Fox News: Militia members wanted to ‘start a war’ at the border, murder migrants and Border Patrol agents: Prosecutors
Tennessee and Missouri militia members planned to start a war against illegal immigrants and Border Patrol agents at the southern border, according to a 44-count indictment by a federal grand jury. The pair collected firearms, ammunition, and other supplies, and were charged with attempted murder of FBI agents, assault with a deadly weapon, and using firearms in a crime. They are in federal custody without bond after separate detention hearings, and are considered a danger to the community. The Border Patrol, dealing with a migrant crisis in its third year, recently announced the appointment of Jason Owens as the Del Rio Sector's chief to replace Raul Ortiz.

Forbes: Bill Would Strip PGA Tour Of Tax-Exempt Status After Saudi Merger Announcement
The PGA Tour's announced merger with Saudi-backed LIV Golf has prompted Rep. John Garamendi (D-CA) to introduce the "No Corporate Tax Exemption for Professional Sports Act", which would strip the tour of its tax-exempt status. The bill would disallow "a professional sports league, organization, or association...from electing 501(c)(6) status under the Tax Code." The PGA Tour is currently tax-exempt under section 501(c)(6) of the Tax Code and, according to filings for the 2021 fiscal year, took in $1.6bn in revenues. Garamendi opposes the merger, arguing that it allows Saudi Arabia to "sports wash" its human rights abuses.
Breitbart: Govt Can Spy Through Phone Cameras, Microphones: French Senate
French authorities are one step closer to being granted the right to spy on individuals using cameras and microphones embedded in private electronic devices, as a controversial bill passes its first reading in the French Senate. Although the spying powers are proposed to be restricted to individuals involved in specific types of crime, many in the country’s opposition remain concerned that this measure would effectively leave “the door open to widespread surveillance” in France, prompting dismay from digital freedom groups. The bill also permits tracking of a person’s movements using geolocation data on their device.
The Epoch Times: Trump Indictment Fails Crucial Test: Dershowitz
Former President Donald Trump's federal indictment fails a crucial test, says law professor Alan Dershowitz. Two paragraphs in the indictment do appear to meet the standard of the planned prosecution of former President Nixon, according to the law professor. The indictment charges Trump with various crimes, including illegally disclosing national defense information.
The indictment alleges that Trump showed an unidentified writer, publisher, and staff members a “highly confidential” plan to attack a country. Trump has said that he declassified documents before leaving office. Dershowitz represented Trump during one of his impeachment trials and said that one question is whether Trump actually declassified the documents.
Red State: Kari Lake Drops Jaws With Her Controversial Response to the Donald Trump Indictment
Conservative political figures are criticizing the indictment of Donald Trump for mishandling classified documents and obstructing justice, citing the selectiveness of it when Hillary Clinton committed similar crimes and was not indicted. However, there are concerns about inflammatory statements from political figures, such as Kari Lake, who is using the situation for personal gain and encouraging illegal acts that could result in prison time for others. Despite emotions running high, people should not fall into the trap of breaking the law, as it will not stop the DOJ from prosecuting Trump and could give them a new crop of Republicans to go after.
Breitbart: Newsom: Biden Flying Migrants into Small Airports in the Night Is 'Not Perfect' -- But There's a 'Different Spirit' and He Coordinates
California Governor Gavin Newsom criticized Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and called the migrant flights done by the Biden administration a "stunt" in an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity. Hannity questioned why the illegal immigrants were being landed at Westchester Airport instead of LaGuardia or Kennedy, suggesting that they were being sneaked in when states weren't looking. Newsom defended the Biden administration, saying that they coordinate with NGOs and that while it's not perfect, it's different from what DeSantis is doing.

National Review: The Corner: California Is Waging an Ever-More-Aggressive LGBT Culture War
California legislators are attempting to impose legal hegemony furthering LGBT agendas with two new bills. The first would favor a parent championing gender affirmation, while the second requires health insurance to cover the high costs of fertility services for same-sex couples. These bills are part of a cultural campaign dressing sexual identity as a priority, and these uses of force to impose way of life values will likely be exported.
The Federalist Papers: Kirk Cameron Calls Out Bud Light, Then Gives Brand a Lesson in Anti-Woke Advertising
Christian activist Kirk Cameron offers free advice to Bud Light in a viral ad, telling the beer company to "read the room." Bud Light's decline in sales is due to the transgender "influencer" Dylan Mulvaney which is a turn-off for Bud Light's conservative consumers. On the other hand, Brave Books, Cameron's publishing company, "teaches traditional values" and aims to create "content for kids that is safe for them to enjoy". Cameron urges consumers to invest in companies that build strong values and benefit the country like his own Brave Books.

The Epoch Times: South Korea Summons China Envoy Over ‘Provocative’ Remarks About US Ties
South Korea has criticised Chinese envoy Xing Haiming's "provocative" remarks on US-South Korea relations, which allegedly constitute internal interference. Xing allegedly suggested South Korea remove "interference of external factors" in handling relations with China, adding the US is trying to "suppress China". South Korea summoned China's top envoy for addressing the opposition leader and making comments on China-ROK relations, saying Xing's remarks violated diplomatic protocol and constituted interference in internal affairs. South Korea has no option but to strengthen its alliance with the United States if China refuses to participate in UN sanctions against North Korea's violations, President Yoon Suk Yeol said in response.

The Epoch Times: Spike in US Corporate Bankruptcies, Number of Filings Highest in Over a Decade
Corporate bankruptcies in the United States rose with the first five months of 2023 having the highest number of filings since 2010. There were 54 corporate bankruptcy filings in May, with consumer discretionary companies accounting for the most filings.
Commercial Chapter 11 bankruptcy filings rose by 105% in May 2023 from a year back. Almost half of these filings were made by corporate subsidiaries. Bankruptcies are happening even though the United States is still to be hit by a recession. A key factor attributed to the rise of bankruptcies is that banks are not lending.
Breitbart: German Economist ‘Warns’ Rise of Populism Will Hinder Immigration
Increasing populism in Germany may slow immigration into the country, warns Marcel Fratzscher, President of the German Institute for Economic Research. The warning comes as the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party surges ahead in the polls, and Fratzscher warns that the party's continued rise would result in economic damage since "German companies will be able to keep up with global competition less and less". However, the DIW does not discuss the impact of the country's "open society", which has caused catastrophic damage to the country's industry due to a rapid rise in energy costs. There are fears that this could lead to permanent deindustrialisation, as firms flee abroad.

The Epoch Times: Zuckerberg: Establishment Asked to Censor COVID-19 Posts That Ended Up Being True
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg acknowledged that Big Tech was asked to censor COVID-19 information, some of which turned out to be true. U.S. officials pressured Facebook and Instagram to censor "mis- and disinformation" about COVID-19. Facebook replied by shutting down groups that contained content "that can be framed as sensational, alarmist, or shocking." Zuckerberg stressed his pro-freedom of speech stance, but New Civil Liberties Alliance lawyer Casey Norman found his remarks "evasive." Zuckerberg also said Facebook works to fight child pornography on its platforms.

Jill and Derick also claimed that they relied on food banks while appearing on "Counting On" and that their relationship with TLC came to an end when they refused to return to the United States from El Salvador for a shoot.
