Early in May, there were two claimed attempts to bomb the Kremlin using drone bombers, and last weekend, a wave of drones reportedly struck Moscow. Although Ukraine denies responsibility for these strikes, Russia complains of being the victim of terror attacks, despite inflicting significantly worse on Ukraine.

Four teenagers were injured in a fight near a sports facility in Eskilstuna, west of Stockholm. The incident is being classified as attempted murder and two young men have been detained. The injured boys were taken to a nearby hospital and the severity of their injuries is unclear. Sweden has seen an increase in violence in recent years, with shootings and stabbings by criminal gangs becoming more common. In 2022, there were 391 shootings in Sweden, of which 62 were fatal, marking a record. So far in 2022, there have been 131 shootings, most in the Stockholm area, of which 15 were fatal.

A man wanted for armed robbery was shot and killed by police in a grocery store parking lot in Vancouver, Washington. He was linked to the crimes through forensic genealogy and DNA analysis. Nilo worked in Manhattan, but lived in New Jersey and was extradited to Boston for arraignment.
