The Western Journal: Ex-Capitol Hill Police Chief Scorches Pelosi After She Tries Lecturing Trump on the National Guard
Former Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund refuted Nancy Pelosi's claims about President Trump's response to the January 6 Capitol riot. Sund stated he made 11 urgent calls for National Guard support, which were delayed for 71 minutes by the House Sergeant at Arms, reporting to Pelosi.
Pelosi's narrative that Trump refused to send the National Guard is contradicted by the timeline of events. The Defense Department confirmed that the National Guard was activated following requests from D.C. officials once the situation escalated.
Fox News: Poll: Majority of Democrats give thumbs-down to their leaders in Congress
A recent Quinnipiac University poll reveals that 53% of Democrats disapprove of their party's congressional performance, marking an all-time low approval rating of just 21%. In contrast, 79% of GOP voters approve of their congressional representatives, though overall Republican approval has declined since February.
The survey also indicates a drop in President Trump's approval ratings, with only 38% of voters expressing satisfaction with his performance, while 54% disapprove. This reflects a broader trend of dissatisfaction among Democrats and a slight decline in support for Republicans.
