Human Events: BREAKING: DeSantis slumps in voter support since announcing
presidential run, pollster tells Jack Posobiec
Poll director Richard Baris indicates that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis experienced a dip in numbers after his announcement to run for presidency filled with technical difficulties. Younger, academic, and previously interested voters have returned to supporting Trump, and older voters found DeSantis' announcement confusing. DeSantis committed to domestic policies rather than foreign affairs and immigration, causing concerns among some voters. Many who had supported Trump four years ago but had voted for Biden in 2020 report that they made a mistake.
The Economist: Poland’s government creates a commission with the power to bar people from politics
Poland's ruling party, PiS, has passed a new law creating a nine-person state commission to investigate Russian influence operations, but some see it as a potential tool for banning political opponents in the upcoming election. The members of the panel will be chosen by parliament, which is currently dominated by PiS, and the chair will be appointed by the prime minister and vice-president of PiS, Mateusz Morawiecki. The commission has sweeping powers, including access to Poland's most secret records and the ability to bar from public office anyone it claims helped Russia, for up to ten years. The law is viewed by sixty-one percent of Poles as a pre-election ploy to discredit political opponents.
Ukraine's Danube ports are becoming a lifeline following the country's Black Sea trade largely being blocked by Russia. The country is currently on the US's list of "Countries Investigated for IP Theft," and Ukraine's tech industry is seeking international support while university students in the country are using low-tech ways to spread information.

The Epoch Times: ‘Apartheid All Over Again,’ as South Africa’s Ruling ANC Set to Pass New Race-Based Job Laws
South Africa's governing African National Congress (ANC) has introduced employment equity legislation, which will ban "non-black" African employees across most of the country's economy, under the ANC's affirmative action and black economic empowerment policies. Industries such as mining, agriculture, manufacturing and finance will be affected, and in some cases the target set for firms employing whites, Indians and those of mixed race is zero percent. The legislation is designed to promote diversity and equality in the workplace, however, critics argue that the amendments amount to establishing racial quotas. The Democratic Alliance (DA) estimates that almost 600,000 South Africans would lose their jobs in the next few years if the legislation is implemented.
The Epoch Times: House Freedom Caucus Vows ‘Reckoning’ If GOP Passes Debt Limit Deal
The House Freedom Caucus, a staunchly conservative group, has threatened a “reckoning” against any Republican who supports the debt limit deal proposed by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and President Joe Biden. The 99-page Fiscal Responsibility Act would suspend the federal borrowing cap until January 2025 to prevent imminent default. McCarthy and Biden have heralded it as a compromise, but the Freedom Caucus argues that Republicans get “nothing in return” for the $4tn added to the national debt, and that the lack of any budget cuts in the proposal give Biden an “unlimited debt increase”.
Daily Wire: Sunny Hostin Blames ‘Misogyny’ And ‘Racism’ For Kamala Harris’ Public Image Struggles
Sunny Hostin of "The View" blamed "misogyny" and "racism" for Kamala Harris' struggles with public image. Hostin argued that Harris has been scrutinized because of her race, claiming that black women are considered less articulate and less attractive by the US. Hostin's cohost disagreed, saying that they should be able to fairly critique the US Vice President without saying that it is due to her race or gender. Towards the end of the show, Hostin also made comments about "white women" voting for Republicans because their husbands are, and added that "white women owned slaves as well".
National Review: Ron Wyden Consultant Facilitated $500,000 FTX Donation to Oregon Democratic Party: Report
Cryptocurrency company FTX reportedly donated $500,000 to the Democratic Party of Oregon (DPO) facilitated by a consultant for Senator Ron Wyden from Oregon. The CEO of FTX has faced charges of campaign-finance violations, among others. Susan McCue, a DC-based consultant who counted FTX as a client, made the connection between an FTX executive and Diana Rogalle, who has done extensive fundraising work for Wyden. The involvement of a longtime Wyden fundraiser and Wyden’s history accepting donations from FTX’s CEO suggest that the Senate Democrat was influential in securing the $500,000 donation, the largest single contribution ever made to the Democratic Party of Oregon.

The Blaze: Leftists enraged that kids cannot attend furry convention due to law ratified by DeSantis
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis ratified the Protection of Children Act, SB 1438, which prohibits children from attending adult live performances, causing Megaplex, a Furry/Anthropomorphic Arts Convention, to restrict attendees to those 18 years old and above. While the organizers claim their event is not inherently sexual, almost universal sexual arousal for anthropomorphic animals was found among male furries by a 2019 journal, and almost 80% identified as not-straight. Rolling Stone accused DeSantis of being responsible for preventing furry convention-goers from incognito contact with children, calling his act an assault on the LGBT agenda.

Locals organised a demonstration on Tuesday to protest against the scheduled demolition, holding up signs saying "Find Them First" and "Who is in the Rubble."

The Epoch Times: Sen. Graham Hits Back After Russia Issues Warrant for His Arrest: 'See You in The Hague’
Sen. Lindsay Graham responded to Russia's arrest warrant against him by saying he considers it a “badge of honor” and will submit to the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court if Russia does. Graham has been vocal on U.S. support for Ukraine and has urged politicians to declare Russia a state sponsor of terrorism. He also called for the United States to train Ukrainian pilots on how to use F-16s. Russia's spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, said it was hard to imagine a greater shame for the U.S. than having individuals like Graham as senators.
Fox News: North Korea to launch satellite for monitoring US military drills with South
North Korea announced plans to launch its first military spy satellite to monitor US military drills with South Korea, despite UN prohibition. However, it's unclear if the satellite can track activities in real time, and foreign experts questioned the capabilities of earlier Earth-observation satellites. Satellite images showed a rocket on a standby and a long, rectangular object and others nearby that could be rocket parts. Washington and Seoul view their regular military exercises as defensive and have been expanding their training since 2022 in response to North Korea's evolving threats.

The group is loosely linked to Fatah, the Palestinian Authority's ruling party. PJ Media: The CCP Slams Disney's 'Little Mermaid' Reboot
Disney's remake of The Little Mermaid, featuring a diverse cast and starring Halle Bailey as Ariel, has drawn criticism from both American media and the Chinese Communist Party. The New York Times complained that the film was not kinky enough and lacked black roles. Meanwhile, China's Global Times criticized Disney for promoting "political correctness" in its casting decisions, calling for original stories that represent marginalized groups instead of "sacrificing" classic tales. However, critics warn against supporting China, a human rights violator, and emphasize the need for caution when an enemy shares similar viewpoints.
The Epoch Times: Foreign Interference Inquiry is Needed, Former Intelligence Execs Tell Committee
Former intelligence executives in Canada have called for a public inquiry into foreign interference to restore confidence in the country's security institutions. The executives criticised the findings of special rapporteur David Johnston, appointed by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to investigate whether an inquiry was necessary, which recommended against holding one to protect classified information. Dan Stanton, a former Canadian Security Intelligence Service executive, said there were serious shortcomings in getting intelligence to policymakers and called for an inquiry to end national security leaks in the media since November. Artur Wilczynski, a former assistant deputy minister with the Communications Security Establishment, said an inquiry was necessary to establish processes for reviewing classified information and restore trust.

Daily Wire: ‘The Chosen’ Defends Pride Flag Spotted On Set: ‘Let The Show Speak For Itself’
Hit show, "The Chosen," defends the presence of a Pride flag on set with claims that people with different religious beliefs are involved in the show. The show's official social media account stated that the introduction of a Pride flag would not affect its theological rigor and that it remained committed to "honoring the authentic Jesus." However, critics argue that by having a Pride flag on set, the show is promoting "sexual immorality" and contradicting the Bible's teachings. "The Chosen" has previously received criticism for its portrayal of Jesus in Mormons' Book of Mormon.
The New American: United Methodist Church to Lose Nearly 100 Louisiana Churches in Fight Over LGBT Doctrine - The New American
Nearly one hundred churches in Louisiana have voted to leave the United Methodist Church over concerns regarding liberalization of teachings on homosexuality, a topic causing fear of schism within the third-largest Christian church in America. The issue has caused a split between the church’s conservative and liberal factions, with some churches joining the promise-keeping Global Methodist Church or becoming independent, while disaffiliations have been as high as 70% in some parts of Texas. In November last year, the UMC Western Jurisdiction made a married, gay man a bishop of the denomination, even though the denomination's Book of Discipline prohibited it.
As well as homosexuality, the UMC is being challenged regarding the cornerstones of Christian belief, including the physical resurrection of Jesus Christ. One bishop ordained in Indiana in 2022, Kennetha Bigham-Tsai, has reportedly refused to confirm that she believes in the resurrection, even though it is a crucial belief of the Christian faith. It is raising the question of whether some UMC denominations have become little more than social clubs or genuinely Christian. So far, more than 1,800 churches across the U.S. have already left the UMC since 2019.

Fox News: MLB pitcher rips Dodgers for reinviting controversial anti-Catholic group to Pride Night
Washington Nationals pitcher Trevor Williams spoke out against the Los Angeles Dodgers for reinviting the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence (SPI) to their Pride Night, saying it undermines the values of inclusivity and that the group mocks his religion. Dodgers star pitcher Clayton Kershaw also criticized the decision, saying he doesn't agree with making fun of other people's religions and that the decision to bring back the team's Faith Day was in response to inviting the SPI. The Dodgers' Pride Night will take place on June 16 and Faith Day on July 30.

Fox News: Tina Turner suffered from kidney disease before her death: 'I have put myself in great danger'
Tina Turner died of natural causes at 83, having struggled with long-term kidney disease. She had announced her support for an international campaign for kidney health in March. Turner's battle with kidney issues started when she was diagnosed with hypertension in 1978, but she avoided medication. She later turned to homeopathic medicine and was suffering from late-stage kidney disease by the time she began dialysis. In 2017, Turner had a successful kidney transplant from her husband, Erwin Bach. More than one in seven U.S. adults have chronic kidney disease, says the CDC.
PJ Media: Peer-Reviewed Study: 'The Higher the Number of Vaccines Previously Received, the Higher the Risk of Contracting COVID-19'
More COVID-19 vaccines lead to a higher risk of contracting the virus, according to a pre-print study that has now been peer-reviewed and confirmed. However, the media dismisses studies that contradict their narrative. This study's conclusion also challenges the prevailing idea that COVID is a "pandemic of the unvaccinated." Pfizer and Moderna should be held accountable for their misinformation campaigns, and the blanket immunity from damages caused by their products should be retroactively revoked.

PJ Media: Florida Furries Stymied by Child Protection Law, Make Convention 18+
Florida's "Protection of Children Act" has led to sexually deviant groups exposing themselves as they backtrack on their plans to expose minors to indecent live performances in Florida. Recently, a furry convention called Megaplex held annually at the Orlando Hyatt Regency, changed its attendance criteria to allow only those aged 18 years and above to attend the event, causing a lot of frustration among parents whose children are involved with the subculture. Parents believe that the Megaplex had a choice between excluding minors and excluding kinky furries, and it chose to exclude the minors; it also highlights the Left's atmosphere of endorsing indecent, groomy material.

Brandt said the teenager was part of a "Republican extremist" group, but a review of the 911 call transcript proved otherwise. North Dakota Highway Patrol Capt.
