Washington Free Beacon: 'Always Available for You': Hunter Biden and His Associates Had Direct Contact With Joe Biden's Staff, Emails Show
'Always Available for You': Hunter Biden and His Associates Had Direct Contact With Joe Biden's Staff, Emails Show
New emails released by the National Archives indicate that Hunter Biden's business partners had significant influence in the then-vice president's office. The emails, released as part of a lawsuit, contradict President Joe Biden's previous statements that he had no knowledge of his son's business dealings. Hunter Biden's ex-business partner, Eric Schwerin, contacted the vice president's top aides to arrange for an associate to attend a State Department lunch with senior Chinese Communist Party officials in 2010. Republicans are currently scrutinizing the foreign business dealings of the Biden family.

One of the redacted emails released from the National Archives shows that Schwerin contacted Joe Biden's then-executive assistant Michele Smith in a message titled "China Lunch" on Nov. 19, 2010. The National Archives heavily redacted the emails, claiming executive privilege. However, unredacted versions of the emails located on Hunter Biden's hard drive reveal that Schwerin had informed Smith that Hunter Biden wanted to invite a Walmart board member to an upcoming State Department luncheon honoring then-Chinese President Hu Jintao. The emails demonstrate that Hunter Biden had extensive access to his father's staff, although they also reveal that he was not always welcome on Pennsylvania Avenue.

PJ Media: Is the Sleeping Conservative Dragon Finally Waking Up?
Is the Sleeping Conservative Dragon Finally Waking Up?
Traditionalists and conservatives are frustrated by the woke cultural revolution's ongoing presence as they see a lack of public support. Despite little backing for current border policies and illegal immigration, policies related to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) are increasingly popular. Traditionalists believe energy prices, urban crime, economic recessions, and politicized institutions are self-created messes, and they are dismayed that extremist policies with little popular support became institutionalized. Traditionalists are awakening from their slumber and engaging in boycotts, agitation, and activism against woke culture. Recently, Target, Anheuser-Busch, and Disney suffered from traditionalist boycotts over their DEI campaigns. The bicoastal elite still has the advantage, but conservatives are just beginning to breathe fire.

The bill now heads to the Senate, where Schumer has said he will not allow any Republican amendments.

Rep. Matt Gaetz Gets Drag Show on Military Base Canceled
A "child-friendly" drag queen show scheduled at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada was canceled after Rep. Matt Gaetz demanded answers from Pentagon leaders on why it was happening. Gaetz originally grilled Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley on whether they supported the use of military facilities for drag events back in March and presented them with evidence, which Austin and Milley said they did not support. According to NBC News, the show was approved by Air Force leaders, but Austin and Milley told the Air Force it is not DOD policy to fund drag shows on bases and the show should be canceled or moved off base.

Townhall: Time to Fully Support Our Drug Enforcers – If Not Now, When?
Time to Fully Support Our Drug Enforcers – If Not Now, When?
The US is facing a growing drug crisis that kills over 100,000 Americans each year, and requires focus and determination to manage. Social disruption from the pandemic, rising crime, and exploitation along the open borders have exacerbated the problem, which in turn exacerbates other problems like suicide, depression, and domestic violence. To reduce trafficking and abuse, governmental actions to target drug traffickers and dismantle organizations must be taken in addition to implementing compassionate and therapeutic responses promoting treatment and prevention. Congress needs to fund the most effective entities against drug trafficking and drug crime – like the DEA and the NG CDP – at their intended and necessary levels to tackle the monumental crisis.

Townhall: A Conversation With Lt. Col. Oliver North
A Conversation With Lt. Col. Oliver North
Retired Lieutenant Colonel Oliver North, along with co-authors David Goetsch and Archie Jones, discusses the infusion of Marxism into American universities and its impact on free speech and intellectual freedom. In their book "American Gulags: Marxist Tyranny in Higher Education and What to Do About It," the authors emphasize the importance of restoring Western values and principles, and countering the corrosive influence of woke-ism. They also provide policy prescriptions for those who wish to take action to preserve higher education.

Townhall: Some Democrats Give Hypocrisy A Bad Name On Education
Some Democrats Give Hypocrisy A Bad Name On Education
Democrats are hypocritical for exercising their right to send their children to non-public schools, while denying it to their constituents. The leadership of teachers unions also deprive families of their fundamental right to select the school of their choice, which is against the spirit of the landmark decision of Brown vs. Board of Education. School choice helps alleviate segregation in neighborhoods as children can leave their segregated school for an integrated one. Republicans believe in school choice for themselves and for all Americans, while Democrats practice a do-what-I-say-and-not-what-I-do form of governance.

‘Failed Progressive Utopia’: Oakland Residents Demand City Act on Crime
Residents in Oakland, California, have expressed frustration at rising crime rates during a community safety meeting, with some saying that they have become “victims of a failed progressive utopia”. Attendees shared stories of how violence has impacted their personal lives, with one woman describing a “brazen random assault” that saw two teenagers violently attack her outside her home. Business owners spoke about the impact of crime on their ability to earn a living safely. Oakland Police’s Chief Darren Allison has reported that the city saw 100 robberies in the space of one week, with authorities pinpointing a local robbery crew of nine children as being responsible for at least three dozen crimes.

West Virginia Boy, 16, Sentenced to 80 Years for Killing Mother, Sister
Connor Crowe, 16, has been sentenced to consecutive 40-year prison terms for fatally shooting his mother and sister when he was 13, after his plea for a shorter sentence was rejected by a West Virginia judge. Crowe pleaded guilty last November to second-degree murder and waived his right to be tried in juvenile court or by a jury. He will be eligible for parole after 15 years, and will remain in the juvenile justice system until his 18th birthday before he is transferred to an adult facility. The prosecutor said that Crowe knew his actions were wrong and attempted to cover up the crime.

Prosecution Against CIA Agent Accused of Abusing Women Could Collapse
Former CIA agent Brian Jeffrey Raymond's prosecution in Mexico City for sexually abusing multiple women could collapse due to questions on how authorities executed a warrant to search his iPhones. The defense argued that the agents violated Raymond's rights by conducting multiple searches beyond the initial search and badgering Raymond into giving up his passcode. The judge will now have to rule if the photographic evidence on Raymond's phone will have to be suppressed.

Derrick White Or Caleb Martin: Who Will Be This Year’s Playoff Paycheck?

White was a bright spot for Boston's inconsistent offense, averaging 13.4 points per game on 51% shooting from the floor and 46% shooting from beyond the arc, and may be a target for Boston to keep after a 4-year, $70 million deal.

The Epoch Times: Real-World Nuclear Fusion: Startup Secures Over $7 Million for Energy Machine
Real-World Nuclear Fusion: Startup Secures Over $7 Million for Energy Machine
Proxima Fusion has secured €7m ($7.48m) in pre-seed funding to develop a zero-carbon emissions fusion power plant, using the stellarator concept, with the first plant due by the 2030s. Fusion is the joining of two light atoms to create a larger atom, with the process significantly quicker than nuclear fission, the basis for current nuclear power plants. It is also much less environmentally destructive, producing no greenhouse gases or long-lasting radioactive waste. The length of time to develop methods of generating energy through commercial fusion power plants has been reduced in part by advances in the application of stellarator technology to create a magnetic confinement device.
