Simpson listed a number of institutions people are taught not to trust such as the media, FBI, justice department, executive office, and election procedures. Although it is unclear if Simpson was criticizing the turnaround in thinking, he contributed to American's lack of trust after his arrest and trial for the murder of his ex-wife and her friend in 1994. Even though Simpson proclaimed his innocence, many Americans believed that he was guilty resulting in a schism between blacks and whites and a loss of faith in the justice system.

The Federalist Papers: Disaster at Solar Farms as Wildfire Smoke Appears During Peak Hours
Wildfires in Canada have caused power production from solar energy in parts of the eastern US to drop by more than 50%, with New England’s solar farms alone experiencing a 56% drop during peak demand times. The smoke from the fires is preventing solar power from hitting the panels and generating electricity, leading to a demand spike when homeowners and businesses use the grid instead. The share of power produced by solar energy sources dropped to 4% last week from 5% in the weeks leading up to last week. Gas rose to 45% of produced power, up from 40% in prior weeks, causing a price increase of about 9% due to less being stored for the high-use winter months.
