The Epoch Times: EXCLUSIVE: Novel Pro-Trump Club Woos Pennsylvanians, Following Florida Example
AmFirst 47, a pro-Trump grassroots organization, has formed in Erie County, Pennsylvania, to build support for the former President after observing the success of a similar group in Florida. Members of the Pennsylvania group hope to attract 15,000 members before the 2024 presidential primaries, and leaders of both clubs focus on correcting misconceptions about Trump, neutralizing criticisms of him, and educating potential voters about his accomplishments and future plans. The Erie County group's name references "America First" policies that Trump has espoused. The club is not a political organization and does not raise funds for any politician.
AmFirst 47 leaders are contacting participants in a range of issue-oriented organizations, including pro-life causes, National Rifle Association members, Hispanics, and college students. The group hopes to appeal to voters of all political parties as long as they support Trump and his policies. The club's founders believe that grass-roots organizing and personal outreach can be more effective at turning out voters than high-priced advertising. Erie County is considered a bellwether county, and voters have a track record of splitting their votes among Republican, Democrat, and Independent candidates.

The student speaker at CUNY's public law school commencement, Fatima Mousa Mohammed, called for a revolution to challenge "oppressive" institutions in America, including the military, police, ICE and the U.S. prison system. She claims that laws are a "manifestation of White supremacy" and called for liberation from capitalism, racism, imperialism and Zionism. She also spoke out against alleged injustices surrounding Palestinian political prisoners like HLF in U.S. prisons. Critics accused CUNY of silencing a pro-Palestinian voice after they initially took down the speech on YouTube and later released it following public outcry.

Indian actor Sonakshi Sinha stars in the Hindi cop drama, Dahaad, which is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The show is loosely based on the real-life case of serial killer Mohan Kumar Vivekanand, who operated in the Indian state of Karnataka in the early 2000s. Powerful themes like caste and gender-based discrimination have been praised, while some critics have said Sinha's character becomes flashy and the show highlights her style over grit. The show's creators, Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, did extensive research, which included talking with real-life cops and victims of prejudice, before creating the show's characters.

Forbes: The Philadelphia Union Are Rolling Again, Which Should Surprise No One
Philadelphia Union are currently unbeaten in their last six MLS matches, having won five matches during their run. The Union's resurgence this season has been predictable, having earned the most points of any regular season team since the start of 2019 MLS campaign, collecting 247 total over 139 matches. Bettors had initially written off the Union's chances of winning MLS Cup, but odds have already changed as the team continues to climb up the Eastern Conference standings. The playoff system may obscure the team's consistent league results, but their regular season performance over an extended stretch puts them in good standing to potentially make their playoff moment.
