Fox News: Debt deal with Biden a 'betrayal' that could cost McCarthy speakership, House Freedom Caucus member says
Debt deal with Biden a 'betrayal' that could cost McCarthy speakership, House Freedom Caucus member says
Rep. Chip Roy threatens to oust Speaker Kevin McCarthy from leadership due to the debt deal struck with the White House. Roy claims the deal would add $4 trillion in debt without significant spending cuts and goes against the power-sharing arrangement promised to the House Freedom Caucus. McCarthy defends the deal as a step in the right direction.

One of the concessions McCarthy made to secure his speakership was reinstalling a rule allowing one member to force a recall vote for any reason. Roy is one of at least 10 Republicans who plan to vote down the McCarthy-Biden deal. The deal would claw back unspent COVID-19 funds, cut funding to the IRS, and suspend the debt limit until after the 2024 presidential election.

Foreign and domestic extremist groups pose a threat, with several recent incidents signaling future violent attacks. The DHS is collaborating with the FBI and other federal partners and programs to identify threats and protect potential targets.

STUDY: TV News Blamed GOP, Not Big-Spending Dems, for Debt-Ceiling Drama
The recent deal between Biden and McCarthy may have ended the debt ceiling fight in 2023. However, liberal journalists have blamed Republicans for potentially causing a catastrophic default, painting GOP proposals to trim spending as extreme attempts to "gut" liberal programs. The media favors portraying Democrats as reasonable and Republicans as the obstacle, while barely mentioning the danger of the national debt. Most of the coverage emphasized the catastrophic effects of a potential default on the American economy, yet the danger of the exploding national debt was barely mentioned.

The New American: Liz Cheney Booed During Colorado College Commencement Address - The New American
Liz Cheney was booed by half the students and some who didn't boo turned their chairs to show their backs during her commencement address at Colorado College where the motto was "You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free." She claimed her fellow Republicans wanted her to lie about the 2020 election and 6 January attack, and praised her role on the phony January 6 "investigative committee." Cheney never mentioned the criticisms of a former adviser to Trump or Votebeat. The college's class motto comes from black feminist socialist Audre Lorde: "Caring for myself is not self-indulgence. It is self-preservation and that is the act of political warfare."

The Epoch Times: Special Rapporteur Johnston Refuses to Appear at Committee Studying Trudeau Foundation
Special Rapporteur Johnston Refuses to Appear at Committee Studying Trudeau Foundation
MPs on the House of Commons public accounts committee have threatened to issue a summons to Special Rapporteur David Johnston, following a refusal by Johnston to take questions relating to his previous role at the Trudeau Foundation from the committee. Johnson was appointed special rapporteur under Prime Minister Trudeau for the investigation of foreign election interference in Canada. On 23 May, he called for a series of public hearings after determining that a public inquiry could not be held because classified information could not be revealed to the Canadian public. Johnson dismissed allegations that his previous membership to the Pierre Elliot Trudeau Foundation would influence his findings and recommendations.

Other witnesses, including Edward Johnson and Mel Cappe, both affiliated with the Trudeau Foundation, have also refused to testify. The public accounts committee has sought records relating to the Foundation’s 2016 misrepresentation of a $140,000 donation from China's state-backed China Cultural Industry Association. A motion has been served to summon witnesses to testify before the committee due to concerns that the Foundation may have been targeted by Chinese agents.

Hostin references a study of over a dozen women in Pennsylvania, who claimed that the economy was more important than sexual abuse allegations against the former president.

Foreign Policy: Nigeria’s Last General Departs the Political Stage
Nigeria’s Last General Departs the Political Stage
Nigeria's new president, Bola Tinubu, was inaugurated yesterday, marking the first time since the end of military rule in 1999 that a president without a military background has taken office. Tinubu's ascension ends a succession of ex-military leaders at the top, but the transition is expected to be messy and complicated. The government’s mandate is wobbly—the opposition combined got more votes than the winning team. Questions remain about the way forward for Nigeria, including how the new administration will handle the country's security challenges, how it will deal with ethnic suspicions and divisions, and how it will address questions about the new president's health, accountability, and open governance.

Manchin praises debt ceiling deal, predicts passage despite GOP, Dem defections
Sen. Joe Manchin believes the debt ceiling deal struck by President Biden and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy will pass with bipartisan support, despite some opposition. Republicans have portrayed the inclusion of the Mountain Valley Pipeline in the deal as key to bolstering US energy independence. However, Sen. Tim Kaine pledged to introduce an amendment to the debt limit bill to strip the provision related to the pipeline. The passage of the bill remains uncertain, with both conservatives and progressives criticizing the compromise legislation.

Biden's Dem opponent Robert F. Kennedy Jr sides with Elon Musk, vows to end 'censorship-industrial complex'

Kennedy tweeted that "private companies can resist, but governments can shut down platforms like Twitter or fine them into oblivion". He added that he will end the "censorship-industrial complex" and restore the US's supposed role as a champion of freedom in the world. This news falls under the category of .

Elon Musk, a "free speech absolutist", has said that Twitter has no choice but to comply with government censorship requests or risk facing legal repercussions. He commented that while Twitter will comply with different nations' social media laws, these laws may conflict with his goal for Twitter to be a safe haven for free speech. Musk also said last month that he was not aware of "what exactly happened" when a documentary on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was taken down from the site following a request from the Indian government. This falls under the hashtag.

Teens hospitalized in Rhode Island after roof collapses at state park abandoned building
Four teenagers were injured when an abandoned building's roof collapsed in Rhode Island. The boys were exploring an abandoned structure in Brenton Point State Park in Newport when one fell through the roof. They were aged 12, 15, 15 and 16 and were taken to hospital.

"The Bells" building in Brenton Point State Park has historical significance, so the administrators are having a difficult time on deciding what to do with the structure after the incident. Despite being fenced off and marked with "No Trespassing" signs, "The Bells" has become a frequent site for illicit exploring by park visitors.

Attendees must be 18 or older, says the statement, after reviewing Florida SB 1438. Fox News: Iranian president hacked as group claims data shows expanded security around nuclear site
Iranian president hacked as group claims data shows expanded security around nuclear site
A dissident hacker group called Rise to Overthrow claims to have breached the servers of Iran’s President Raisi and leaked sensitive data on national security issues regarding Iran's underground nuclear facility Fordow. Previous reports reveal that Iran is advancing its nuclear activities, including developing uranium with near-weapons grade, raising concerns among experts. The hacker group reportedly gained access to over 1,300 computers within the presidential institution's internal network, including 120 internal servers, adding to earlier reports of the same group hacking servers of Iran’s foreign ministry.

The released documents reportedly detail new security measures for Fordow, including an increased security zone due to "foreign agents" posing a threat. Photos of the Iranian regime’s Supreme Leader and President with red crosses over their faces appeared on websites linked to the president’s office, along with the slogans "Death to Khamenei" and "Hail to Rajavi." The opposition group National Council of Resistance of Iran revealed that Rise to Overthrow is not part of the NCRI but is sympathetic to their goal of "toppling the regime." The Biden administration is seeking to revive the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, despite Israel's calls for the IAEA to take a robust stance against Iran's regime.

The Epoch Times: How Lockdowns Bolstered an Industrial Cartel
How Lockdowns Bolstered an Industrial Cartel
Lockdowns destroyed millions of small businesses, and large corporations emerged richer and more bloated than ever. Small businesses were declared nonessential, while big chains were deemed essential, leading to a massive industrial subsidy to large companies. In addition, the stimulus loans were not enough to make up for the losses, and their supply chains were wrecked because they were either starved for business or gobbled up by large corporations. As a result, retail trade and hospitality are still struggling, while the information sector is larger than ever, leading to an attack on property rights, free enterprise, and the competitive economy.

Lockdowns were an attack on property rights, free enterprise, and the competitive economy, benefiting industrial cartels, particularly in the information sector. The winners of lockdowns were big corporations, which emerged richer and more bloated than ever, while small businesses were destroyed. The situation was similar to industrial cartelization in fascist-style economic structures, which privileged the largest industrial players and became agents of state power. The response should be to restore competition and commercial freedom along the lines of postwar Germany by dismantling industrial cartels, decentralizing, deregulating, cutting and eliminating taxes that are barriers to business formation, bolstering property rights, ending subsidies, stabilizing current, and encouraging freedom in the economic sphere.

Kevin McKernan, a scientist and expert in genomic sequencing, used Pfizer and Moderna vaccines as controls in his sequencing problem, and discovered that they were contaminated with DNA. The plasmid DNA contained in the vaccines was viable and capable of becoming part of the genome of an organism. This raises concerns about the safety and regulatory oversight of mRNA manufacturing, as well as the implications for the health and future of those who have received the mRNA injections.

The Epoch Times: Albanian Migrants in UK Jails Almost Double in 4 years
Albanian Migrants in UK Jails Almost Double in 4 years
The number of Albanian foreign nationals in British custody has almost doubled in four years to almost 1,400, with those from the Balkans now forming the largest group of foreign inmates in England and Wales. The rising numbers have sparked concern in the UK, with jails already at 99% capacity. As we reported this week, the UK government last week said it would be sending 200 jailed Albanian prisoners back home to serve the remainder of their sentences, with offenders handed terms of four years or more scheduled to return to their native country. The development comes after a record 12,301 Albanians reached the UK by small boat last year, representing a quarter of the total of 45,755.

80 Albanian migrants have been sentenced to 130 years in jail in just the first four months of this year alone, with the offenders convicted of offences such as murder, manslaughter, rape and violent disorder. The cumulative total of 130 years in jail will cost the UK taxpayer at least £20m to keep the offenders in prison for the duration of their sentences. The UK government last week announced it had reached a deal to send back to Albania 200 jailed Albanian prisoners to serve the remainder of their sentences amid concerns that most of the country's prisons are nearing capacity; this agreement is expected to free up jail space and double the number of offenders without UK citizenship removed annually.

Fox News: 'Succession' fan theory puts obscure World Series hero into national spotlight
'Succession' fan theory puts obscure World Series hero into national spotlight
A "Succession" theory suggests that Tom Wambsgans' fate was set in stone thanks to a bit of history about Bill Wambsganss, the only player to turn an unassisted triple play in World Series history. The theory points to Tom Wambsgans eliminating all of his opponents to become CEO of ATN, turning his own unassisted triple play in the process.

Despite the increased traffic to Bill Wambsganss' Baseball Reference page, there is nothing too outstanding about the player. He played for the Cleveland Indians, Boston Red Sox and Philadelphia Athletics before retiring after the 1926 season. Executive producer Frank Rich reveals that the character's name was picked before the first season and was chosen for the awkwardness of its pronunciation.

Silence is betrayal, especially when it comes to biological males competing in women’s sports. The prevailing sentiment that everything is for everybody is not true. Transgenderism and America’s assault on common sense are responsible for it. ESPN broadcaster Samantha Ponder recently became the center of controversy when she expressed her opinion in support of a swimmer who spoke out against gender-dysphoric males competing in women’s sports. However, the men at ESPN have not been vocal in support of Ponder, which is embarrassing and a testament to cowardice in pursuit of financial gain. 'Do Not Drive' Alert: Millions of Dangerous Vehicles Currently on the Roadways
Carfax reports over 2.5 million US vehicles still have outstanding "do not drive" and "park outside" safety recalls, with some of the notices over a decade old. Popular models across automakers such as Ford, Subaru, Chrysler, Chevy, Kia, and Honda are included among the 200 separate models under these urgent recalls. The notices highlight elevated risks for drivers including physical harm, accidents, fire and even death. Urgent recall notices are on the rise as cars have become more complex, a trend that may continue as older cars become more than a decade old.

Ford is recalling over 175,000 Broncos for seat belt problems with front-row seat belt latches that might be difficult to access from stowed position, which could lead to occupants not wearing their seatbelts. The recall only impacts five-door Broncos from model years 2021 – 2023 and Ford dealerships will provide owners with a sliding clip latch stop without charge. In addition, Federal officials are recalling 2021-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokees due to a problem with a steering column that may lead to potential loss of steering control. About 89,000 Grand Cherokees are impacted under the latest recall, with owners being contacted after July 7.
