Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson Ignores Residents' Opposition, Fills College with 300 Border Crossers
Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson has filled Wilbur Wright College with over 300 border crossers and illegal aliens, despite opposition from local residents in the Northwest Side. The individuals, who have taken advantage of President Biden's Catch and Release network at the southern border, do not have ties to the United States. Residents have spoken out against the city's plans to turn their neighborhood into a migrant encampment, noting concerns for seniors, children, and disabled individuals in the area. The move has outraged both Northwestern and Southside residents, who have taken legal action to prevent former schools from being transformed into migrant shelters.

Bill Limiting Insulin Cost to $35 Passes California Senate
California Senate passed a legislation sponsored by the American Diabetes Association that would limit the cost of a 30-day supply of insulin to $35, while prohibiting insurance companies from imposing other cost-sharing on insulin prescriptions. Senate Bill 90 was unanimously approved on May 22 and is now under consideration in the state Assembly. One-fourth of Americans who take insulin ration the medication to pay for other necessities, according to national surveys.
