Trump Is ‘Toast’ If Indictment Charges Are True, Says Ex-Attorney General Bill Barr
Former U.S. Attorney General, William Barr, stated that if even half of what Donald Trump is accused of doing is true, then the former President is "toast". Barr made the statement during a Fox News interview with Shannon Bream where he addressed claims from Trump's allies that the indictment has to do with the Presidential Records Act and not the Espionage Act. The former attorney general noted that the Espionage Act only came into play when Trump would not return classified and very sensitive documents. Barr stated that if Trump had simply returned the documents when the National Archives requested them, he likely would not have been indicted.

He dismissed the indictment against Trump as politicized but also argued that Biden's judgment is worse for bringing a prosecution. Ramaswamy accused the media of protecting Biden by failing to ask questions about his involvement and accused them of doing the U.S. Government's bidding instead of holding it accountable.
