Breitbart: WATCH LIVE: Donald Trump Delivers Remarks at Georgia GOP Convention
Trump will speak at the Georgia Republican Party's state convention in Columbus, his first public appearance since being indicted on 38 federal counts. He is also scheduled to speak at the North Carolina Republican Party's state convention later that evening.
The Federalist Papers: Biden Laughs Off Bribery Allegations with Bizarre Response in Front of UK Prime Minister
President Biden dismissed an allegation that he accepted a multimillion-dollar bribe as “a bunch of malarkey” during a press conference with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. South Carolina GOP Representative Nancy Mace alleges that there is “damning evidence in the FBI file that you sold out the country." Republican Representative Byron Donalds of Florida responded, "Joe, the money is hidden in the DOZENS of LLCs you & your family created to HIDE THE MONEY," adding that the FD-1023 form shows, "Money was being moved through several accounts — multiple accounts — to get to Joe Biden."
Daily Wire: Biden Energy Secretary Admits She Owned Individual Stocks, Contradicting Previous Testimony
Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm has admitted owning individual stocks, despite previously testifying to the contrary. Granholm divested from the non-conflicting stocks last month to match her testimony before the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee on April 20. She also disclosed that her husband had owned $2,457.89 worth of shares in Ford, which were subsequently sold off. The disclosure was criticized by Senator John Barrasso, who claimed that Granholm had a history of failure to follow basic ethics and disclosure rules. Granholm previously faced criticism in January 2022 for violating a stock disclosure law.
Breitbart: German Govt Could Ban Right-Wing AfD, State-Funded Agency Says
The German Institute for Human Rights (DIMR) has suggested that banning the right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) party could prevent its growth. The organisation, which is funded by the German government, recommended outlawing the party in a report on the populists. The AfD has seen its popularity surge recently due to public dissatisfaction with the government's handling of issues including COVID-19 and immigration.
The DIMR claims the AfD aims to abolish the democratic order in Germany, and even went so far as to suggest that parts of the party subscribe to Nazi thinking. AfD EU parliamentarian Dr Gunnar Beck dismissed the claims as politically motivated and suggested any ban would be unlikely to succeed in court.
American Thinker: Trump did not violate the law because he could not violate the law
Conservatives argue that Trump cannot be guilty of the crimes with which he is charged because of his position as President when he took possession of the vital documents. The Espionage Act of 1917, on which the charges are based, cannot be applied to the Trump situation. Presidential power over national security matters supersedes anything Congress or administrative employees can do. The president cannot be subject to Congress with regards to national security, and cafeterial workers v. McElroy concluded that when the president has plenary power, even due process requirements must fall before it. Finally, the president's authority over national security matters has been recognized since the end of WWII.
National Review: The Corner: Covid and ‘Disinformation’
A government Covid unit in the UK was regularly in contact with social media companies to encourage the removal of posts it deemed to constitute false information. The Counter Disinformation Unit (CDU), which had already been accused of suppressing free speech during the pandemic, also monitored social media posts by scientists, including respected figures who were questioning government lockdown policy and vaccine passports. The disclosure of the CDU’s actions has prompted calls for the unit to be disbanded and for a parliamentary enquiry to be held. Former Conservative Cabinet minister David Davis accused the CDU of interfering in democracy.
American Thinker: Here we go again: Another supply chain crisis hits America's ports, and where's Pete Buttigieg?
A new supply chain crisis looms, with ships piling up in West Coast ports and prices spiking amid a labor fight between port operators and workers. Concerns are rising that the disruption could lead to shortages or higher prices. Lawmakers worry that this could ripple through the economy and hit all sorts of consumer goods in a repeat of supply chain problems following pandemic shutdowns.
Despite appointing two czars and billions in new infrastructure spending, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg is nowhere to be seen as the new supply chain crisis looms. Ships are piling up in West Coast ports and prices are spiking due to a labor fight between port operators and workers. Lawmakers are concerned that this could lead to shortages or higher prices and are worried about the ripple effect on the economy. Meanwhile, Buttigieg has been traveling, indulging in public relations and giving his opinion on issues that have nothing to do with supply chains.
Fox News: Native American tribe plans protests, considers suing Biden admin over oil-leasing crackdown
The president of the Navajo Nation plans to take legal action against the Biden administration's oil-leasing ban, which affects Navajo citizens. The Navajo Justice Department is considering litigation after Interior Secretary Deb Haaland's order to ban oil, gas, and mineral leasing within 10 miles of the Chaco Culture National Historical Park in New Mexico for 20 years. Nygren, the Navajo Nation President, argues that the ban harms low-income Navajo citizens, who depend on revenue from leasing their allotments mainly to fossil fuel companies. Native American leaders and Republican lawmakers have criticized Haaland's action, which they argue undermines tribal sovereignty and constitutes a "taking" of tribal lands.

Fox News: Biden speaks at White House Pride event: 'Bravest and most inspiring people I've ever known'
President Biden hosted a Pride Month event at the White House, celebrating the LGBT community as an "example" to the world. The event featured performers and speakers, including the First Lady and a health and fitness coach who talked about discrimination faced by lesbian mothers in conservative states. The President expressed his support for the community, specifically mentioning his endorsement of "LGBTQ children" and "transgender children."
Red State: EXCLUSIVE: California’s Civil Rights Division's Cisco Lawsuit Is the Father of the Caste Discrimination Bill SB 403
California lawmakers are pushing to outlaw caste discrimination with SB 403, a bill that seeks to add caste as a protected class by modifying state civil rights laws. The bill follows a caste-based discrimination lawsuit against Cisco, but it has faced opposition from some in the Southeast Asian community. Critics question why the government needs to become involved in a cultural issue that affects a specific community and point to the excesses of California regulatory bodies that have already caused harm in the state's fossil fuel and independent contractor industries.
Fox News: Jennifer Aniston, 54, fires back at people who compliment her age: ‘I can’t stand it’
Jennifer Aniston dislikes the phrase "you look great for your age" that she considers a backhanded compliment. According to the 54-year-old "Friends" star, it's a habit of society, and she doesn't understand its meaning. Aniston said that people should instead say, "you look great -- period." She reflects on her youth and confessed that she feels stronger now in her 50s as compared to her 20s.
Breitbart: CA Bill: Non-Affirmation of Child’s 'Gender Identity' Against Child's 'Best Interests' in Custody Disputes
A California bill adds parental affirmation of their child’s gender identity to factors considered in custody disputes. Critics fear that non-affirmation could be considered abuse. State Senator Scott Wiener co-authored the bill with Assemblywoman Lori Wilson, who disputed that the revision changes the bill, saying it only pertains to family law. The bill passed the Assembly with 51 Democrats in support and will soon be heard by the First Senate committee. The updated language does not define “gender affirmation” and equates non-affirmation with parental abuse or neglect.

Breitbart: UK Commits Another £150 million to House Ukrainian Refugees in Britain
The UK government is committing an additional £150m to assist Ukrainian refugees in finding long-term housing and employment in the country as part of its Homes for Ukraine scheme. The program has relocated 124,000 Ukrainians to the UK since the Russian invasion last year, with hosts receiving a monthly stipend during the first two years. The move has been criticized by some, however, with the British Red Cross stating that many accommodations provided for free were "inappropriate", while an ironic Channel 4 report revealed that some refugees complained of the level of diversity in the UK.

Breitbart: 'A Sanely Run Platform:' Facebook Promises Employees that Its Twitter Clone Will Be Censored
Facebook plans to launch a stand-alone app, internally dubbed Project 92, to directly compete with Twitter. Facebook's CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, claims that the company is responding to the need for “a sanely run platform," which may suggest censorship on the new platform. The company is also reportedly in talks with public figures like the Dalai Lama and Oprah Winfrey to use the app, and Facebook's Chief Product Officer, Chris Cox, expressed eagerness to release the app soon. Zuckerberg also expressed his opinions on Apple's recently unveiled Vision Pro headset and emphasized Facebook's ongoing work in generative AI.
