Daily Wire: Minnesota Will Give Illegal Immigrants Free College Tuition
Minnesota Will Give Illegal Immigrants Free College Tuition
Minnesota Democrats have passed a program called the "North Star Promise" that would cover tuition at the University of Minnesota or Minnesota State systems for students whose families make $80,000 a year or less, including illegal immigrants. Republicans have criticized the program for being unfair to students whose parents work multiple jobs but could still use the financial aid. The free tuition program is estimated to cost about $117 million for the first year, and the program will cost $49.5 million every year following that. This comes just after a flood of migrants illegally crossed the southern border following a Trump-era restriction’s expiration.

Black residents torch Chicago lawmakers over $51 million funding to house migrants: 'Enough is enough'
Chicago residents are unhappy with the city's decision to allocate over $50 million towards housing illegal immigrants, saying that the money should be used to address the needs of its citizens first. Many Black residents called for more mental health resources and support for the homeless population, and some demanded reparations for slavery instead of funding for migrants. Despite objections, the measure passed during a city council meeting, and tensions remain high.

Forbes: Trump Says He Doesn’t Like The Term ‘Woke’—The Republican Buzzword He’s Repeatedly Used
Trump Says He Doesn’t Like The Term ‘Woke’—The Republican Buzzword He’s Repeatedly Used
Former President Donald Trump broke from Republican rivals by saying he doesn't like the term "woke," despite using it to slam Democrats and corporations as part of his rhetoric. Speaking in Iowa, he argued that "half the people can't even define it" and "don't know what it is." Trump's comments came days after he attacked Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for allowing Disney to go "woke," a term DeSantis has also used to slam Democrats and promote an anti-diversity, equity, and inclusion agenda. Trump's go-to use of "woke" has been absent on the campaign trail so far.

During his campaign event in Iowa, Trump railed against gender-affirming care for trans children and the participation of trans children in youth sports, saying that "the country's gone sick." Meanwhile, Governor Ron DeSantis has recently signed Florida's "Stop WOKE Act" into law, which bans state college instructors from teaching critical race theory and restricts access to specific library materials. Trump's rejection of "woke" as a term that he likes is surprising, given that the term has been a cornerstone of his political language since at least 2020, when he launched Truth Social as an alternative to Twitter, calling it a "non-woke" social media platform.

Hunter Biden's "laptop from hell" is said to contain 10,000 salacious photos of the president's son between 2008 and 2019, which will soon be made available on a specially made website called BidenLaptopMedia.com. There had been an initial effort to suppress the existence of the laptop by liberal outlets and big tech, painting it as Russian disinformation before the 2020 presidential election, which turned out to be false. The project took months to compile and redact, but the photos will be an authentic recounting of the device, allowing the American people to judge the first family for themselves.

GOP Leader McCarthy secured important policy victories, including $1.5T in deficit reduction, tougher safety-net program work requirements, clawing back unspent Covid-relief money, environmental review measures, and no tax increases. Senate Republicans Demand Security Clearance Details of 51 Ex-Officials Who Signed Hunter Biden Laptop Letter
Senate Republicans request security clearance information of 51 ex-officials who signed a letter stating that Hunter Biden's laptop was part of a Russian disinformation campaign. Republicans are concerned about the potential politicization of intelligence and how former intelligence officials misused their titles and connections to protect President Biden. House Judiciary and Intelligence Committee Republican chairmen have also threatened to subpoena the CIA to disclose any communication it had with the 51 signatories involved in the October 2020 intelligence community letter.

White House Spokesman Left Speechless After Being Asked About Whether Biden Is 'Corrupt'
John Kirby denied reports that a majority of Americans believe that President Joe Biden is corrupt during a briefing. A reporter asked Kirby if the White House has a response to a poll showing that 53% of Americans believe Biden was involved in an illegal influence-peddling scheme with his son, Hunter Biden. Kirby replied that there is no evidence to these claims and that the President had interacted with associates from China, Mexico, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Ukraine. The House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer stated that the FBI has confirmed the existence of a document that alleges Biden was involved in a criminal bribery scheme when he was vice president.

The New American: How to Use Unconventional Warfare Against the Establishment
How to Use Unconventional Warfare Against the Establishment
The book, "Unrestricted Warfare" by Qiao Liang and Wang Xiangsui, is a treatise on military strategy. It advances the concept of unrestricted warfare which is not limited to traditional military action. China has followed this philosophy to a T and implemented unrestricted warfare to bring down U.S. hegemony without the need for a single shot to be fired. Another pearl of wisdom found in the book is that high-tech actors are often at a loss when it comes to dealing with forces using unconventional technologies and tactics. It would be wise for right-wing activists to apply the principles of unrestricted warfare by using techniques of mass persuasion that were successful prior to the advent of modern technologies. They should learn how to organize people in-person, create print publications, and learn the arts of personal magnetism and public speaking in order to play smart and win against the establishment's enormous resources.

Several Republican attorneys general have filed an amicus brief opposing several LGBTQ+ groups that are pressing for gender reassignment surgery and hormone therapy for minors. Republican attorneys say these medical interventions on children with gender dysphoria should not be considered the standard of care, and that not enough evidence supports its use. The amicus brief refers to a federal lawsuit filed by LGBTQ+ organization Lambda Legal, which opposes West Virginia's ban on transgender medical intervention on children as well as North Carolina's blocking of sex-change coverage. ( )

DeSantis, Trump continue sparring over campaign promises: 'Why didn’t he do it in his first four years?'
Gov. DeSantis responded to former President Trump's claims that it would take him only 6 months to undo everything President Biden accomplished, questioning why Trump did not do it in his first four years. Trump stated that it would only take him 6 months to roll back Biden’s moves and criticized DeSantis’ claims that it would take two presidential terms to do so. DeSantis drew contrasts with Trump during his campaign speeches, saying GOP needed to dispense with the culture of losing and that the direction of the GOP in recent years, dominated by Trump, needed to change.

The man introduces himself as “a fairy godmother’s apprentice” and offers to select the girl’s costumes for the day. The video has been dubbed “BudLighting” after Dylan Mulvaney, who criticized Bud Light for its left-leaning values and subsequently damaged the brewer’s market share. Commentators pointed out the suspect’s apparent “predator vibes”. It is not clear whether the mustachioed employee, Nick, was the same “apprentice” who served this mother in October, when Mulvaney recorded the original video.

Princeton professor rededicates the month of June to God, family, and country, prioritizing virtue over vice
Robert George, a Princeton professor of jurisprudence, has declared June to be "Fidelity Month," calling for Americans to acknowledge the importance of fidelity to God, spouses, families, country, and communities. George is responding to a Wall Street Journal-NORC poll indicating a decline in patriotism, religious faith, having children, and community involvement among Americans as compared to 25 years earlier. George recommended that instead of the LGBT activists' kaleidoscopic flag signifying various sexual preferences, people adopt a symbol of a myrtle wreath, signifying fidelity. This activist flag would signify virtue.

George underscored the importance of parents, teachers, coaches, and role models providing a strong example for younger generations. "They need to see people who are faithful to God, to spouses and families, to the country, and to the community. And faithful witness, actual fidelity, means being willing to sacrifice, give up some things like wealth, power, influence, status, and prestige, for the sake of the things that really matter: faith and family and friendship and honor and integrity." Among the events George has planned for Fidelity Month is a webinar involving pro-life activist Lila Rose and others.

Ukraine now probably has as many tanks as Russia
After 16 months of war, Russia has lost much of its advantage in ground military equipment against Ukraine. Oryx estimates that Russia has lost 1,911 tanks, leaving them with about 1,500 tanks left. Meanwhile, Ukraine has gained over 5,500 armored vehicles from Allies, giving them a total of about 8,000 armored units and 2,087 tanks. Russia still has a twofold advantage in manpower over Ukraine, but they have exhausted their offensive capabilities and now have a powerful defense.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed growing tensions with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in an interview with Infobae, denying that he or his aides prevented a meeting between the two during the G7 summit in Japan last month. Zelensky also called out Lula for rejecting calls for an international tribunal to prosecute Russian war criminals and mocked him for trying to be original. The two presidents' mutual disdain appears to stem from comments Lula made last year, dismissing Zelensky as a "nice comedian" who the world should not take seriously.

RUAG bought the tanks seven years ago in Italy for resale or use as spare parts; they remain in Italy. SECO, the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs, will make the final decision, having earlier said that such a deal was incompatible with the sanctions provisions of the Federal Council. RUAG wants an official decision from SECO to “better assess the business options".

Labour Plan to Block All New North Sea Oil Projects Could Cost Scotland £6 billion Say Conservatives
The Scottish Conservative Party claims UK Labour’s plan to halt new oil and gas projects would cost Scotland £6 billion by 2030. Labour’s Green Prosperity Plan aims to quickly achieve net-zero emissions and end reliance on fossil fuels. The Scottish Tories say the £6 billion figure was taken from the Scottish government’s recent energy strategy report. Conservatives accuse the opposition of delivering "a hammer blow to the nation's economy" and of being "economically illiterate" and "short-sighted". Unite, Labour's largest donor, agrees, warning of a repeat of the devastation caused by the closure of coal mines by the Thatcher government. Energy industry experts concur, concerned about effects on energy security, the daily lives of millions of homes, jobs and businesses. Harry Wilkinson, head of Policy at Net Zero Watch, says that the plan would cause an increase in oil and gas prices. Labour claims its plan will create more jobs, opportunities and industries.

Nolte: Another Woke Disney Flop — ‘Little Mermaid’ on Track to Lose Millions
Disney's live-action remake of "The Little Mermaid" may be at risk of losing millions as box office analysts say it could struggle to make a profit with a disappointing global performance. Despite a successful domestic launch, the film only grossed $68 million overseas, putting it in danger of sinking to a loss of around $20 million. With a massive production and promotion cost of $390 million, the film would have to gross close to $800 million worldwide in order to break even, a difficult threshold to reach given current performance. Some speculate that Disney's recent controversial moves, like exposing children to adult sexuality in the form of transsexuals, homosexuality and drag queens, may be the cause of brand damage.

Supreme Court revives suit claiming SuperValu, Safeway overcharged government for generic drugs
SuperValu and Safeway face allegations of Medicaid and Medicare fraud after the whistleblower lawsuits were revived by the Supreme Court. The companies are accused of overcharging the government health-care programs by hundreds of millions of dollars by reporting inflated retail prices for generic prescription drugs, despite selling them at a discounted price to customers. The case stems from the decision by Walmart in 2006 to offer many generic drugs for $4, which SuperValu and Safeway matched, but still reported a much higher "usual and customary" price when seeking reimbursement, leading to the allegations of fraud.

According to an AP poll, most US adults believe that race should play a role in college admissions. This comes as the Supreme Court upheld affirmative action at the University of Texas, stating that colleges have a compelling interest in promoting diversity. However, some politicians, like Donald Trump, and civil rights groups want to eliminate affirmative action, believing the policy to be discriminatory against Asian-American and white students. The poll shows that 59% of Americans believe race should be a factor in college admissions, while the remaining 41% believe admissions should be based solely on merit.
