The American Spectator: Tear Down the Social Media Bastille
Tear Down the Social Media Bastille
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is being dismissed by big media outlets as a conspiracy theorist/nutjob, but during a two-hour Twitter conversation with Elon Musk and others, Kennedy and his team talked about things the establishment got wrong after shutting down alternative theories, including the origins of the coronavirus and the fact that the COVID vaccines did not stop transmission. The New York Post was right to report Hunter Biden's laptop story, while the New York Times was wrong to wait. Michael Shellenberger, a participant in "Reclaiming Democracy," believes that the conversation could be the tech industry's first foray to take down Silicon Valley’s Bastille.

Debra J. Saunders, a fellow at the Discovery Institute’s Chapman Center for Citizen Leadership, disagrees with RFK Jr on several issues, but believes he has a right to say what he believes. Instagram shutting down Kennedy's account because of “debunked claims about the coronavirus vaccines” was un-American. Saunders warns that if you shut down the speech of one free-thinker, you might miss out on something the pack scientists missed. Rich Thau, president of Engagious, sees in Kennedy a Democrat who isn’t moving toward the middle so much as offering “an interesting collection of positions.” He feels public distrust growing among Americans who aren’t paying attention to what Washington actually is doing, and he asks focus-group participants who they’d pick as president if they could just wave a magic wand.

Jim Jordan: 'This Is a Sad Day for Equal Application of the Law'
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) claimed on "Hannity" that the indictments of former President Donald Trump show the existence of a two-tiered justice system in America. Jordan cited an email from the Biden administration asking Twitter to remove a tweet by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Joe Biden's family's financial dealings with foreign nationals as evidence of election interference. He also compared Trump's treatment by the justice system to that of Hillary Clinton, stating that "the country knows it's wrong."

Spectator USA: The rise of fake libraries
The rise of fake libraries
The trend of fake books is on the rise, with designers promoting them as quirky storage solutions. The focus on the appearance of books over their content is sparked by the rise of social media, where beautifully designed books garner more attention and followers. However, this trend has alarming implications, as arranging books by their physical appearance rather than their content risks losing the literary value of books.

The American Spectator: Countering Fr. Martin’s Madness
Countering Fr. Martin’s Madness
Jesuit James Martin celebrates both the deeply Catholic Month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and , calling them complementary. He rationalizes his stance by arguing that there are two kinds of pride: vanity and "a consciousness of one’s own human dignity." His fellow Catholics argue that sin is disobedience to God, and that pride is one of the "capital sins" from which other sins and vices flow. The "pride" movement reduces the individual to no more than his or her sexual desires. The Church encourages those with same-sex desires to live chaste lives, to become more than just their sexual desires and impulses, and to approach Christian perfection.
