The New American: Trump's Path to Victory Grows as GOP Field Gets Crowded
Trump's Path to Victory Grows as GOP Field Gets Crowded
Former President Donald Trump has seen his chances of winning the GOP nomination grow as potential rivals enter the ring. The highly popular Florida governor, Ron DeSantis, was expected to pose a challenge to Trump. However, polls indicate that Trump still holds a significant lead over DeSantis in terms of electability and overall support. The 2024 election is seen as having the potential to be more favorable for Trump than the last due to factors such as mail-in voting no longer being prevalent and the lack of a major crisis affecting the incumbent party. With a crowded field and a solid base, Trump remains a frontrunner for the nomination.

Republican governor offers voters a warning about Trump praising Andrew Cuomo to attack Gov. DeSantis: 'It’s bull***t'
New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu called out Donald Trump for praising Andrew Cuomo's response to COVID-19 over Ron DeSantis' efforts. Sununu slammed Trump's attack on DeSantis as "nonsense" and pointed out that it is a disservice to all the other red states that handled the pandemic well. He warned that Republicans should consider whether supporting Trump meant boosting Democrats over Republican interests. DeSantis called the attack "very bizarre," defended himself, and criticized Cuomo's approach as something he would not repeat.

Breitbart: Poll: Americans Agree with Bipartisan McCarthy/Biden Debt Ceiling Deal
Poll: Americans Agree with Bipartisan McCarthy/Biden Debt Ceiling Deal
A poll shows Americans support the bipartisan debt ceiling deal proposed by Republican Kevin McCarthy and the Biden White House, favoring smaller spending cuts to raise the debt limit. Democrats favored it the most, followed by independents and Republicans. 56% of Americans think Republicans should agree to smaller cuts that can pass with bipartisan votes or agree to raise the debt limit without any spending cuts. Only 17% of Americans surveyed said that Congress should allow for a default.

The Blaze: Horowitz: How McCarthy debt deal will destroy our leverage for the rest of Biden’s term
Horowitz: How McCarthy debt deal will destroy our leverage for the rest of Biden’s term
House GOP leaders betrayed conservatives by offering Biden unlimited debt suspension for nothing in return. The bill not only overrides debt ceiling leverage, but also ruins the ability to fight on budget bills and incentivizes rushed omnibus bills ahead of Christmas. Energy and permitting reforms in the bill will increase federal subsidy handouts and energy costs, depressing overall economic output. Republican leaders showed no new regime of aggression and are too afraid to negotiate, which means there will likely never be a chance to fix anything.

PJ Media: The Real Reason Republicans Always Seem to Lose the Close Ones
The Real Reason Republicans Always Seem to Lose the Close Ones
The Republican Party has spent millions on identifying voters, but it turns out the whole operation relied on paid canvassers who committed fraud. Several GOP field operators said the fraud occurred in Nevada, Georgia and Oregon, and one former staffer claimed that "10 to 20% of the staff ends up getting fired" for cheating. While the Democratic Party also experiences similar issues, they rely on volunteers and union members, who tend to concentrate in urban areas, giving them an advantage over the GOP. The party needs to work harder to ensure accuracy and transparency in their data collection efforts.

Will Biden Lose It Over This? Site Launches With Thousands of Hunter Pics From Laptop
A new website has launched containing 10,000 photos from Hunter Biden's laptop, covering 2008-2019 and including attachments and messages. The man behind the site is Garrett Ziegler, a former Trump White House aide, who said the photos are an accurate reflection of Hunter Biden’s life. Though the site is currently crashing a lot, Ziegler claims he is committed to truth and transparency.

Ark. Gov Sanders deploys National Guard to southern border to help Texas tackle border crisis
Arkansas Governor Sanders directed the National Guard to help Texas with the southern border crisis. The deployment of 80 guardsmen will support Texas National Guard-led efforts. The troops will help with surveillance and reconnaissance abilities, providing increased detection and tracking. Several other Republican-led states have made pledges of manpower to assist Texas, with Republican states blaming the Biden administration's policies for the ongoing migrant crisis. Meanwhile, the Biden administration has been cautious about such efforts, stating that such moves by the governors of Texas, Florida, and other states have been for "purely political reasons."

Fox News: Republican boycott over Oregon’s Democratic-led bills enters 5th week
Republican boycott over Oregon’s Democratic-led bills enters 5th week
Oregon's legislative session is in trouble as the GOP boycott of the Senate over an abortion and transgender care bill hits its fourth week. The Senate President, Rob Wagner, attempted once again on Wednesday to convene the chamber, but again nine Republicans were absent without being excused, preventing a quorum. The boycott will continue until the last day of the legislative session, June 25, to pass "bipartisan" legislation and budget bills. If not enough Republicans return before June 25 to establish a 20-member quorum, a special session may be called for the House and Senate to approve the state's budgets for the next two years. The longest-ever walkout in the Oregon Legislature has left a lot still up in the air.

Fox News: Did Joe Biden or Kevin McCarthy cave in debt ceiling negotiations? Congress sounds off
Did Joe Biden or Kevin McCarthy cave in debt ceiling negotiations? Congress sounds off
Congress is split over who caved during debt ceiling negotiations, with Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene claiming President Biden lost due to his plummeting polling numbers, while Democrat Rep. Jared Moskowitz believes both sides made concessions. The Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2023, a compromise bill on raising the national debt ceiling, was ultimately passed after some disagreement but saw majorities in both parties support the agreement. Republicans complained that the bill "kept Democrat priorities in place" and didn't adhere to their strong conservative stance, while some Democrats were happy to have reached a compromise.

Federal Agencies Celebrate Pride Month with 'Progress Pride' Flag
Federal agencies, including the State Department and the Department of Justice, are celebrating "Pride Month" through social media posts featuring the "Progress Pride" flag. These agencies have added colors to the rainbow flag to include transgender individuals and minorities who feel excluded from the acronym. The LGBT agenda has been pushed particularly hard by department stores and businesses and is also being embraced by President Biden's federal agencies. Professional sports teams, such as the Washington Commanders and the Detroit Lions, have also changed their logos to feature rainbow colors. A 2023 Gallup poll shows 7.2 percent of U.S. adults identify as something other than heterosexual, while just .6 percent identify as transgender.

The violence between Sudan's military and a rival paramilitary force has killed over 800 people and has resulted in seven cease-fires being declared, all of which were violated. The U.S. and Saudi Arabia have been mediating between the two sides but are seeking more compliance with the cease-fire before resuming facilitation of the talks.

Kadyrov's forces have taken control of the frontline in Donetsk and have been instructed to begin "active combat activities". America’s Evacuation Efforts in Sudan Stall Out
Project Dynamo, a Florida-based nonprofit, is attempting to evacuate over 300 stranded US citizens and permanent residents from Sudan as fighting between the country's top two generals escalates. The Biden administration has decided not to evacuate American passport holders despite the ongoing conflict. Bryan Stern, co-founder of Project Dynamo, has been able to evacuate American citizens and legal permanent residents in more than a dozen air and ground operations, but believes that the numbers needing evacuation are constantly in flux and is warning people not to wait. Meanwhile, congressional oversight committees have not been able to get specific numbers on Americans who have contacted the embassy for assistance.

Mongolia has become a preferred choice for shipping companies transporting sanctioned Russian goods due to its for-profit shipping registry which has lax regulations. The registry is one of the world's most notorious flag-of-convenience states and is based in Singapore, rather than Mongolia. Despite being blacklisted by the International Chamber of Shipping and obtaining the lowest rating in flag state performance tables, Mongolia's registry is still gaining new entrants, with Mumbai-based ship operator Gatik Ship Management being one example. Mongolia's vessels are extremely busy, but their lack of compliance with maritime rules makes them accidents waiting to happen.

Townhall: The McCarthy-Biden Debt Ceiling Deal Sends America Into Economic Demise
The McCarthy-Biden Debt Ceiling Deal Sends America Into Economic Demise
The McCarthy-Biden plan to raise the debt ceiling is a disaster, blowing up national debt from $31.4 trillion to $36 trillion by 2025 with only minimal savings and rescissions. The plan continues Green New Deal boondoggles and fails to eliminate Biden's student loan forgiveness plan. The "Administrative Pay-Go" provision is ephemeral and easily waived, and the plan does nothing to slow down deficit spending or reduce the angle of trajectory of national debt growth.

Restoring America’s Christian Faith is the True Answer to the Drug Crisis
The drug crisis in America cannot be solved through political action alone, as it is primarily a cultural and spiritual problem. Strict drug laws may work in collectivist cultures like Singapore and Dubai, but they are not a solution for individualistic societies like America. Religious culture plays a significant role, as demonstrated by the Islamic prohibition on alcohol. In order to truly end the drug crisis, Americans must address the spiritual void that leads to destructive behavior.

Great white shark bares teeth to chomp bait up close and personal with videographer
A great white shark lunged at bait during a tour in Mossel Bay, South Africa, six feet away from an underwater videographer. The videographer, Mark Graham, captured the incident from an underwater cage and commented that people often have misguided perceptions of sharks due to negative stories perpetuated by the media. Graham emphasized that sharks are merely animals and not monsters, noting that humans kill over 11,000 sharks an hour while there were only five fatal shark attacks in 2022. He encourages people to appreciate and see the animals for what they are.

Graham, who has been on many shark dives, was excited to see the sharks came without being prompted by bait or chum and even circled the boat. None of the guests on the tour felt scared, and even those hesitant to enter the water eventually got into the cage to experience the sharks underwater. He noted that great white sharks are usually tentative and slow to approach the boat, so when they do behave actively and show off their predatory nature by breaching out of the water, it is amazing to witness.
