The Epoch Times: Chick-Fil-A Faces Growing Backlash Over 'Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion' Efforts
Chick-Fil-A Faces Growing Backlash Over 'Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion' Efforts
Conservatives have called for a boycott of Chick-fil-A after discovering that a vice president of 'diversity, equity, and inclusion' was appointed in late 2021. Critics have argued that DEI principles are rooted in Marxism and criticised them as vehicles for “left-wing racialist ideology and partisan political activism.” Chik-fil-A described the appointment as "ensuring mutual respect, understanding, and dignity everywhere we do business".

Companies including Bud Light and Target have faced numerous boycott campaigns from conservatives, who argue that these companies promote left-wing values or a pro-LGBT agenda. Bud Light sales have declined by 29.5 per cent YoY while Target has faced threats to its team members' safety and an overall decline in stock.

Sherrod Brown (D-OH) in the Senate race.

PJ Media: Could Industry and Political Pushback Kill the EPA’s Electric Truck Plans?
Could Industry and Political Pushback Kill the EPA’s Electric Truck Plans?
The Biden administration wants the trucking industry to switch to electric trucks, with the EPA proposing more stringent regulations that include making all new trucks zero-emission starting in 2045. The industry is concerned about costs, charging time, battery weight, and the strain on electric power grids. Concerns have been raised by GOP lawmakers and conservative activists, stating the administration is attempting to hijack the auto industry and determine what products are best for the American people. Democrats argue their handouts and tax breaks are enough to help the industry transition.

The Federalist Papers: Justin Trudeau Claims American Pushback Against Woke Politics Is "Scary," Gets Reamed Online
Justin Trudeau Claims American Pushback Against Woke Politics Is "Scary," Gets Reamed Online
Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau expressed concern over the growing resistance to woke ideology in the United States during a Q&A session in Winnipeg. A member of the audience expressed concern over Canada protecting its youth from this anti-woke movement, to which Trudeau pledged to safeguard the 2SLGBTQI+ rights and women's rights. However, this advocacy for government intervention is deeply flawed and essentially advocates for the enforcement of gender ideology on the public.

Trudeau labels the reversal of woke politics in the US as an attack on 2SLGBTQI+ rights and an assault on women's rights. However, the laws passed in conservative states aim to shield children from indoctrination and premature sexualization. Trudeau's government must push for critical thinking and oppose indoctrination with woke propaganda, which involves intentionally omitting the fact that these laws revolve around protecting children. The disinformation campaign has an international reach with the intention of shaming Americans who refuse to comply.

Breitbart: Ex-China CDC Head Says Wuhan Lab Accident a Possibility
Ex-China CDC Head Says Wuhan Lab Accident a Possibility
Former head of China's CDC, Gao Fu, told BBC that scientists should not rule out the possibility that the Wuhan coronavirus began spreading as a result of a laboratory leak at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. While the institute has denied any blame for the pandemic, Gao claimed that the investigation into the WIV found no evidence of wrongdoing. As of now, all hypotheses remain on the table regarding the origins of COVID-19.

The official stance of the Chinese Government is that the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic began with a lab leak at the U.S. Army facility in Maryland. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokespeople claim that the virus began spreading in Maryland in mid-2019 and that the US government hid the disease using vaping injuries as a cover-up. The Chinese embassy in the United Kingdom responded to the BBC podcast by asserting that the “lab leak” was a lie created by anti-China forces. Despite this, scientific consensus exists that the virus began to spread on a large scale in Wuhan, China, due to the government's actions.

Author calls out booksellers in Israel for refusing to sell her book opposing trans agenda: 'It's shameless'
Abigail Shrier, author of "Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters," called out the "leftist media" for their narrative about the reception of her new book in Israel, where the top two book chains refused to carry it in stores after giving in to activist pressure. Shrier clarified that hundreds of Israelis still registered and paid to attend her talk in Tel Aviv, despite protests and event disruptions. She warned Twitter followers not to fall for the media's downplay of support as a technique totalitarians have always used to make opponents appear small and marginal.

Shrier's book describes the sharp uptick in adolescent girls experiencing rapid-onset gender dysphoria, and the methods of "educators and therapists who push life-changing interventions on young girls—including medically unnecessary double mastectomies and puberty blockers that can cause permanent infertility." Shrier alleges that trans activists and the "leftist media" have been pushing a false narrative to make their opponents appear small and marginal. This is not the first time Shrier has faced pushback for her book, as Amazon blocked the book from paid advertising in 2020.

MSNBC Guest Says Target Boycotts Are ‘Literally Terrorism’
An MSNBC guest labeled boycott threats against retailers like Target as "literal" economic terrorism, claiming that the small number of people can control what a store sells just by refusing to buy it. Critics argued that it was capitalism at work. Target has faced backlash over promoting LGBTQ Pride displays, resulting in a 14% drop in stock price and $10 billion loss in market capitalization in the last ten days.

There are now 20.2 million people with a history of immigration living in Germany, accounting for 24.3% of the population, and a rough calculation suggests there may not be a Germany in a generation.

South Africa Protects Putin from ICC Arrest Warrant, Allowing Him to Attend BRICS Summit
South Africa announced it plans to grant diplomatic immunity to attendees at the BRICS summit in August, including Russia's Vladimir Putin, who is wanted by the ICC for war crimes. The ICC issued the warrant for Putin, and a senior official, Maria Alekseyevna Lvova-Belova, in March 2023 over "the war crime of unlawful deportation of population" from Ukraine into Russia. South Africa's commitment to enforcing the ICC's warrant had already been questioned in 2016 when it threatened to leave the ICC under similar circumstances surrounding the then-Sudanese leader Omar al-Bashir, also indicted by the ICC for war crimes.

The Epoch Times: By Supporting China, Saudi Arabia Risks Secondary Sanctions
By Supporting China, Saudi Arabia Risks Secondary Sanctions
China imported the most oil from Saudi Arabia in April, with year-to-date imports rising by 2.9%. The kingdom imported 8.46 million tons of oil to China, compared to 7.12 million from Russia and 4.72 million from Iraq. The Saudis are also seeking to import weapons from China and negotiating the denomination of the arms deal in yuan, rather than dollars. The CCP is trying to pull Saudi Arabia into the BRICS network, and the possibility of Saudi Arabia associating with China and Iran could prompt secondary sanctions on the kingdom, leading to a permanent decrease in oil revenues and jeopardising investments.

Fox News: CNN hemorrhaging viewers since irking liberals with Trump town hall, hits several recent lows
CNN hemorrhaging viewers since irking liberals with Trump town hall, hits several recent lows
CNN has been struggling with low viewership since its town hall event with former President Trump earlier this month, with only 371,000 viewers during the prime time hours of 8-11 p.m. from May 15-21, the lowest in the category since May 2014. The network’s performance among the advertiser-coveted demographic of adults age 25-54 was even gloomier, as CNN managed only 73,000 average demo viewers the week following the Trump event. The meager total was CNN’s smallest average audience in the critical category since July 2000. Many on the left, including CNN's own staff, were outraged at the event, which featured a lively, pro-Trump Republican studio audience, and the network continued to face criticism for hosting the event.

CNN's Oliver Darcy was scolded by CNN CEO Chris Licht for the emotional tone of his coverage when he reported that the network faced fury from its own employees over the Trump town hall. CNN anchor Christiane Amanpour also went on a tear against the town hall in a commencement address she gave at the Columbia Journalism School, revealing she confronted Licht with her opposition to Trump getting such a platform. The viewership reduction since the town hall is not the only issue CNN has faced since the event.
