Fox News: Why the media have turned on Ron DeSantis
Why the media have turned on Ron DeSantis
Media outlets are predicting that former President Trump will be the Republican nominee, with Florida governor Ron DeSantis as his closest rival. However, DeSantis has been the subject of sustained media attacks, which some see as being potentially orchestrated. Previously hailed as a giant-killer, DeSantis is now struggling, and some see the negative coverage as linked to a desire to prevent Trump from a second term. Others argue that DeSantis needs to do more to tell his personal story and reach out to moderates if he wants to appeal beyond the Republican base.

GOP Rep. Davidson: We Have 'Best Debt Ceiling Deal' Since 2011, We Didn't Get Work Requirements with GOP Congress and Trump
Rep. Warren Davidson claims that the current debt limit bill is the best deal since he joined Congress in 2016 and the Budget Control Act of 2011, with its work requirements being a significant achievement. Despite being watered down, the work requirements managed to pass under this agreement, something that could not be done with a Republican-controlled House and Senate under Trump's presidency.

Japanese Court: Refusing to Recognize Same-Sex Marriage Is Unconstitutional
Japanese court rules that failing to recognize same-sex marriages is unconstitutional, as it violates both Article 14 and Article 24 of the constitution. The decision follows a similar but more limited ruling by the Sapporo District Court in 2021. The government and Prime Minister Kishida Fumio's Liberal Democratic Party do not currently support same-sex marriage, and it is uncertain if legislative action will be taken.

Only Good Food Can Salvage The Sucky Restaurant Experience
Dining out has become a miserable affair with restaurants resorting to tricks to keep customers. Good food and service should be the bare minimum, not an added value, and excessive gimmicks only justify unjustifiable prices. Simple solutions include providing menus and real gratuities, good hygiene, and reasonably priced food.

Fox News: AI is the future of health care, but here's what it can never replace
AI is the future of health care, but here's what it can never replace
Artificial intelligence (AI) has made its way into the doctor's office, helping doctors make more accurate diagnoses and treatments. AI systems can generate personalized recommendations based on individual patient characteristics, such as genetic profiles, medical history, and lifestyle factors, and assist in risk stratification to predict future diseases. AI algorithms also improve image quality and anomaly detection on image modalities, potentially improving accuracy, decreasing false-positive interpretations, and improving overall efficiency. While AI can automate administrative tasks, caution must be taken to ensure patients receive best practices with human consideration, and ethical considerations remain essential in the integration of AI in healthcare.

The Epoch Times: Nebraska Implements Its First School Choice Program
Nebraska Implements Its First School Choice Program
Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen signed legislation introducing the state’s first school choice program, which will provide tax credits for scholarships with priority for children in certain circumstances. The program’s highest priority includes students who received a scholarship in the previous year or students who are siblings of those who received a scholarship and live in the same household. The second priority is given to those whose household income doesn’t exceed the poverty level, and those who were previously denied from enrolling into another public school, have an individualized education plan, or are subject to bullying or other forms of harassment. Those who are in foster care or who have parents serving or had died while serving in the military are also given priority. Supporters say that the program will change the lives of children and their families in bringing them the freedom to attend a school that best fits the child’s needs. Opponents have said the measure may threaten funding for public schools.

The Federalist: Opt Out Of 'Pride' Month Activities At Your Child's School
Opt Out Of 'Pride' Month Activities At Your Child's School
A Catholic mother of a child with Down syndrome in Los Angeles is outraged after her son was subjected to transgender indoctrination during a school assembly. The school has moved "pride events" up to May so that it does not conflict with summer vacation. The mother confronted the principal with her concerns and requested to be notified in advance so that she can remove her son from such events in the future. Opting out is the only choice for parents to protect their children from this forced rainbow indoctrination, which even includes newborns and children with Down syndrome.

Front Page Magazine: FBI Further Exposed
FBI Further Exposed
Whistleblowers have exposed issues with the FBI's malfeasance, but the media now dismisses their validity, in contrast to the defense of previous whistleblowers. The House Judiciary Committee has requested details from Director Christopher Wray regarding the investigation of pipe bombs found at RNC and DNC headquarters prior to the January 6 riot. Wray has refused to attend briefings on this matter for the third time, including after whistleblowers raised concerns about the "unusual" nature of the FBI's investigative efforts. The FBI's failure to comply with the request and provide answers only leads to more questions.

Miami man helps ID father's killer 62 years after businessman was murdered
Frances DiMare fatally shot her husband Joseph in 1961. Six decades later, the killer has been identified thanks to Richard DiMare, who collected evidence of the shooting and provided it to cold case aficionado Paul Novack. Evidence included a bloodstain pattern analysis and ballistics. Police determined that organized crime might have helped cover up the crime in 1961, but Frances pulled the trigger herself.

FC Barcelona And Inter Miami Join Forces To Sign Messi And Thwart Al-Hilal Plot: Reports
FC Barcelona and Inter Miami have reportedly joined forces to stop Al Hilal from signing Lionel Messi. The Argentine's father and agent has contacted La Liga for an update on Barca's viability plan to bring him back to the club, and the Middle Eastern team has reportedly offered Messi an astronomical €350 million ($375 million) deal. Barca and Inter Miami's partnership could see Messi play one last season in Blaugrana colors before heading to the US, where Argentina will defend their Copa America title in the summer of 2024. Inter Miami has made a formal offer for Messi but has ruled out any kind of lending the player to the Catalans.

Front Page Magazine: Iran's Mullahs on Killing Spree
Iran's Mullahs on Killing Spree
Iran's appointment of Ambassador Ali Bahreini as chair of the UN Human Rights Council Social Forum in November will make a mockery of human rights, as Iran is the leading violator of these principles. The regime has executed at least 92 prisoners and transferred dozens of prisoners on death row to solitary cells in a killing spree designed to terrorize the population and quell political unrest. How can an agent of the mullahs’ regime take on this role during such a killing frenzy? The UN and the world must support the Iranian people in taking down their tyrants.

The recently leaked Iranian foreign ministry files show how the regime has gone into overdrive to secure the release of registered Iranian diplomat Assadollah Assadi, who was caught passing a bomb to co-conspirators instructed to detonate it at a major Iranian opposition rally in Paris. The documents illuminate how Tehran has taken a Belgian charity worker hostage in Iran and sentenced him to 40 years imprisonment and 74 lashes to try to negotiate a prisoner exchange with Belgium. Justice and freedom are contagious, and the world must support the Iranian people in taking down their tyrants. The UN Human Rights Council must rescind the nomination of Ali Bahreini for the role of chair of the Social Forum.

The Federalist: Feds Sketch Blueprint For Regulating Everyone’s Private Life
Feds Sketch Blueprint For Regulating Everyone’s Private Life
Google reports record searches for ways to make friends, reflecting the loneliness epidemic. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy’s advisory on America’s loneliness epidemic proposes a strategy fraught with threats to freedom, including government invasion of private spaces, control of social associations, and dictating acceptable values, reinforced by surveillance. The report says nothing about the root causes of the loneliness epidemic, which is partly caused by government policies that weaken human bonds. The government plans to expand its power and influence to promote social connection among people, impose leftist agenda items, and track and monitor social connection and disconnection of individuals.

Front Page Magazine: Stranger in Moscow
Stranger in Moscow
Ronald Reagan delivered a landmark speech at Moscow State University in 1988, in which he enthused about the technological revolution and urged young Soviets to embrace freedom. He emphasized that individual experimentation and freedom were driving forces behind technological advancements, and that they were impossible without freedom. He enticed the Soviet audience with the idea of being able to travel the world and to enjoy U.S. media. While Reagan had a rosy vision of the future, he did not foresee the rise of social media, online division, the 9/11 attacks and the subsequent wars, and the transformation of corporations into financiers of socialism.
