Fox News: Mexico accused of financing Cuban regime by sponsoring 'slave' medical missions
Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador has faced criticism for importing doctors from Cuba and paying the communist regime for their services. Experts have cited concerns over this move potentially violating labor standards and human rights, as well as being used for intelligence and military missions. Critics have accused Lopez Obrador of strengthening strategic alliances with authoritarian actors in Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as with China, Russia, and Iran.
According to an investigation by Prisoners Defenders, some of the self-proclaimed "Cuban doctors" are members of the Cuban military and intelligence service and do not have any medical specialty. The regime in Havana has forced doctors and nurses to work overseas for pennies on the dollar, using this as propaganda to promote their healthcare system. The Cuban doctors have been called modern-day slaves, and there are concerns over the alleged complicity of certain governments to support this, as is the case with Lopez Obrador's government in Mexico.

Forbes: Lawyers Getting Tripped Up By Generative AI Such As ChatGPT But Who Really Is To Blame, Asks AI Ethics And AI Law
Two lawyers faced legal repercussions for using generative AI app ChatGPT to conduct legal research. They cited legal cases that they claimed supported their position in court, but which the opposing side could not find on any bona fide database of court proceedings. The lawyers turned back to the generative AI app for evidence, which further reinforced their claims. However, it later emerged that the cited legal cases did not exist. This incident highlights the importance of being mindful when using generative AI, as lawyers and others should double and triple-check whatever the AI app indicates.
