Fernandez said it was important to create an infrastructure that allows companies to integrate DE&I into their ecosystem in a way that truly drives business.

In Yunnan Province, China, Chinese Muslims clashed with armed police trying to demolish parts of a 13th-century mosque to make it “Chinese-style”. Viral videos show protesters attempting to stop the demolition work, which was met with violent police response. Local authorities called the incident a disruption of social order and have given protesters until June 6 to turn themselves in. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been “sinicising” religion in China, and Muslim buildings are expected to have Chinese palatial domes as opposed to Islamic-style ones. Several Western and Middle Eastern media outlets covered the incident.
