The comments have been called "hate-filled and dangerous" by New York Democrats. Jewish groups and allies have demanded that CUNY Law lose funding after the student's "vile" anti-Israel commencement speech.

Alliance Global Group is set to acquire the 40% stake held by its troubled partner Genting Hong Kong in their joint company Travellers International, owner of Newport World Resorts hotel and casino in Manila. Financial details have yet to be disclosed, but taking full ownership of the casino is a promising move for Alliance Global, as Travellers was the fastest-growing business segment of the group this year, with the hotel and casino operations returning to profit as revenue surged 60% to $139m in Q1. Newport World Resorts, formerly Resorts World Manila, will be 100% owned by Alliance Global once the deal is finalized.

Fox News: US expatriate arrested in Atlanta airport after allegedly threatening US senator and Marines
An American citizen living in Thailand was arrested in Atlanta over allegations he made threats of violence towards Republican lawmakers, their staff and U.S. Marines. Welton, who was arrested by FBI agents upon his return to the U.S., is accused of calling the offices of Republican elected officials and threatening to show up and "put a bullet through each of [their] heads." He is also charged with making threats against Marines and others working at the U.S. Consulate in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
If convicted, Welton faces up to ten years in prison. U.S. Attorney Michael Easley emphasized that "violent threats against our democratically elected representatives do not just erode our civil discourse – they can undermine our democracy." FBI Special Agent in Charge Robert M. DeWitt echoed this, stating that "when threats are directed at elected officials or members of the armed forces it can impact their ability to serve our country effectively."

An 11-year-old boy who called police for help was shot in the chest by an officer in Mississippi, leaving him with a collapsed lung, fractured ribs, and a lacerated liver. Despite his injuries, the boy survived and has filed a $5m lawsuit against the city of Indianola, Indianola Police Chief Ronald Sampson, Officer Greg Capers and others. The lawsuit claims excessive force, negligence, and a violation of Aderrien’s constitutional rights, among others. The family is also calling for the officer to be fired and for better training for police officers.
