National Review: The Corner: SCOTUS: Unions Don’t Have a Right to Break Stuff
The Corner: SCOTUS: Unions Don’t Have a Right to Break Stuff
The Supreme Court has decided that allowing employees to intentionally damage company property during a strike does not fall under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA). A concrete company had filed a lawsuit against Teamsters truckers after they sabotaged their trucks by walking out after they were loaded with custom-mixed concrete. The court did not determine that striking during regular work hours without prior notice or during a period when perishables could be damaged was banned, but considered the intentional sabotage at hand. The case demonstrated that the NLRA strongly favours unions, granting unjustifiable legal privileges that even extend to potential damage to business property.

Many conservatives called it “partisan” and “weaponization” of the federal government. Abuse from government agencies prompted formation of U.S. House Judiciary Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government.

Newsbusters: USA TODAY Celebrates June with Front-Page Trans Teens 'Pride-a-Ganda' Piece
USA TODAY Celebrates June with Front-Page Trans Teens 'Pride-a-Ganda' Piece
USA Today begins "Pride Month" with an article on transgender teens who are thriving despite being targeted by Republican bills. The article, written by "Breaking news" editor Susan Miller, focuses on three accomplished teens who just happen to be transgender. In a year where more than 700 anti-LGBTQ bills have been introduced in dozens of states, Miller advocates for replacing misinformed opinions with real experiences of young people who are transgender and nonbinary. The article reads like a GenderCool publicity packet, with no critical words from conservatives and no leftist label for the organization behind it.

The Blaze: The Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw pushes back against drag queens
The Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw pushes back against drag queens
Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw disagrees with the team's decision to invite an anti-Catholic drag queen group to their "Pride Night" game. Kershaw asked the team to accelerate the announcement of a Christian Faith and Family Day event. He believes that the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, the group in question, are making fun of other people's religions. Some commentators, like Keith Malinak, agree with Kershaw, while Pat Gray questions why people have to participate in promoting sexual preference.

Newsbusters: Flip-Flop? Musk’s Twitter Off to Rocky Start on ‘Trans’ Debate on June 1
Flip-Flop? Musk’s Twitter Off to Rocky Start on ‘Trans’ Debate on June 1
Twitter canceled a deal to promote The Daily Wire's documentary, What is a Woman?, on its platform due to alleged violations of its policy on misgendering. The documentary features commentary from a father of a transgender child and a small business owner who used the "wrong" pronoun in a confrontation with a transgender individual. Elon Musk, owner of Twitter, responded by condemning threats of violence as a result of deadnaming, but also acknowledged that misgendering is at most rude and breaks no laws. Twitter's threats of censorship mark a stark reversal of Musk's promise to make Twitter 2.0 a free speech platform.

Biden’s Latest Fall Offers Reminder That June Is ‘Elder Abuse Awareness Month’
President Biden fell during his speech at the U.S. Air Force Academy graduation. It is unclear if he was injured, but the incident highlights the importance of Elder Abuse Awareness Month. As an 80-year-old president, reports indicate that Biden is often tired and confused, and his aides have revealed that he is only functional between certain hours. He has also displayed signs of emotional exploitation, constantly being put in situations that make him irritable and frustrated. Additionally, there are allegations that his son Hunter has been taking advantage of his father's name for overseas business contracts, potentially financially exploiting the president.

Senate Passes Bill Axing Biden’s Student Debt Relief Plan
Senate Republicans, joined by three Democrats, passed a bill to stop President Biden's plan to cancel student debt, which includes lifting the freeze on loan payments and interest. The bill passed with a 52-46 vote, but it is expected to be vetoed by Biden. The program offers relief of up to $10,000 for those who made less than $125,000 in 2020 and 2021. Those who received Pell Grants could receive up to $20,000. The plan is awaiting a Supreme Court ruling, but the debt ceiling deal includes a provision to end the freeze on payments and interest.
