and India hit record levels in May, increasing by 10% despite calls from the Biden administration and the G7 nations to respect sanctions and price caps. Between 62-68 million barrels of Russian crude were shipped to India, while China received 41-50 million barrels. The faltering Chinese economy is hindering energy demand, but Chinese refining companies remain eager to stock up on Russian products at discounted prices and reduced shipping costs. The G7 placed a price cap of $60 per barrel on Russian oil in December as an attempt to reduce the amount of income Moscow can direct to its attack on Ukraine, and have rejected stronger bans on Russian oil due to enforcement difficulties and potential global energy price spikes.

PJ Media: ‘Americans Got Hosed’: Rep. Biggs, Sen. Lee Slam Republicans’ Debt Ceiling Deal
‘Americans Got Hosed’: Rep. Biggs, Sen. Lee Slam Republicans’ Debt Ceiling Deal
Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) and Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) condemn the debt ceiling deal passed by House Republicans with the Democrats, stating that it allegedly saves the US "worse than fake" money and sends it "careening off a [fiscal] cliff.” Lee notes that the deal uses a smoke-and-mirrors tactic to move $22 billion of pandemic spending money into a slush fund that nobody knows how it will be used. Biggs claims the proposal is a spending problem, not a revenue problem, with only $1.4 billion of more than $70 billion in funding to the IRS removed with no restrictions preventing the hiring of 87,000 new IRS agents. The agreement is “bad for Americans, on a multitude of levels,” he insists.

If the analysis by Biggs and Lee is correct, then the McCarthy-Biden spending “monstrosity” would accelerate America off the fiscal cliff, warns an editor at PJ Media. The claim that the deal saves $130 billion a year for 10 years is “dubious,” if not false, Biggs argues because $2 trillion will be added to US debt every year. Biggs previously attacked the Republicans’ original proposal, labeling it insufficiently aggressive, and described the final bill as a worse version of it. The congressman claimed that the deal is still massive deficit spending, as the largest deficit reduction, the largest recision ever, and significant wins are still massive deficit spending.

Lawmakers, including Jim Banks, are demanding that the Pentagon provides clear guidelines on drag shows, prohibiting them from being held on any military bases. The request comes after a scheduled drag queen show at Nellis Air Force Base was approved by Air Force leadership but canceled after Rep. Matt Gaetz intervened. The lawmakers have written to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin asking him to issue formal guidance prohibiting drag shows on any Department Of Defense (DOD) installation or any location using DOD funds and to clarify what happened with the Nellis Air Force Base show. Banks has been a leading voice opposing woke policies in the military, having previously grilled Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Michael Gilday on Ibram X. The United Church of Christ's latest desk calendar featured a cartoon image of eight children holding hands in a circle, with a white character in the 12 o'clock position. Identitarian leftists criticized the image as contrary to the church's "commitments to be an antiracist body," prompting John Dorhauer, the UCC's president, to issue a grovelling apology and admit that any other cartoon character on a different background would have been preferable. Dorhauer, a radical leftist, previously taught "White Privilege" studies, accused all white men of enjoying "pernicious privilege," and officiated at the first legal gay "marriage" in Maricopa County, Arizona.
