Washington Free Beacon: Trump Says He'll End Birthright Citizenship for Illegal Immigrants' Children if Reelected President
Donald Trump promises to ban birthright citizenship for children of illegal immigrants if he is reelected, saying it will deter more migrants from coming and encourage many of the aliens Joe Biden has unlawfully let into the country to go back to their homes. He called it an "unfair practice" and said he will end "birth tourism" on his first day in office. However, former House speaker Paul Ryan, a Republican, said in 2018 that Trump cannot do that through an executive order and that conservatives believe in the Constitution, which guarantees the right to citizenship to people born in the U.S. and subject to its jurisdiction.

The Epoch Times: O'Toole Says CSIS Told Him He Was Target of Beijing-Backed Voter Suppression, Misinformation Campaigns
Former Conservative leader Erin O’Toole says that the Canadian Security Intelligence Service informed him that he and his party were targeted by Beijing in a voter suppression and misinformation campaign during the 2021 federal election. O’Toole believes that the Liberal government and Canada’s security agencies failed to inform him of the foreign interference during the election, as well as breached his privileges as a member of parliament and leader of the opposition.
Newsbusters: AUDIO: Mark Levin Shreds Rep. Jamie Raskin on Debt Ceiling
Conservative radio host Mark Levin criticized Rep. Jamie Raskin for suggesting that Biden could use the 14th Amendment to ignore the debt ceiling. Levin lambasted Raskin, stating that the Constitution did not support this idea. Raskin had argued that “the 14th Amendment is an imperative” for the president. Levin called this assertion a “fantasy” and criticized the left for dishonestly interpreting the Constitution.
Levin also called out Raskin’s incorrect statement that section IV of the 14th Amendment applies to the current debt ceiling issue. Raskin further tried to attack the idea that members of Congress could sue the president for using constitutionally dubious legal theories on the debt ceiling. Levin stated that the House of Representatives would have standing and called on conservatives to contact MSNBC and demand it stop legitimizing this idea.

The FBI claimed concerns about informant confidentiality and that the whistleblower’s tips were unverified. Fox News: Where do moderate Democrats, Republicans stand on the debt ceiling deal as pivotal votes loom?
Lawmakers from both parties are keeping their views on President Biden's debt deal quiet, but moderates are seen as pivotal to whether it will pass. Those down the middle votes from both parties not necessarily known for toeing their respective party lines could be the only chance for the bill to reach the necessary simple-majority for it to pass. Most members from both parties have kept their views on the bill quiet, but one group is being seen as pivotal to whether it ultimately ends up back on Biden's desk, or if the nation defaults on its debt for the first time in history: moderates.
Sen. Joe Manchin, who helped broker the agreement, all but guaranteed his support for the legislation by touting its inclusion of a provision fast-tracking the approval of a natural gas pipeline in his home state. While Sen. Mitt Romney said in a statement posted on social media that "this deal is good for the country in that it prevents a default and subsequent financial meltdown, while also limiting spending."Should it pass the House, the bill will then head to the Senate, where Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has said he will move it through as quickly as possible.

Washington Free Beacon: Transgender-Identifying Boys Are No-Show at California Track Championships
Two transgender-identifying boys withdrew from the California high school track and field championships due to discrimination, following backlash over their participation. The runners, Athena Ryan and Lorelei Barrett, did not compete in the girls' 1,600-meter race after concerns for their well-being forced them to withdraw. Transgender-identifying boys' participation in female sports has sparked controversy across the US with some stating that it puts girls in dangerous and unfair situations. California state laws allow transgender students to participate in single-sex teams they identify with. However, at least 21 states have enacted laws or policies that ban transgender-identifying boys from playing on school sports teams with women and girls.

The Epoch Times: Apollo Astronauts Say US Needs to Take Space Seriously as Front in 'New Cold War' With China
Veteran moonwalkers of the Apollo Program say that the US needs to take space seriously as a front in a "new Cold War" with China. Harrison Schmitt of Apollo 17, a former senator, said that space was a crucial aspect of US victory in the Cold War with the Soviet Union and that the US needed to take it just as seriously now. Charles Duke of Apollo 16 agreed, adding concerns that ongoing trends in American universities threaten the US goal by creating opportunities for China. Rusty Schweikert of Apollo 9 called for cooperation instead of competition in space, and Randolph Bresnik of Artemis II said he hoped humanity wouldn't militarize space.

The Epoch Times: When Will There Be a New Global Order?
The current global strategic architecture, including the "rules-based world order," is dead or moving into abeyance. This order was a reflection of the power structure of Western states, primarily the United States, and was sustained by institutions such as the UN. This order has evolved from earlier periods of regional or global dominance, such as Pax Americana or Pax Britannica. The end of this order has been determined by the exhaustion of the US and Western systems rather than an aspirant power. The restructuring of the global balance is creating a system vastly different from Cold War I in terms of geopolitical alignments, and it will be primarily determined by a return to fluid power projection modalities more akin to those of the 19th century rather than the 20th century.

Daily Wire: U.S. Faces Massive Shortage Of Prescription Drugs
Drug shortages in the US are impacting potentially life-saving treatments, with painkillers to cancer drugs affected. Hospitals are having to regularly review which medicines are in short supply each week, affecting over 90% of US prescriptions. The generic drug market is one of the worst affected by the shortage, with over 130 drugs experiencing an active shortage, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The American Society of Health reports 301 drug shortages as of 1Q 2023. Chemotherapies for breast cancers, ovarian cancers, lung cancers, bladder cancers and some types of leukemia have been disrupted or delayed, with fatal repercussions.
Observers attribute the drug shortages to disruptions in the global supply chain, with roughly 80% of pharmaceutically active ingredients manufactured outside the US, including China, which has been deemed a problematic international supplier. Doctors are also oversupplying antibiotics with consumers engaging in panic buying of medicine, creating self-fulfilling shortages, and overuse of such drugs is rendering them ineffective. The industry, which has seen a rise in drug shortages but a drop in generic drug prices by 50% since 2016, is largely unprofitable for newcomers, given that many lifesaving drugs are not profitable to make and have a narrow margin of profit, creating disincentives to enter the industry.

Protests against the bill have taken place, and the ACLU has filed lawsuits against other states for similar restrictions.

Skilled Survival: How To Charge A Phone Without A Charger From Anywhere
Learn about six ways to charge a phone without a charger. The first option is to plug it into a computer's USB port, as modern smartphone chargers are all USB-based. Another solution is to use a battery pack or a solar charger, which is the best option since you can technically charge your phone forever without grid power if you buy the right one. Other methods include using a hand-crank radio, a car charger, or a wireless charger, but they require a power source. Off-grid power solutions, like solar chargers or hand crank radios, provide a higher level of resiliency and features, making them a wise survival investment.
